That's a killer jacket dude. Glad you posted this cuz I've been curious about SL. Oh and the wife commentary is funny - so great hahaha
The patina potential on the olmo is pretty intense. I plan on doing a comparison video of all my badalassi jackets. Aero, Thedi, and shangrila. Love to get a field leathers in there. 😂
Here is this jacket with some wear

I have been really taking in a lot of content for inspiration to try help make an actual good and helpful comparison video. Most of my stuff this far has pretty much just been show and tell 😂
Awesome jacket! Do you know if this jacket has the buttons under the collar to attach a shearling collar? I have a shearling collared Varenne and am wondering if I could swap the collar to this one.
Thanks!
Unfortunately it doesn’t have the buttons to attach the shearling collar which was really disappointing. I would suggest if you order to email and request it be on there..
Man, that's some rich leather.
It’s darkened up a ton! I’ve been meaning to do a comparison video and also an update video because this jacket has patinated a lot since I first got it! I looks even cooler
looking great man! amazing jacket.
greetings from Italy
I love it! Nomad bag is next! Just waiting for a big pay day to come! 😂
Cool jacket! What are your measurements if I may ask, as I understood from the comments that you eventually went for an XL. Thanks!
Height- 5’8.5” I’m five foot 8.75 I’m almost 5’9”
Chest (relaxed) 42.75
Chest (expanded) 43.8
Stomach (at widest point) 40 in
Waist (actual waist taken over trousers and belt if worn, not jeans size) 38in
Denim Pant size 35
Did you order from their website? If so do you know anything about the return process for wrong size since it is international. Thanks
Yes I ordered from their site and I believe they have a short return window. I would email them and just verify that. I can’t find my email where i asked and they responded but I remember they offered it but the window was short. I had the same question/concern. Their support is really good!
That leather in that color is killer!
It’s really patinated up too!
Hello, thanks for the upload. How do the sizes run? What size did you get?
Got an XL the large I couldn’t zip up. I’m like a 42r size jacket normally.
Great! How’s it wearing in?
Very comfortable jacket
Can you post an update video?
Thats the plan! In the meantime I posted a couple cool pics on my instagram. instagram.com/p/C4ZSzPFpcLr/?igsh=MWQ1ZGUxMzBkMA==
Beautiful jacket. Congrats
Thank you 🙏🏼 it’s developing a lot of character since I’ll probably post an update after some more wear. The squeak has definitely gotten a lot quieter

is the size bigger or smaller than US size??
Thanks for the nice review! Very cool jacket! May I ask a few questions?
How is the color in daylight? Is it more cognac or more towards orange? And will it get darker over time?
Is the leather a bit scratch resistant or you see marks on it with every touch like some waxed leather jackets?
Cheers
Hi there! I posted this jacket on Reddit recently. It’s really aging beautifully! The color started out bright orange similar to the Taylor stitch jacket color. The high stress areas patina to a dark brown burnt orange. It’s really aging so beautifully compared to my other jackets. The patina potential on the olmo badalassi is INSANE! I promise! I’m working on a video where I compare this to my other two badalassi jackets from Thedi and aero.
Here’s the link to how it’s aged. But it’s patinated up a lot more since that photo!

Thanks for your response! Wow that's really beautiful! I'm actually in the process of ordering a custom Thedi, a mix between the 1260 and 1262 (need to go to a tailor first to measure me properly to not fuck it up) Then I saw your video about this jacket and I want one as well 😅, ideally with a removable shearling collar..
In your opinion is the quality between Thedi and this Shangrila similar and far above Schott?
Thanks again. Cheers.
@@ton8294 no offense to shangrila or schott but it doesn’t compare to Thedi. Thedi on a different level. There just isn’t a comparison in my opinion. Thedi is in a league of its own
OK! Thanks
How’s the leather?
Super supple
Awesome jacket!
Btw, did the squeaking ever go away after all this time?
Yes it’s a lot quieter now!! The aero hasn’t gotten that much quieter in comparison tbh but I also think I’ve worn this one more. I’m going to do an update video eventually as well as a comparison video!
