If she hadn't been nursed back to health and happiness, nobody would have wanted her. Her foster people can take in three dogs at a time, for three months. They can help 12 dogs a year. That's selflessness at its finest.

Foster parents are the best thing ever, but I can’t help wondering how that poor dog doesn’t feel abandoned all over again being sent to a new home. She had no idea that the people who gave her a reason to trust humans again were only going to be temporary. 😢
@@Bossmanrocks i'm fairly sure they did that. it seems like they've done this before and that they're experienced, so there's no way they didn't know to do that.
It's a sacrifice that must happen because that way, the foster parents can foster more dogs. Foster parents truly are heroes, id imagine it's super hard to let go of an animal you saved from the brink of death
I always felt this way too. This crosses my mind every single time. "You helped fix me and now when I'm all better, you leave me too?" I just can't fathom
For people wondering about the foster transfer. Rest assured you go through many protocols just to become a foster parent, including how to let them go to their forever home. Many places have the forever home picked out within the 1st month of fostering. They introduce them slowly till they can get to the point of transfer. The dogs or cats will be confused or sad but that usually only happens for the first few days, which is why most forever families are encouraged to super attentive during this point. Some fosters will do a weening off period as well, they will visit the new home for about 2 weeks, while increasing amount of time between visits. If the dog or cat is having a particularly hard time the families reassess their options from there. A lot of these lovely animals will live years and years with their forever home. A few days of being confused is a minor thing in the grand aspect of leading a happy life. Foster parents of any caliber are amazing, they also feel the sting of having to leave these animals, but they do it so they can help the next litter of kittens who lost their mom or the next puppy who was neglected, they know it will hurt to say goodbye, but it is a a necessary sacrifice to help those in need. They are heros heroes through and through.
Thanks for explaining this so well! I always wondered how abused animals learned how to trust their forever families after being helped so much by a foster family.
Kudos to the woman who brought Violet back from the brink. She was literally skin and bones at the beginning, and by the end, you couldn't see her ribs anymore. Thank you.

I still have 18 dogs and 50 cats all sterilized and I pray to God to give me strength and health to take care of them till the end!
That women is just awesome! She saved that dog. Lets face it: The chances to being adopted directly from the shelter were really low. I rescue cats and in my experience most people who adopt still want a healthy and good looking animal.
I want to get 2 cats in half a year. I would love to get them from a Shelter or a Farm. In Switzerland many kittens are born and given away in summer. But if i could chose, i'd rather take on a blind or disabled cat with a "healthy" one it would know. I have kind of a weekness for animals with problems.
@@woolypuffin392 If you want to take a disabled cat look for it on the internet. There should be groups on social media where "special" cats look to be adopted. At least that's how it works in Russia. Usually nobody wants them. I have a lot of respect for your choice. God bless you!
I have fostered a few animals over the years. We teach them basics of obedience and house training and then find them a good home. Sad to me that she was not with her forever home. She looked confused when they drove off. 😥🙄 I know its necessary but this dog looked sad and confused when she left. Thank you for helping her friend. ❤
It's always unfortunate when a dog has to leave a foster family, but it just has to be that way sometimes. The foster family can't always adopt a new dog and being fosters allows them to help other dogs before they find new homes. My dog also came from someone else, but she just couldn't adopt a second dog or she would've kept her.
I was thinking the same thing but it's just one of those things that needs to happen the foster family have experience dealing with damaged and vulnerable dogs. The dog needs to go through the therapy that the foster family provides if for instance the dog was giving to a forever family straight away it hasn't dealt with the trauma it suffered then say the dog then has a bad reaction and the forever family doesnt have experience to know how to handle the situation things escalate and the dog through fear bites someone what happens next is the dog then gets put to sleep another dog dies simply because it was never taught right from wrong
Very sad. Heaetbreaking. She has had two heartbreaks and abandonments now. Hopefully she will be well adjusted but would not be surprised if she developed some nervous tendencies etc. Anyway I guess the process of getting her better had to happen. So it's hard to see how else it could be done. Sad.
@@interestinguseful Terrible they kept her for all that time then gave her away. She would've been devastated. Nursing an animal back to health develops a special bond, that dog would've loved and cared about that family like no other.

What a sweet little angel. I don't know how anyone could have done that to her. Thank goodness for wonderful kind people who put the babies lives back together!
People usually don't develop the same close emotional bond with animals as the number increases. The first two may be hard, but the rest should not be. The brain quickly adjusts to establishing a more distant relationship like happens between a doctor and patient. Restoring an animal's health and life is very satisfying. You'll find yourself chasing that good feeling rather than wanting to keep all of them. If the majority of people today would lose their automatic "could never" attitudes, the world would be a far better place for everyone.
I thought this too but i recently rescued a cat that was the sweetest cat I’ve ever met! Unfortunately I was only visiting the country and had to go back to my own. So I knew I could only foster them (it was 1 at first but then he kept bringing his brother). I thought I’d have like a void in my heart (dramatic but if you’re an animal lover you’ll understand) when i got them adopted out but seeing them happy in their forever home where they never have to worry about all the dangers of being on the street...etc made everything worth it and there’s a sense of fulfilment. I feel like my heart has grown bigger in the process and ready to help more animals ❤️.
As a sharpei owner .myself this was really heartbreaking to see. How can someone leave her like that. Sherpei's are one of the most lovable and loyal breeds you can get. Now I'm gonna go hug my pup.
I could never part with a dog like that. You’re brought back from the brink because of me, you’re staying with me. It’s admirable, but I’d get too attached.
Yeah, my wife and I are included in that one.... we have too many animals as it is. 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 hamster, and a whole farm outside...yeah no fostering for us!
Not everybody can love and let go. Kudos to her. It's a selfless, rather than a selfish love. I would try but usually fail unless the perspective "nu" owners were super keen.
You foster a dog, and let them go to a good home, because you love them more than yourself. My kids cried many times when we let one go but they understood that every dog we let go was another dog we could save.
And this is the same feeling that help you keep going on, the fact that you helped to save a life. Everything that breaths and/or is sentient deserves to live a good life... I also hope to be strong enough like you.
@@scinformation7229 that is the whole the point of fostering, they provide the dog a home to help them socialize or just to give them a safe place and when the dog is ready, or when someone wants to adopt the dog, then they'll have to say goodbye to the dog! those who foster sign up for heartbreak once the dog is adopted, you have no room to call them idiots
They've gotta get them up to a good weight and healthy before they can move them to a permanent home I'd assume. Dogs adjust well, dog will be very happy as long as it is cared for properly.
Ahhh it's miraculous to see an animal come to life again after being shown human love. Amazing that they would ever trust us again. Thanks for giving her all the love and TLC she needed so much 🌺🌺🌺
I was so happy that she developed trust and clearly loved where she was / only to be sad seeing her confusion as she was driving away. I’ll add here that it’s great she was given good care during her recovery time.
My husband, who loves animals more than people, asks me how I can watch these videos. It's the ending, they always have happy endings and I love seeing dogs given a second chance. People who foster dogs and nurse them back to help are the best kind of people.
Yea, but then they make me think of all the animals that never got a chance. The ones hit by traffic on the side of the road because some ahole didn't bother stopping after running them over. People deserve death and no good deed will change that.
What a sweet girl. I don’t understand how anybody can treat an animal so badly. They have feelings too. Whitney, you are a godsend for these precious darlings. She looks terrific.
Blair Aria Van der Kamp Except even most children would have SOME capacity for understanding what’s taking place. They would also likely try to explain to them on their own terms what’s taking place. You can’t easily do that with an animal like a dog or cat. For them, they’d wake up one day expecting a routine or certain things to happen, they notice things aren’t the same and something big is happening directed at them, and then suddenly they’re leaving someplace else. They can hope the next place will as forgiving and nice as the last place they for taken to, but based on past experiences, they can’t know that for sure. They have no way to ask and they won’t know until they’re already thrust into the situation. That HAS to be terrifying. I would imagine a lot of non-verbal disabled children could go through similar things if they had enough of a communication barrier going on. Even then though, they’re still human and still understand at least SOME human behaviors on a biological level...so there would be SOME minute understanding even above a dog or cat in the same situation. Imagine if aliens we’d never seen before, that had societies and technology unlike anything we could’ve imagined did things like these do us. Why do you think alien abduction and the like is such a popular horror/psychological thriller subject in sci-fi genres?
ElysetheEevee I hear you but I feel if the family is loving and treats her well she’ll be very happy after all that’s all a dog could ever want love and compassion

Same I love dogs too much 🐶🐕🐩❤️
SO sad the dog then leaves with other people. She's like, Wtf? But I love that lady who saved me!!
If she hadn't been nursed back to health and happiness, nobody would have wanted her.
Her foster people can take in three dogs at a time, for three months. They can help 12 dogs a year. That's selflessness at its finest.
I know she did have that poor, sad look on her face 😢 and I bet it was hard to let her go not knowing if the family would be as good to her. Bless her heart, I pray she has a happy, healthy life!
Exactly as you said it! I'm feeling sad for that cute little doggie! I'm sure that doggie is feeling confused, too! And we have no idea if doggie is getting love or torture!
It was SO wrong.
@@graceygrumble exactly. Why give the dog to someone who just wants to drive off with a perfect specimen. When I fostered my Rottweiler, EVERYONE looked at her all scrawny with rough coat, drooping head, told me I was crazy having that thing. A year later, they were amazed at the beauty she had become, but I saw the beauty all along. 💜
I hope the "forever family" is as good as the woman who brought Violet back to life. SharPeis are beautiful!
Foster parents are the best thing ever, but I can’t help wondering how that poor dog doesn’t feel abandoned all over again being sent to a new home. She had no idea that the people who gave her a reason to trust humans again were only going to be temporary. 😢
I agree. It should have been done over a period of time where the dog could become accustomed to her new owner.
"You helped fix me and now when I'm all better, you leave me too?" I just can't fathom
xDynasys, you’re right and I understand, but the dogs don’t.
I'm a foster parent and it's heartbreaking for us to see them go, but knowing we're helping makes it worth it :)
Wish people cared the same about all the orphan kids hitting ages where no one will ever want them

Most dog I took in were animals no one wanted because of behaviour problems. If we don't find the foster babies forever homes we can not take other dogs in that would otherwise be but down. It can take up to a year before a dog is ready to go to e new home.

I thought the exact same thing.
She will learn to love her new owners just as much as she loved her foster mom. ❤️
@@amandamonroe1973 thank you Amanda. I know that but It was great of you to take the time to reinforce those thoughts. ❤

True. I thought that was her forever home at least during first part of the video.
But it's similar to children who are in foster care and then finally get adopted.
Blair Aria Van der Kamp
Except even most children would have SOME capacity for understanding what’s taking place.
