I have read Longarm and the Wendigo. It’s pretty much along the formula you described. It belongs to the genre I call Naughty Westerns because the sex is so explicit. Lone Star and the Gunsmith are other examples. I do plan on reading one for June of the Range.

I am well, Smiti, and hope you are, too. I'm glad you found this video useful. When possible, I like to provide context and similar examples, so people can make up their own minds about deciding to read these books.

The problem with Longarm novels is that Tabor Evans is a house name and the characterization of Custis Long varies for whatever author wrote that story. I haven't read any Longarm books in 10 or 12 years, but the three that I had at he time varied widely in style. Other than loving the ladies and a few other constants (like being based out of Vail and having the same boss), I'm not sure the character is very consistent across the many volumes.

I figured Tabor Evans had to be a pen name, seeing as "he" has written around 300 novels for the Longarm series since the 1970s, and sometimes as many as ten books a year.
