Top 20 Moves of Dynamite Kid

- Just taking a break from the Hardy Boys video since they have a million matches to go through. Been meaning to check out this guys work for a while now and now that I'm making lists again it seemed like a good excuse. Definitely recommend checking out his solo work in Japan in the early 80s, especially the matches against tiger mask.
That snap suplex was a thing of beauty
U see where Chris Benoit got it from🤔
No one did it better than Tommy 🔥
You can thank the great workers he was up against, for that.
They did most of the heavy lifting.
The quickness reminds of Kenny omega
@@jayvundla5473 he is still nothing to the legacy of the Dynamite Kid
Dynamite''s snap suplex was perfection personified.
Dynamite had a real talent for making even common moves look explosive.
@Shawn
Had Dynamite grown up
and lived here in the USA...
I think he'd made a hell of a
High School Football player
especially as a Strong Safety
and/or as Linebacker🏈💪💯
Chris Benoit literally was a spitting image of DK
literally
I believe they all train together with the Hart family, didn't they?
Even down to the trauma and hyper violence
Benoit and dynamite kid were good friends, and dynamite kid told benoit how to wrestle like he did, he wasn’t an exact copy of dynamite, but he was the closest copy you could get, after benoit died, dynamite shat on his name for killing his family, meanwhile says pointed a shotgun at his pregnant wife while his children were in the room, not much different, brain damage or no brain damage, they were greats of wrestling the promlem is, the higher you climb, the harder you fall, I believe they were both legends of wrestling, but there personal life was destroyed by there actions.
That's a fact
Bret hart was correct saying DK ushered in a new era of pro wrestling. His style excited the crowds and I loved watching his suplexs.
The originator!
If the Hitman says Dynamite was the best there was, is, and ever will be, who am I to argue otherwise.
Best half a wrestler. The other half is talking. 😳
This is the best comment on RUclips lol But you are right, I consider Brett the best but yes, DK was easily my favorite wrestler in his prime. Just an explosive force of nature he was and probably is the best ever.
Bad News Brown said he’s the best too
Arguably the best of all time, and for sure the best wrestler to ever come from the UK.
Chris Benoit surpassed him eventhough dk was his idol
The execution of this man's moves was insane. Wish current wrestling was more like this (and, perhaps, with better announcers).
Technical Excellence! Chris Benoit is the spitting image of him
6:34 Man, the strength of Davey Boy, to carry a man on his shoulders and then also be able to handle Dynamite stomping on them like that. Wow.
The guy Dynamite hit the clothesline with at 5:24 was actually a debuting Mick Foley. According to Foley, Dynamite dislocated his jaw with that and he couldn't eat solid food for two weeks after that.
I read his book too. Millions did actually.
Speaking of actually - delete yours; it's superfluous.
@@gregp103 Wtf were you even trying to say here
@@Peter-pd9hy Two, smarter people, understood.
@@gregp103 it's a fact worthy of note, which contributes more to the discussion than your overly pretentious comment
@@evansgate
The fact noted was already noted in a book read by millions of unpretentious people. Actually.
The only wrestler that makes a Snap Suplex look like a finisher
He was the excellence of execution the innovator the trendsetter
What a legend. Those knee drops were beautiful. RIP
They looked pretty stiff, hard to tell if they were or not. The ones getting it seemed to either sell it really well, or they were actually in pain.
Dude was ahead of his time
Nearly 40 years ago, professional wrestling was broadcast all over Japan every Friday night at 8pm. I was a junior high school student at the time, and I was watching Dynamite Kid's match with great interest. In his later years, he suffered from injuries and illnesses, but I will never forget him fighting in the ring.
40 years ago, on an episode of Stampede Wrestling, Ed Whalen announced: "We have special video tape from Japan". It was a match between Dynamite Kid & Tiger Mask. Absolutely awesome. Now, I can see that exact same match here on RUclips. Nostalgia + Technology = RUclips.
Herro
Absolute goat. hart, hbk and a few others have come close, but this guy is still the gold standard for an in-ring worker.
Wow!! One of my favorite wrestlers back in the days !! So sad what happen to him , r.i.p
The knee drop he does looks brutal. Id definitely wouldnt use that move ever
Every one of them looked on target. How tf did they not receive the brunt of that impact?
The only person he didn't stiff was Tiger Mask in that compilation (because of the respect he had). I love the Bulldogs but Tom stiffed a lot of people, especially if he didn't like them.
@@karthikayanagaraj9426 Yeah dk was an exciting wrestler, but a well know asshole in the locker room.
He had the best knee drop i have ever seen
Because they are real my goodness those were vicious
That's what I was gonna say haha
@@xaviergarza9002 how would you fake those or make them less painful??
@@xaviergarza9002 they aren't real. If you look closely he never hit his opponent. But the sudden stop make it look like it.
In all fairness, if he didn’t think someone was working properly, he would make his moves stiffer, or if he just felt like it, so some of the moves in this video are a display of that, especially in Japan.
He may not have been the nicest guy outside the ring, but watching this video & seeing his old matches wrestling would n't be what it became or what it is without this guy.
The backbreaker has to be so hard to do without hurting someone.
If you take notice. DK protected himself more than Benoit when performing the Diving Headbutt. Benoit would take all the impact to his head and upper body. DK would land on his knees first to lessen the impact to the head, and neck.
Everything is so explosive and looks so real and vicious. He’s the best wrestler I’ve ever seen footage of for sure from any era and so athletic.
Never realized he had so many signature moves. Always remembered him for his super quick suplex. They were great to watch as a tag team back in the 80s. Best years ever
I was about 8 years old when I first saw that snap-suplex when they wrestled on UK TV before they were WWF (I think), my face must have been a picture, because I was gobsmacked. I remember mom saying, "now you don't do that with your brother"
DK I believe was the the best wrestler ever, closely followed by Chris Benoit. Some brilliant matches in the early days of DK and Tiger Mask. Hats off to all three wrestlers, no BS hype, just pure technical wrestling. Back in the late 70's/early 80's I remember him fighting Jimmy Breaks and Mark 'Rollerball' Rocco, on UK's World of Sport. Brilliant stuff.
everyone said this guy had 5star matches, Chris Benoit and American Dragon (Bryan Danielson) where the best of their eras... it how real he makes it look and the fans respect that old and new
The way he ran the ropes so damn fast and hard should be on the list.. and his snap suplexes were a thing of beauty. Strategically executed every time. I really liked his greco roman gut wrench suplex, too. I learned something new from your video. I had no idea the move where he knees the opponents stomach is called the kitchen sink.
He was an amazing wrestler!! Thanks for posting.
great to see him in there hitting so many of these moves on my man Greg the Hammer.. probably my 2 fave guys of all time
While looked down on as an evil dude, he was literally the original Mr. Intensity! I guess crazy people just do it better sometimes
I’m sure he was called the man of a thousand holds way before dean Malinke
Dynamite Kid's snap suplex was stunning .No one has reach his level yet.
He was a bit before my time. But, he was my favorite wrestlers idol, and for that I began an interest in the Dynamite Kid, and I see such a similarity between the two, I love watching Kid perform, his technique and power are a truly amazing, r.i.p. Dynamite
benoit, right? me too man
Masterful!
Snap suplex should be #1. Never seen anybody do it better.
6:26 That was a perfectly executed Diving Headbutt. Beautiful! If only it wasn't so dangerous and destructive...
Some of those early rings didn't have much bounce to them. No wonder his back gave up.
basic moves but the intensity behind them were pure dynamite 🧨
The Goat.
An absolute legend!!!!
Simply the best!
All of his moves appear to make significant physical impact on his opponents.
I can see all of what this man taught Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit
Best technical wrestler ever
4:04 That girl in the front row was perhaps a bit too tender hearted for puroresu.
He was way ahead of his time.
Chris benoit before chris benoit
Those knee drops look stiff as hell!
Yeah didn't look very friendly haha
Every single one of them lol
Thank you for doubling down on snap suplex clips!!!
Dynamite should be in the hall of fame
His leg drop was so much crisper than Hogan`s.
Hogan has great charisma but really sucks
I was watching one night with my dad where he did the flying headbutt and actually hit it hard. He was bleeding afterwards and staggered. Was hoping to see that here. Great video
I remember that
The reason these moves look as good as they do is because DK was a psychopath who didn't care if he hurt people. Or more to the point, he WANTED to hurt people. In this video alone, you can see him dislocating Mick Foley's jaw so badly that it nearly ended his career, as well as delivering a piledriver where you can actually see his Tiger Mask's head hit the mat before Dynamite's knees. Not to mention the countless concussions those knee drops and head butts caused to both him and his opponents. He make have been a great wrestler, but he was an absolutely nightmare of a human being.
Omg his snap suplex was so masterful
His suplexes were dangerous
Between him and Dr Death Steve Williams...it would be a sight to see...
Legendary wrestler!
RIP DK..
That diving headbutt he did look legit devastating.
Snap Suplex should be his #1. It was was work of physical art.
Dynamite kid had a lot of moves! Hard to say who was better between him and Bulldog..
Hard to say, DBS went on to be a bigger star and was a safer worker, but Tom was an epic wrestler if not stiff. I prefer the safer workers but I think its a matter of taste.
I could watch his snap suplex all day.
Arigato Dynamite Kid!
My cousin used to manage the kid but unfortunately he died just before dynamite had full recognition
The bump on that last superplex was sickening
That tombstone piledriver looked stiff. Damn.
5:25, the clothesline that broke Mick Foley's jaw. The only wrestler that showed concern for Foley was Greg Valentine. No wonder why Foley called Valetine a hero.
His style reminds me of Benoit
That's because Dynamite was Benoits Idol. When Benoit was getting started in Calgary Dynamite was the king of the promotion. He's the only WWF wrestler never to have an exclusive contract because he would go wrestle in front of huge crowds in Japan where he was a legend also. He's the best of all time.
Ok jump off the back into head but perfection
Damn some of those moves looked painful, like those knee drops.
Boy he beat the crap outta the hammer..
He deserves to be in the HOF.
Benoit v dynamite kid both in prime would have been something, also as a tag team.
There's a cool clip of Tom giving Benoni his boots in Calgary I think. Haven't seen them wrestle though.
Someone on here said that Benoit was really spitting image of dk he honestly fought like dk as well has that style that legit make it look like he almost broke someone
What happened to your Mick Foley hardcore compilation, copyright I assume?
Yeah I'll have to re-edit it, took ages to make so I'll get it up one way or another haha
輪島大士とシングルマッチで見たかった。
山崎一夫とシングルマッチで見たかった。
Absolute shit of a human being but boy could he wrestle. Gave his all to the industry and wrecked his body/health as a result. His snap suplex was just a joy to watch, the sheer speed and technique was flawless.
So... his kids forgave him, his ex-wife forgave him, he apologized to numerous people in his final years, but some stranger in a RUclips comments section still has a grudge.
You have serious emotional issues, my friend. Seek help, you clearly need some. People are always ready to help.
@@Rjensen2 Apologizing is the right thing to do but damage is already done to those people, regardless if they accept apology or not. By the way you are projecting your own emotional issues to others, I'm sure andrewlaw is doing just fine.
@@danfors1333 His daughter and ex-wife would disagree.
@@Rjensen2 So it's OK to act fully evil towards others as long as you know they will be kind enough to forgive when you ask for forgiveness? Most of the trauma stays forever regardless how much the victims tries to forgive and forget.
@@danfors1333 Go to hell.
His tombstone looks so dangerous, unlike the one from Taker! XD

Will you continue the 2002 and 2003 best moves?!
I might in future, they often get flagged for copyright though
4:34 ring is like a trampoline and the next one is like a wood board
彼は、偉大なレスラーでした
He was grease lightning 🌩 before it was around
Guess u Agree, did u know him
Main protagonist of Mat Mania.
Bob Orton did a superplex. THAT Dynamite Superplex Off The Top Rope was no more a superplex than a splash off Bret's Rope is a Superfly Splash.
Tom Billington was the best ther is, best there was, Best there ever will be!!.. Brett Heart. saw Dynamite Kid in Portland, OR 1983 OR 84 VS Kurt Henning & Buddy Rose when i was a little kid Dynamite was so fast, dove across the ring, fly higher then anyone off the top nobody compared. Dynamite & Tiger Mask have the best matches fast paced he layed it all on the line will always be the greatest
Fake or not the ability to do a knee drop and not completely wreck the other guy's face is impressive.
VOTE TRUMP 2024..
I worked out with DK a couple times at BJ's gym in Calgary before the steriod's, I was younger and smaller too he was very nice to me but from what I heard the type of steriod he took turn's nice guy's into monsters, I took the same steriod when I hit my 40's and I can tell you from first hand experience it's not a good thing for the people around you
Apparently not a nice person , but quite literally the Mozart of wrestling imo 👍
...oouch!!!
最高のレスラー リアル爆弾小僧。
I found where Bret got his style from
…And What about is snap suplex
He was wrestling like it was actually real. Like he’s actually attacking them. Just brutalizing him opponents
1:56 ... looks like a young Mick Foley 🤔
My dream match would be Dynamite vs Steamboat.
Not the biggest of men..But technically perfect!!!
Most only have one.
