Helpful advice, thank you.
My first show I printed on sight my brand on hoodies for the customer to see. I had my brand models wear those customized hoodies on the runway right afterwards.
hell yeah! was it a fashion show?
Thank you so much for sharing your successes AND fails with us! Outside of messing things up ourselves, this is how we learn and succeed more often!! Much appreciated!
Love the game fam. You’ve literally been my “professor” since around 2017-19. I still have your ebooks and STILL learning. Thank you for it ALL!! 💯🏴☠️🥷🏾
This was so helpful, and eye opening. I’ve helped someone else out with setting up and selling at these markets and everything you said hit so hard, down to the “I have a banner now” confidence with zero sales outcome 😂😅
Shot out from the Bay Area. I’m doing my homework before going out and start vending. This video is mad helpful. You drop knowledge and inspire. Keep it up💯
Thanks bro! This really helped me a lot. I will be attending a Pop-Up Show soon, where there are vendors promoting and selling their products. If I can remember I will keep to date how it went.
I like the information. You are going in the right direction.
i appreciate that! thanks for watchin 👊🏾
When everything starts going wrong, i come back to this video for inspiration.
Great advice. Thank you.
That was a great video about selling experiences.
Brendoh thank you for the authenticity! Big jewels in this video. Love the mind set human connection before sales, the money will come. God Bless 🙏🏽
Thanks for the awesome info a lot of good tips brother 👍🏼 keep up the good work and content.
For reals man ! BS aside these people with the thumbs down are pissing me off... he is opening up our eyes to failures that we can go through some day! Take notes wtf ! Smh 🤦🏻♂️
Thanks Big Brandoh your the man with all these helpful videos !
hahaa yooo i appreciate that Andres. thanks for watchin and for the continued support! 👊🏾
🤣🤣...When is the book comin out? I never would've thought that you would go through all that. Great info as always. The moral of the story is. "Ya Live and Learn". Preciate you keepin it 💯
live and learn!!! 💯💯💯 thanks for watchin
From setting up information booths for a public radio station I was at in Irvine, Ca, I learned to ask my vendor booth contact to place me on the aisle that leads to the bathrooms. Corner spot worked best. Why? Everyone goes to the restroom several times a day. Especially if they have kids or they be drinking a lot.
thats a really good tip! thanks for sharing! golden idea too George.
Big Brandoh if me and you are ever at the same event, I get dibs on that spot homie. What is funny is at the beginning of the event you think it is a horrible spot. Two hours into the event it turns into the aisle of gold. Crack a joke while they run past you to go pee and they will visit you when they are happy that they did not go in their pants. Have a roll of TP with you for fun and wave it as they run past you.
Damn...you were ALL up in my head man. I am a photographer and now selling tote bags until I get to do people photography again. My ideology of a show with tables, hanging my tote bags and anticipating buyers coming up and purchasing stuff was EXACTLY as you mentioned here. I am SO humbled right now. "Who are your target audiences? How/where do you find them or they find you when 1st starting out?" Thank you SO much for this video. I was going to try and incorporate photography (headshots) while offering totes are same time, but wondering if that is a failed idea (do either or)? But, if photography is slow now because of COVID fears, do I completely dismiss it and just do totes? How can I steer them towards my true passion of photography and can I merge the two (photos and unique designed tote bags?
Great info Brandon! Thanks for the video! Jason
thanks for watchin
Heard about you from T Shirt Side Hustle. Great information you're sharing. Thanks!
Great info man thank you for this I really enjoyed this video
Doing my first 2 Vendor Events this month and next so Im glad I found this video their were some things I knew but who would even think about stuff like people coming in the tents and looking around or passing out discount cards I’m glad I watched this
Great videos. Thanks!
thanks for watching
Yeah man, them harsh realities teach you alot.
cashing in reality checks left and right hahahaha. 🤙🏾
Loves This Video FAM.
At my very 1st show I didn’t buy a vending space & I had to leave because it was a sold out show :(
My 2nd show I was placed in the very back next to emergency exit :(
Fast forward to now, I have a custom 10x10 canopy that stands out so much,
a double sided 10x6 banner so people in front & behind me can see my booth, a custom 6ft table cover and everything is matching & on point. It took time to put together but I love my mobile apparel store. Hope One Day You Big Brandoh can swing by one of my shows, after the COVID-19 calms down 1st.
thats right! i gotta bring my frenchie out to one of your shows out here!
Thank You!! I’m learning not to expect to sell out at these events. This video confirms the lesson I was struggling to grasp. 🤦🏾♂️
selling out would be nice but when your whole game plan is structured around selling out. its a crippling feeling when you dont. so build the plan around the experience, marketing and advertising and just brand awareness. making sales is cool but brand awareness is also very important
Can you vlog your next vending event? Good storyteller i could actually envision everything you were saying. 🙂💯
thats the plan. but with everything going on... i wont be vending anytime soon
Big Brandoh thank you!
Dude your the bomb, i did my first flee market last Saturday, i brought 3 different designs to it, and 2 were the sellers, and i gave out cards and now ive had 5 calls to make up different items and sizes that i ran out of. I also put a book out for people to give me there email to send them updated designs ill be marketing of what there into.
My first flee market and i did 245.00 in sales. Better than i was thinking i would do, plus i got more work.
Man love this channel
Yoooo Adam! I appreciate that! thanks for watchin bro
Good life lesson thanks
Thanks
Love the BS Series. I had been searching trying to find videos on vending prior to the pandemic because that was the plan for the summer. Now I have information to reference. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching and the continued support! 👊🏾💯👊🏾
I’ve been researching too. Then he popped up crazy thing is I already had his video saved in watch later playlist. Ty💛
Can you do a tutorial for making those dollar bill business cards?
probably wont be doin that one. but take a pic of a dollar, upload it to photoshop. Cut out what you dont want and add in all the info you want. send it to a print shop and knock'em out
🤣 I'm laughing because I had the samething as you when I first got started. I just knew that my shirts were going to sell like hotcakes. Man was I wrong🤦♀️
Alright just did my first round of pressing. 4 BC3001's 100% cotton. I am using the sig series 15x15. Transfer company said 375-385 for 7-8 seconds. First, the monitor on my sig series is WAY off. Set it to 385 and it shot to 400. Used the laser to set it to 380 and prepressed for 7 seconds and pressed the transfer for 7 seconds. First press came out perfect. Second press had a few spots stick to the sheet. 3rd press, half the transfer stuck to the sheet and the rest was bubbled. I didnt do anything different each time. All were different designs, but from the same printer (one from the book) and all from the same order. Any help is appreciated!
sounds like its either moisture in your shirt or not enough pressure. try maxing out the pressure knob to press as heavy as possible and then prepress the shirt till theres no more steam.
before pressing the whole design, cut one design up and then press each piece at a different temp. this way you can fond what settings work best for you.
Experience is everything. Thanks for sharing your story brother.
thanks for watchin
Your experience is definitely helpful and your storytelling skills are on point!
hahaa i appreciate that! Thanks for watchin
I dig the bs'ing series. I look forward to each one right on fam. I have question, you run multiple brands but do you do a dba for them individually? I ask because my brand has created it's own identity and I want to do designs/brand totally different what I am currently getting known for.
keep them separate. run your brand as your brand and run your graphic design and other brands separate. I structure my business based on everything im doing. theres more into what i do outside of the brands. so my structure is unique to the way i do things. yours would be different from kine as well.
@@BigBrandoh right on
Big Brandoh from the advice you give too the stories you tell thanks bro helps out a lot ...
yooo Carlos! thanks for watchin man. i really appreciate it. 👊🏾
Needed this!!! Just had my first event over the weekend. I will be changing things up next time! Thanks!
thanks for watchin. use each show you do as a learning experience. Make a list in your phone or write down what you could improve, what you should change, what worked, what didnt work etc... good luck with your future events! Get that money!!! 👊🏾
I was looking for information on this! This is perfect, thanks again for sharing. I have done some pop up events in the days of selling ladies fashion and same thing no sales or 1 sales. I went to so many events that I starred to get discouraged and stopped going cuz the time it takes to haul your stuff was exhausting. Fast forward 7 years later and new to the tshirt sector I have signed up for 2 night market events one in May and one just before Canada day. I wanted to mostly focus on clearing out all my merch (Womens dresses) that didn’t sell due to COVID cuz everyone was working from home, and “introduce” small part of the tshirt stuff.
My question to you is, have you ever set up as a “press & purchase” meaning did you bring your heat press and press tshirts as customer request based on the heat transfers you had as options? So if someone wanted blue size L in one of your transfer designs you would press on demand?
hi. i havent did live pressing at an event in years. i found success doing custom soccer shirts and baseball shirts at kids games. selling to parents and family members. but no success at craft fairs, festivals, swap meets... but live pressing numbers and names on shirts for family members of kids playing sports was a winner. hard part is having power for your press in your booth. some events i vended at didnt supply power.
Brotha Broandoh. Love the information you share! Don't stop bro.
yooo Johnnie! i appreciate that! thanks for watchin brotha 💯👊🏾
Transparency💯 for us NOT to stumble, Wisdom gained from experience, thanks B! For all that you do! Sending Vibes of Abundant & blessings your way bro!
yo i appreciate that! thanks for the continued support Jae. 👊🏾
@@BigBrandoh your BFlex HTV link 💯 excited to see what's it's all about got me some blk, wht, gry, gld, pnk, & some specialty GLOWIN DRK, REFLECTIVE! 🔥🔥🔥
Always great info....I am looking forward to conventions season and this was very valuable information....i've seen that walking in the booth thing at swapmeets going up in SoCal, very different experience versus the farmers markets where I live now...thank you again for sharing your early growth..
yeah two different styles right? walkin in a booth vs walkin past a table. makes a difference
@@BigBrandoh yeah...at the farmers markets you do get both type out here in Alabama but the majority is the walk by type....they don't mind you handling the merch...just don't invade the space...its kinda funny...it'll be nice when things get back to normal...well the new 'normal'
What’s a good sublimation printer?
i use the sawgrass. its thr smaller one the sg400. works perfect for what i need it for. Masks, Mugs and Socks. check the link in my description box
Thank you brother for your your knowledge it's crazy because everything you said I've done when I started 3 months and i been following you since like 6 months when i was thinking about making my dream come true since i was 10 😆 but yeah im still trying to figure out who to get my shit...i been going thru all your videos and i wanna say thank you brother.....Oh and Reyes the entrepreneur showed me a lot too a few years ago it's just that I lost a few of my people and got depressed I didn't do it till 3 months ago I want to tell you thank you guys
flying everywhere just till like 2 weeks ago I figured out the solution I tie two ropes around my booth hung my shirts with hangers and now I put clothes pins to hold them down and the table I put half or pictures and when they come by my Booth just looking I invited me and my booth that way they can look at all my merch
On my first stall I found researching your space allows you to plan your set up prior. And open set ups are much more welcoming. And even have a small attraction at your booth to draw people in. learned alot from it and hell yes brand awareness is the best thing you can take away whether a customer buys something or not.
Thanks a ton for sharing this Brandon! 👊🏾😎
yoooo you aint lying bro. that attraction thing is real. makes people walk in just to check it out hahahaa. thanks for watchin and sharing! 👊🏾💯👊🏾
@@BigBrandoh yeah man especially when there is a prize involved people flock haha
Any time my dude keep up the content its helped me so much with my stuff.
Stay safe Bigs!
Thanks for the gems bro. Always giving up that game. Saving us from bad moves. Good lookin out. I appreciate you bro!
thats right! thanks tor watchin! our goal is to keep more money in our pocket instead of wasting it on bad mistakes.
@@BigBrandoh that's a big fact!
Dropping Gems.... I appreciate your content... 💯💯💯
yoooo thanks for watching and the continued support! i appreciate it brotha! 👊🏾💯👊🏾
Always with that real deal!!! Sample pack!!! Waiting lol
Hahaa thanks Dina, Sample pack is coming...
Hey Big Brandoh, I made a mistake and have a question for you. I tried to apply HTV to a shirt using an iron for the very first time. Some of the vinyl came out really wrinkly. Do you know what I'm doing wrong? Is it too much heat, not enough heat? I'm not sure since it's my first time.
yeah. dont use a iron. hahaha. htv and other heat transfers need to be applied at a certain temp with even pressure. unless your iron can dial in a certain temp and you can gauge how much pressure you are distributing. but if you want to apply htv on shirts correctly, use a heat press. you will run into a lot of quality issues by using your iron.
Thanks for all the advice bro. I looking to do my first event soon and this helped me alot. I usually make my sales on instagram. And i think people purchased more items when they were able to walk in and touch the product was because once the stepped in the booth they felt like they had to buy something since theyre already in and engaged. Kind of like walking in a walmart or something you dont want to leave empty handed.
thats right!!!! good luck with with your first event! Thanks for watchin
Yo Brandoh appreciate you homie! One of my BIG tips with vending is LEARN while you EARN. Instead of wondering why you are not selling look at the booths that are selling or have big crowds and see if you can figure out what they are doing. It might be possible to incorporate what you think they might doing into your own thing. Keep yourself open to learning.
yessir!!! 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
Yo B! How many t-shirts designs should a person start out with? And when do you know to add to the collection or even remove a product from the collection? Thanks! Appreciate the wealth of knowledge as always!
you can start out with one if you wanted too. theres no set number. add products when you want and take down products that dont sell.
all of this stuff is based on what you want to offer and how you want to operate. i've launched with 1 shirt/1 design and i've also launched with 10 shirts/6 designs. theres no set number. for a successful launch, release the popular designs.
@@BigBrandoh whats a good start shirt
I just started making shirts and your videos and others have helped me alot being a newbie in the shirt making department so thank you for what you do 💯💯💯🐺
GET THAT MONEY!! Thanks for watchin
1st off. BS’ing series is fantastic! I learning something from each video.
2nd. I did the same thing my first vending event. Had about 6 different designs & 30 of each design. Pre-pressed and in binds ready to sell. Had the banner and 3 people helping in the booth. 5 hours later. 1 sale. 🤣🤣. Took me a year just to give the shirts away. Lesson learned the hard way.
woooooh i know that feelin Nick. hahaa thanks for sharing brotha! i appreciate it
Thank you for the info!
thanks tor watchin 💯
Always a wealth of knowledge and experience, I always enjoy BS'ing with Brandoh series... Has helped me soooo much!!! Keep up the good work Uso
yoooo thanks for watching and the continued support uce! i really appreciate it. 👊🏾
I know this question is irrelevant to the video but How can we open a silhouette design/file to photoshop? I’m having trouble doing so for my mockup
nah it doesnt work that way. if you create a design in silhouette it lives on the silhouette software. but if you create it in photoshop, you can save it and open it in silhouette.
in the future i would create all the designs in photoshop first. that way you can do your mock ups and open the design in silhouette as a png
Big Brandoh damm I have a lot to learn then . Still sounds puzzling to me.
Just when I was getting the hang of the silhouette studio . I’d pay you to make me a mock up if time on your hands and up for it
Big Brandoh hey so I figured it out & now I’m all done with my mockup. JUST one thing,,
After creating our mock up in photoshop in what format do we save it as in order to upload it to our online platform. In my case, Shopify.
How's everyone storing their transfer sheets?
in big envelopes or desk top file trays.
Shotgun envelops...with the heat instructions on top and which printer to on..in case I forget or get flustered and can't think...
Thanks. Been staring at this new press for a month in this transition period switching from POD to transfers and my first box of transfers just showed up. Bout to press for the first time today.
@@jakesilvia I got me a box of irregular tee's with some sample packs from fm expression and transfer express...it's cool when you're in the groove...but my 'groove' is like 10 shirts, I'm new, still doing shirts for friends and family...your 'groove' milage may vary...👍
“I’m gonna organize my sh**... I’m gonna” lol
This is why I love this channel, honest down to earth advice!
hahahahaha yo i appreciate that! thanks for watchin and rockin with my channel hahaha.
You all probably dont give a damn but does any of you know of a way to get back into an Instagram account..?
I stupidly lost my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me
@Edward Luca Instablaster ;)
@Dash Parker thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Dash Parker it worked and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much, you really help me out!
I've only done 2 events but that advice "don't go with the anticipation of selling out" is so real. I learned the hard way ha ha, but it's still so good to hear someone say this. Some things you have to hear over and over, be reminded of them. Have the anticipation of gaining new customers, I like that!
💯💯💯 thank you for watchin and also i cant wait till things open back up and we can vend out in public again! i love the experience
dope I like the story, I took a lot from this video.
I'm about to start pressing Tshirts and I appreciate the knowledge , learning a lot
yo D Hawk! I appreciate that. thanks for watching

You definitely could of made money if you would of catered to the demographic that was at the shows you vended at. But yes your target market was definitely not where you vended.
thats exactly it. knowing who is at the event and catering to will be there.
