@@Shinchan958-h9z It's because of his age where most people think he's too old where he could die in office or have cognitive decline down the road and mess up on things. He's Jewish and for some people, they do not like that. He had lots of supporters; however, can he win over a larger segment of the population in order to win in the national, general election? He truly cares about people. He spoke many times about people's wages should be, at minimum, $15 an hour and now it's realized in some states, which is helpful. Universal healthcare for all should only be for people who want it as some people actually have good or pretty good private insurance through their employers. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) was pretty good in the beginning; however, as time went by, greedy insurance companies have more control over it. For example, in Indiana, if you live in a zip code that the insurance company deems rural, then you get put on an HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) plan; you do not/cannot have a PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) plan. An HMO plan is super bad, you are so limited on doctors and hospitals where a PPO plan have a lot more providers. If the providers are not on the network and you go there, the insurance company pay $0 and you pay 100% of the bill. If you have a PPO, then you can go wherever you choose, and you won't have to pay 100% of the bill. In Indiana, thru the ACA, w/ an HMO plan which you have no say so, if you go out of state for your care, you pay 100% of your doctor bill, hospital, etc. Only time the insurance pays, is if you were traveling say to Georgia and you were involved in a car accident and get transported to a hospital, then the insurance pay for some of the bill. Bernie is a little too out there when he wants free college education for all. At one time he was saying a 4 yr degree for all should be free--later times, he changed it to community college (2 yr) free for all. My dad who is a lifelong Democrat and truly likes Bernie, like me, said he does not want to pay for that. I have a Bachelor's degree and know that free college education for all is not a good idea because there are people who would use that money and party hardy. They wouldn't graduate. And there are a lot of people in my community who feel the same. A much better plan would be is to give them a student loan at 1% interest. They would have a vested interest in their education and would be responsible and accountable. So glad he's in the Senate where he can do some good!

We have affordable health care, affordable education, no school shootings, social security, minimal wages. The only downside is that our GDP is a little bit lower. But only the top 1% rich people have a problem with that. So the only thing th USA has to do is changing their democracy to a system of proportional representation.

Bernie was apart of the civil rights movement and fought for years (www.motherjones.com/politics/2016/02/bernie-sanders-core-university-chicago/), and as for his "nothing of importance" accomplishments, well this list begs to differ (occasionalplanet.org/2016/03/04/a-list-of-bernie-sanders-accomplishments/).

I really believe RUclips stopped the counter. It hit 10 quickly and it might be 11 by now if it'd come up as recommended.

I will vote for whoever can ban lobbying as their first and second priority. It's ridiculous, how the government is openly bribed.

Umm you realize just a random group of people have the right to lobby government right? The whole reason this is allowed is to give little people an influence over our politicians. Yes, larger companies also take advantage of it. However, banning lobbying is a horrible idea. Maybe limiting who can participate is a discussion worth having though. Also, you cannot "openly" bribe an elected official, it is done more crafty than that.

You better become an anarchist than. "Lobbying" is inevitable under capitslism, there is no solution that can keep money out of politics. It is a systemic failure in capitalism that makes in incompatible with democracy.

@BallTastic Screecher sorry, but Trump's lobbying ban was all smoke and mirrors. 6 former admin officials are already back to federal lobbying.
      www.propublica.org/article/trump-appointees-pledged-not-to-lobby-after-they-leave-now-lobbying
Trump also weakened Obama era lobbying rules about publicly disclosing waivers to the rules, which is how he managed to appoint 137 lobbyists to government positions

Almost every Trump "reform" is designed with a backdoor for his corporate swamp buddies. Like Bernie said, *"they write the rules!"*

Well it would not be possible because as soon as it’s banned, lawmakers will be bribed to unban it lol.
