The duality of the Lomo camera with the Contax flash
Perry brings good vibes! Loved his Walker talkie 🙌
Paulie and Andrew, I had a great time hanging out with both of you for those five days at the fair. Great job, boys!
🤜❤️🤛
Sucks that Andrew got kicked out a few times - I shoot rodeo often and depending on the organizer/association they can be very strict about who goes where.
Protip - if you attend a rodeo again, wear full western gear. Cowboy hat, boots, jeans, tucked in long sleeve button up shirt. That plus a camera, nobody will ever give you shit. In my experience as long as it’s not a PCA rodeo you’ll be fine.
I almost never have credentials, but as long as I’m wearing proper attire they don’t question my presence.
Now I want to see Paulie in full cowboy attire
Texas is a fun place to make art.
Glad you were able to visit and take in the ridiculousness that is our fair!
Andrew with allergies made my eyes water. That feeling is too familiar haha
Great to have you in my hometown, sorry about the bureaucrats and pseudo-cops who take what little power they're given and let it go to their head. Great episode, almost made me want to go to the fair....ALMOST! 😂
Was having a crappy day at work, then a Paulie B street photography appeared. I am better now.🎉
i was about to sleep but saw the notif and now i'm awake thanks paulie for another upload
Needed this 👏
Ive been seeing Andrew in more and more episodes….. I wonder when his walkie talkie episode is coming out
THERES A SNAKE IN MAH BOOT
Great photos in this video, good job 👏
Great video, Paulie!
LETS GOOOO!
When will there be an andrwsnapd Walkie Talkie? I want to see the most sarcastic yet truthful Walkie Talkie
First! Saw that Paulie B posted 42 seconds ago lol
Sorry, I get that the VIP section is off limits. If it's the rules and those who are there expect that, I think this should be respected.
This episode showed the duality of man
I thought I was having a Deja Vous
Winogrand set the bar high!
How do you get access do this? I am trying to do this where I am at!
🔥
🪄✨️✨️✨️🧡Texas was stiff🧡✨️✨️✨️
The noise cancellation in the DJI Mic 2 is really bad... you should leave it turned off
Repeatedly crossing boundaries they've set at events like these just makes them more defensive towards us photographers that live here. I completely understand the impulse to push against rules that feel arbitrary and against people who truly don't know why the line in the sand was drawn, but it does harm the community writ large. Access is always given, not taken. Great video and solid work otherwise
Are you suggesting that by me having a full access photo pass, while not being told that we were prohibited from accessing areas that should be media friendly, that I’m harming the photographers of Dallas Texas’ ability to what… try to photograph areas of the fair that they had no knowledge of being off limits? I would argue that by not questioning authority, especially when no reasons are being given via a civil conversation, it gives security all the more power to shut down photographers with proper credentials l, and with no explanation. This is happening more and more with photojournalists being arrested, physically abused, etc. I never “took” access, we were given access and then told “actually no, not here, even though security let you in”. This is a silly thing to get into over RUclips comments because it’s so situational, and I would hope most people would stand up for themselves and try to understand why a simple VIP area for viewing a rodeo is “absolutely off limits”.
@@Andrwshoots I think you're well within your right to question the first time, but to me the difference is when you go back the second day and get heated when you're recognized and kicked out sooner. I really wasn't intending on starting an argument in the comment section, just sharing my perspective as someone who lives here. Photography would be rather boring if we all shared the same perspective :)
again though, getting heated for not being told why - and this time at a totally different area than the day prior that was also not specified to us as off limits. Paul and I were there with no issues the first time, they were just curious about what we were shooting for and let us continue. Then when I went back on my own, that’s when they threatened to kick me out of the fair. It was a totally different vibe than when we were there a couple hours earlier. The rules were conditional on their end and inconsistent, which is frustrating when you’ve specifically flown to a city to make photographs, with a media pass.
33:30 the boy tried to Karen his way into a section. Isn't a part of street photography is understanding the basic idea of consent, and no asking why. His perceived privilege to any space is kind of annoying. Good video despite his rants
Yo Al. Upon re-watching this, yes I totally Karen’d and will take the L on that, especially since I’m impersonating the person who kicked me out, who was an actual Karen. What you’re not seeing though is the other 23 hours and 54 minutes of my day when I’m not using any type of privilege or challenging consent issues while photographing. This was a rare case of me having a media pass, with ability to shoot everywhere else in the fair besides the VIP area and the backstage of the Rodeo. First time I got removed I didn’t argue with her at all - I was confused because Paul and I were told that we had access. ANYWAY, I don’t need to explain myself to a stranger on RUclips but I respect my photography ethics too much to let the consensus be that I have privilege of any kind. I’m just pushing back against people who are being unnecessarily forceful/rude while I’m just calmly asking why I can’t be there lol
@likeitsyojab Watching this was enjoyable and frustrating.
What was the point of applying and receiving Media Passes. Once they see the pass, there shouldn't be any issues forreal.
I'm sorry that happened to you. But the images y'all did manage to get were absolutely amazing! The one time my family and I opted out, we should've went.
@@K.EliseJones-bt6qyfor real. If I didn’t have a pass and I was knowingly trespassing - no issue whatsoever with authority being forceful and rude. The level of power tripping at this event was unlike any event I’ve ever been to, and all I wanted to do was take photos of cowboys 😂
