Ah ok awesome :) I'm hoping to get a t5 of some sort, however im in the UK and to be able to insure my s40 2.0d was near impossible :( Was 17 (now 18) and on 2nd year of insurance its 1/3 the price and I dont have an insurance box tracking the mileage :)
The car did in deed backfire slightly on some gearchanges. Car was completely stock, execpt open filter and backbox delete. I don't own the car anymore, but it was MOT'd March 2020, with 292.000 kms om the dials - very reliable cars these Volvo P2s!!

Yes. I fabricated it myself from stainless steel. Material cost around 50$ Recently sold it on for around 80$, as I sold the car many years ago, and it didn't fit on my next car (S60R)

You will have to spend money on repairs. Many parts last long time, while other parts need replaced. It's costly to repair, unless you do your own repairs and buy quality parts online. You can certainly buy a lemon, if the car was not repaired as it should.
@@MoraisGT Yes, that is correct. Along with slightly earlier boost. Hmmm, T5 would outrun pretty much any Saab, but 2.0t Saab would be a close match to 2.5T Volvo..... Assuming: A) Saab gets to the starting line without breaking down B) Saab doesn't run out of the gas in the first 100 meters.
Great automobile, a beast, the best car I've owned, Volvo for life.
That wheelhop or whatever on launch tho ;)
BarbecuedPossum this issue has completely vanished after installing uprated engine mounts 😉

T5 is a beast!
Agreed! A true classic

Sounds and goes great! 0:18 was that a backfire and if so does it do that standard? 👍
