Have the Giants been the soundtrack to my childhood this ENTIRE TIME and I just didn't realize it until NOW?!?!?!?!?! Seriously, from Homestar Runner to Courage the Cowardly Dog to random music videos I found on the internet, it is SCARY how many of these songs I've had playing in the back of my head for years and didn't find out until later that they were all done by the same band!
The masterpiece, Please Pass The Milk Please, is quite possibly the best song ever created. First of all, the lyrics are masterful. The lyrics are up to lots of interpretations, one being that "it's a song to be played during milk consumption" and the lyrics support that. Yet, I can't help but think that it's actually a song to be played while passing the milk. I know, controversial, but it makes more sense than having a "milk consumption" message. Second, it might have the best TMBG bass line. Spy? Naw. Santa's Beard? Naw. It's always going to be PPTMP. The song has an amazing message, and that you should pass the milk when in times in need. The song changed my life, as it helped me pass the milk like a normal person. Thank you.
This medley of non sequiturs is one of my favorite musical creations of all time. Been loving it since 1999 (my freshman year in college). Just finding this live version for the first time. Sensory overload- I love it!
I always interpreted “what’s that blue thing doing here?” as the female body part asking this to the male body part, which is wearing a blue condom. Is that the general consensus ?
Every section brings vivid tapestries to my mind. Seems to me most like a bunch of things they heard, said and thought while living and bringing kids into the world, although a myriad other images also come to mind.
They need a female singer to tour with them. It would really help those "hey now everybody" and "please pass the milk, please" parts; and "Cyclops Rock" wouldn't be the same without a girl shouting about a van outside of New York.
top 4 favorites: 1. I'm Havin' a Heart Attack 3:18 2. Mysterious Whisper 2:38 3. I Walk Along Darkened Corridors 3:48 4. Come on and Wreck(?) my Car 0:57
imagine the effort it took to memorize the order of the songs, AND the effort it took to play them all correctly in that order, *AND* the effort it took to change the lights every time to fit the minisong
"I walk alone, darkened corridors." This is Exactly my life for a year in the Covid outbreak at the University I work at .. walking through empty darkened buildings full of computers people are accessing from home .. the network and hard disc lights showing that someone is using that computer .. and me trying to work out why they can't connect to it .....
Update: As of 2 months ago, only "I'm Having A Heart Attack," "Fingertips (Reprise)," and "I Walk Alone in Darkened Corridors" left. HOPEFULLY he'll get those done soon.
@efil4own1 ..when i was 5 years old first listening to this album that was the first thing i thought of...the end of this tune is the frog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the album version in particular is kermit all over
“It’s not just one walks along darkened corridors, it’s that along the hierarchy of corridors, one’s finds a necessity to clean one’s room”.

Most of my younger friends have the same relationship with the band, only knowing them through memetastic means :P~
I **LOVE*** it when the tall guy with long hair in the lower right, starts rocking out to "Darkened Corridors" at 4:27.
I love their trend of going full rock anthem with "I walk along darkened corridors.", caught it live last year on their Aussie tour, TMBG rule. :D
The best thing about this is imagining the reactions of people who don't know what this is.
You know you've been listening to "The Spine" too much when you think Damn Good Times is about to start whenever you hear applause.

3:19 - 3:42 is one of the greatest works of art in the entire history of Western Civilization.
I was a teenager with a fake ID at the Bowery Ballroom the first time they ever played this live. I became a fan that night. Had such a great time.
Glorious! Oddly enough this is one of my favorite TMBG songs.
punkrocumentary I like it too.

THAT is a crescendo. I love this song live.
Each and every one of these could be amazing songs unto themselves! 👏👏👏
damn...fingertips LIVE?????
The poor lighting guy
Hey guys let's make a song that nobody understands and let's jumble it together and make a musical.
Yeah lol, just like abbey road medley back in '69
It's even better when you know that on the album, all of the different sections of the song are listed as separate songs.
Zackly.
I don't know about you, but I understand it.
Every section brings vivid tapestries to my mind. Seems to me most like a bunch of things they heard, said and thought while living and bringing kids into the world, although a myriad other images also come to mind.
It's crazy that I could sing along to all of these. So awesome they did this live. Apollo 18 was such a great album
I love this so much! I want to see them live!

they could get Robin Goldwasser to do those parts
I used the "leave me alone"-part as a ringtone for a while :)
Im proud of how much i remember
I remembered almost every word this time lol
That's how we know you're a true particle amongst men.
You two are so amazing! I've been a fan since 1989. My son since around 1993. He was born in 88!
3:19-3:41 is the most agricultural ever
Light engineer, the genius of the dark...

Dan Miller was a hell of a discovery.

This is the most epic song ever
I had the pleasure of hearing this in 2023 in Houston, TX .
Such an incredible song. Maybe their most creative
AlbinoBlackSheep's animation was something else. Finally see it played at least 15 years later!
this is so fucking amazing, I could die.
of a Heart Attack
Since my boomer mom forced 50-60’s oldies on us, I really live the “come on and wreck my car” beach boys vibe..
Still waiting for SwankyBadgerFilms to make the last couple of SFM films for "Mysterious Whisper" onwards.
Update: As of 2 months ago, only "I'm Having A Heart Attack," "Fingertips (Reprise)," and "I Walk Alone in Darkened Corridors" left. HOPEFULLY he'll get those done soon.
1:17 Please Pass The Milk, Please
What's that blue thing doing here?
Made for the shuffle button on the CD player.
@Mike S Times have changed!
I'm having a heart attack :D
Not so amusing if you've had a heart attack.
♥♥♥
wow
That's so cool
My confusion is immeasurable
0:57 & 1:52 are the reason why I’m real so no questions
3:28
they're actually very talented to be able to switch between songs this quickly and still sound like the album version.
3:19 Nice
Those darkened corridors aren't very dark
What's that blue thing doing here? Is it the TARDIS?
How am I just now hearing that this is just one song
