    I was a DD guy, 2 Large cups/day = $6.00 +... I had my ninja maker in a box for quite a while.. but one day I decided to try it out and well the coffee is simply put delicious and I have had no desire to buy coffee outside anymore. Not to mention I can add cinnamon and/or nutmeg any time I want a little extra flavor.

    As usual, I'm late to the table. I bought one of these about five or six years ago, The carafe was already broken. So, I got a great deal. Then, I set it aside and forgot about it. Today, I thought I would take it out and make a cup of coffee, but I didn't know how. Luckily, I found this video. Those were great instructions. Thank you.

    When you froth the milk, use a taller glass.
    Love your video. I’ve been on the fence about purchasing one, but after watching, I went ahead and ordered it. I might be able to help with the dripping from the frothed thingy, though (I used to work in a bar that used a milkshake mixer to mix drinks. It worked well but made a gross, sticky, drippy mess!)
    When the frothing is done, hold the glass lower and spin the frothing thingy. It should get the drippy stuff off so you can have time to put something below it before more starts to drip off.

    I watched your video in the past and today once again because I was blessed with this exact one and @ first I had to give it a cleaning as well as get familiar with. And this morning I wanted to make sure if I was correctly doing as I had forgotten how you showed me. And yes i was only I had forgotten the couple of features it has. Your video was very very helpful , keep up the great job. And I love it as well. Cleaning it was a breeze as mine was not clean but practically new needing a good cleaning which I hear the more often you use it’s advisable to do every other month.

    Former high end coffee shop gm here. You need to buy some cafiza (search on amazon/eBay) to clean that gold filter and your carafe. Boiling water and a bit of cafiza in the carafe, dunk in the filter and give a quick scrub-sponge wipe. Rinse thoroughly after. Believe me, it makes all the difference in the world.

    it's called "bloom"

    Great video! I own the same machine and I use it daily I love it so much. I’m going to make myself a cup of coffee now :)
    For a delicious strong coffee I use Starbucks blonde espresso coffee beans that they are able to grind for you at NO cost to grind the beans (spent $12)
    Brew a cup
    Use frother for heavy whipping cream
    Add sugar free vanilla syrup
    1 stevia
    You’re welcome!
    Btw ... this coffee is a keto recipe too

    I wanted to know what the temperature was of the water being distributed into the basket. So I dug out my thermocouple and hooked it up and tested the thing. The dispensed water is held 90% of its time between 195 and 205 degrees. This is what the coffee experts always claim is ideal. I do know from experience this is rarely this case when it comes to most coffee pots . And why many coffee pots taste pretty bad. Always knew it made really good hot coffee.

    Thanks! Great video! I'm looking at this thing right now. I use a hario pour over method right now with some seriously good beans but I need a way to make more than a cup at the time. BTW....The reason it pauses is to let the water absorb into the grounds. If you let it sit (I actually stir the initial pour of water on my hario to help it mix thoroughly) you will wind up with dry areas where the water never gets into the grounds and they are wasted.

    Since I am visually impaired, I don’t really like the new model of the ninja coffee bar. I had a chance to touch one last year in Walmart on the display. I like the older model because it stops when I turn the dial. The dial on the new machine goes around and around where it doesn’t stop like the first model when it came out. So when I buy the coffee bar, I’m getting the first model that came along. But, I will say that the buttons is very easy for me to work with from the classic brew all the way down to the specialty brew. Thanks for this video.

    • @DomChrisOwens
      @DomChrisOwens 5 лет назад

      I can understand you troubles with the dial.
      The new machine only had 5 or 6 different types or coffee sizes.
      If you spin the dial enough you are sure to get to the end of that list.
      The dial doesnt get to the end of the list and then start over, the selection will stay on the las size option no matter how many times you turn it.

    The pause in the brewing is because it's letting the coffee grinds bloom. Basically it lets the grinds soak up the water and then gives it a chance to release the carbon dioxide that is expelled when it first comes in contact with hot water. That's the main trick to getting coffee to taste smoother and why a french press usually makes good coffee if used correctly.

      @@Fantabulosity I agree about K-Cups. I got a Cuisinart DCC-2650P1 coffee maker for my birthday I really liked, but it started acting up a month after I got it. The clean light came on so I cleaned it. Then it took 20 minutes to brew 6 cups, and all I got was 4 cups of coffee. I unplugged it for 30 minutes to reset it. Brewed another pot and the cleaning light came on. It's still under warranty so Cuisinart was supposed to send me a new one. That was ten days ago. Still waiting on another one. Hope it's better. Enjoy your day. Thanks.

      Ours is two years old and still works great. The only weak point is the lever that you slide left and right for the drip stop feature. Just don’t use too much force

      yep... i bought one in July 2020 and in November it stopped making coffee...took 45 minutes to make coffee and did not do a pot. When i tried to invoke the warranty, they told me I have to cover the cost of shipping...which is baloney. They troubled me with over an hour of on the phone problem solving before all of this then told me, i had to pay more to get a replacement. I told them forget it. it's all Chinese stuff and the chips are not made well... you're right, time... don't expect a 30 year coffee pot...this is months before the chip fails...China's many underhanded offerings.

    I hope that I haven't missed this question in this thread. Can you tell me if the machine would hold enough for 2 or 3 cups without using the caraf? I want avoid using a carafe (the majority of the time anyway). I was going to purchase the Cuisinart coffee on demand for the 2nd time because it holds 10 cups until I want a cup. That model does have some issues though.

    • @Fantabulosity
      @Fantabulosity  4 года назад

      Hi Zia! I'm not 100% if this would work but I do know it has a "drip stop" so if you made a "big" cup, it makes me wonder if it would make enough for a couple of cups, and you could just use the drip-stop when the cup fills up??? So I'm not much help... because I don't know if that's even good for the machine but it was the only thing I could think of! I've never heard of that capability but that's pretty neat!

But I'm still using this one, every single day and still love it. I could only bring a few things with me in a recent move across country and I made SURE to make room for this. Haha. I hope that helps. But the exact model I have is this one: amzn.to/3mQn9UA and this particular listing looks like it's a "renewed" which means "refurbished". But that may be all that's left these days with this exact model! I hope that helps!
