    I love how classy the rear looks. I can't get enough of it. I know it's a modern luxury sedan, but the rear design blends tradition with the future with the shape of the rear and the LEDs.

    The instrument cluster looks very, very similar to a VW and the aluminum shifter cover looks like it came from an Audi, but then again Bentley is part of the VW-Audi family

    I was kinda expecting more. Like crazy maps, awesome self driving options, more camera view, self parking, cooling and heating cup holder. I expected high class luxury. This feels like one for the "poorer" rich folks. You know the type of rich people that have to buy this on credit.

    Mulsane, 62 maybach ( at the time in 2011) and a phantom . Those would be the best 3 for ride and luxury at the time .this would be top ten for sure.. like he said at the end , he got a better ride out of a garden variety lexus ls. Love this Bentley 😃

    This guy is an average guy, who jumps out from reviewing a Toyota Corolla, pulls on hes new jacket and then steps into a Bentley. It is a car not to be reviewed like a Toyota or Subaru. It is a masterpiece for those who can appreciate it.

    How can you say it doesn't share any parts.....the chassis of the Phantom is welded at a place called the BMW Centre for Aluminum Competence, and the underpinning was loosely based on the 7 series. While I agree that Rolls-Royce is it's own car, a Roller is as much as BMW as a Bentley is a VW. If there wasn't any carry over between the cars, they wouldn't be able to get sufficient margins to put back into engineering better cars

  • @rob11s
    @rob11s 11 лет назад

    You just don't get it man. Rolls Royce is in a league of it's own. And again, it doesn't share any parts with any BMW cars on the road. It's all hand made. You should know that. Bentley, on the other hand, uses basically the same gear lever casing that VW group used to put in Passats back in '96 I believe (feel free to correct me on that one).

    The Bentley Flying Spur is an excellent ultra luxury exotic car, but the S65 AMG will be a much better daily driver and be easier to maintain than the Bentley.

    • @bighands69
      @bighands69 8 лет назад

      +marc1093280
      It depends on where you live. If you live in the country side then the Bentley will be an excellent drive. It may be too difficult in some poky town.

  • @Tednessful
    @Tednessful 11 лет назад +1

    It's a cool car overall but as much as the rear is awesomelly crafted you can't help to feel something's wrong with the side view because of that short hood/front wheel drive stance (thanks to VW's FWD Phaeton structure). New S65 AMG is a better car in every way, including its elegant RWD looks.

    • @bighands69
      @bighands69 9 лет назад +2

      Ted McScorcher Bentley is a car to be driven. Poor people from the outside looking in are not a care in the world for the owner.

  • @rob11s

    Not even close. Smart and S-Class don't share ANY parts, while Bentleys have a lot of parts in them that are taken directly from Volkswagen cars.

    These cars are (for me) a tale of two halves. Looks wise from the front, stunning. From the rear, pug-ugly. Nonetheless, once you're inside, you really couldn't care less as these cars are like nothing else you've ever driven, or been a passenger in. Turbine smooth, obscenely quick, and sumptuously luxurious. Incredibly expensive yes, but an incredible car.

    $200 iphones? Where? You are paying [in installments] full price and then some with every monthly payment to any cell phone provider out there. A minimum installment of $25 per month times 24 months comes out to $800 for your $200 cell phone which retails at 750. It's as overpriced as cable.

    • @supbrotv
      @supbrotv 10 лет назад +23

      Nowadays anyone can own a mercedes thanks to the c and e class, if you own an s class people are not going to notice that you own a way more expensve car, but no matter how cheap and old your bentley is its still going to turn heads.

    • @vitalykutuzov3331
      @vitalykutuzov3331 10 лет назад +4

      The thing is, that you'd be able to drive the Bentley even without your chaffeur, while an S Class is much, much less interesting. Even boring, to be honest.

    • @bighands69
      @bighands69 9 лет назад +1

      www9311 The S class is one of the best cars in its class and is an amazing drive.
      But it is not as refined as a Bentley over all.

    • @vitalykutuzov3331
      @vitalykutuzov3331 9 лет назад +2

      bighands69 You got it the wrong way round. The Bentley is a lot better to drive, but lacks the new S Class's refinement.

    Plastic shifters, no automatic headlights, fake analog electric switches, plastic looking LCD bezels, possibly deadly gas emissions? No active suspension like Mercedes? No automated driving? How is this worth $100k, let alone $200k? Because it's a Volkswagen? Oh sorry, "Bentley". Well, at least the buyers will get to enjoy tremendous depreciation that comes standard, unlike the back up cameras. Obviously when you run over people in this car, you're supposed to just pay them off, too!
