Just seeing this makes me greatly appreciate that I completed the trail on my first try with randoms. Sometimes you hit the lottery jackpot and the other 99.9% you get terrible randoms and quitters. This is a hard trail no doubt about it
I agree though! Sometimes you definitely get some great randoms! It's crazy! Glad one of us finished it! haha
For me it’s not rly terrible players, but ones who just don’t pay attention
I did it first try aswell not flexing I had lots of backup like all my ransoms were ronins so😅
Randoms
Yeah, I’ve been complaining about the unrealistic lunge mechanics since release. Also the pikeman who automatically track you mid dodge roll when they’re doing their little vertical spin attack. You see them twist mid swing and it’s so damn annoying.
I'm actually OK with the lunge, but those attacks where they change direction mid swing. That's some bull-shxt. Sucker Punch should really fix that or at least dial down how much the change of direction is....
It isn’t that bad you just gotta be aware and be ready to parry
I feel the pain!! Easily the hardest trial! Took me 3 days! 3 days! Then you get the team and it’s done in 5 mins. Worst. Trial. EVER!

So I know this won't get seen but please like this to get it higher in the comments so more people can finish this trial.
-Stay together as a team
-start in bottom right (first right inside the area) clear the ghosts move to top right second clear the ghosts top left then bottom left (6 ghosts per area)
-start top left ascension first (no dodge) run up the stairs to the left of alter and wait for spawns there as a team to finish ascension quickly (everyone that hasn't ascended focus shamon and getting other enemies 1 shot)
All 3 others start ascensions 1 at a time meet back at top left corner to finish all ascensions
1 brute
2 archers
3 dual swordmen
1 shamon
This is the easiest out of the 4 groups to quickly kill.
With 73 completions this week I hope this helps others out!
I used my perfect parry samurai build with wrath of Sarugami as my katana. It was fairly simple being able to parry everything while healing at the same time

I have to agree with EhpicPlays on "The Trials of Iyo". It does change every week, but when it's Kami Ridge, the guys that really mess you up are the onryō (the invisible guys) and the purple Mongols from the Eagle Tribe of the Iki Island DLC. I've seen a lot of people rage quit the instant they go down when doing these trials.
This one was a painful one to do especially with randoms. I kept coming across one Ghost player every time I replayed, and he had been doing the Trials for at least 2 hours. 😞😞
Well now I don’t feel as bad about failing repeatedly with randoms. Lol

I made this Kami Ridge Trial for the first time today and of course with randoms😅it was so hard, but in the end I found randoms who knows what to do😂😂so I totally understand how you felt

HAHAHAHA... BROOOOOOOO!!! I'm actually crying. Ehpic keepin' things real - fo' realz....This week's trial is seriously insane. I solo queued for an hour before I finished it. It was a FULL SEND Ragefest. My only advice is do your ascension trial FIRST and then go and help your team. Assassin is good actually, they can do pretty much any trial. Just try and wait for a Spawn, bomb the shxt out of them, Ult, and that's about it. ... and that Bot fighting on the bridge. LOLOL

Bro I was random queuing on the trials of Iyo for this week and I swear I maybe did the mission like over 50 times and finally got it complete the worst part about it is like I was trying to wait to make sure my other companions got their trials done by lowering the enemy's health and going after the shaman's first whenever they spawned and I kid you not it took over 50 tries like I said just a completed doing that I would always wait until everybody got theirs done and I just take the last one and try my best to complete it even if it was no melee and I'm a assassin.

I did this as a Samurai (no cheese) , Me, Ronin and two Assassins. I went top ridge and got the NO MELEE ATTACKS curse. I completed it with Suragamis bow (triple head shot) Mist of yagata and sticky bomb into Hachiman Fury. Easiest time ive completed it, no cap.
noted so in nightmare we get hit more even if we dodge. I HATE that lol.

Worst thing is trying to find people who know how to jump on chapter 2
Had a guy quit after all ascensions were done but he died. All we had to do was revive him & run to the bell. 😒
Im not high enough ki level to try it but i didnt think it was gonna have matchmaking i thought it was gonna be like the chapter raids 1 -3 cause they dont have any matchmaking least u gave it the all American try lol
I completed 1 and 2 and if took us 1hr 30 mins to do chapter 2 and there was so many funny moments with my friends me and the platforms

It's possible with randoms....its not easy but possible...what I always did with assassin was smoke pick up ascension usually went no dodge assassinate as many as possible black powder bombs sport kuni ult..rinse and repeat..

I spent two and a half hours on this but was at least able to get through it with randoms.
This is not for solo que. At all. I did it. Had to have 3 others. Took about 10 attempts. And on the last attempt before giving up took 12 mins.... Not worth it at all. Can't farm this one.
This trial is unreal with randoms... Easily the worst one.
Tried this first time today. It took 1h38m and i hated every second of it. At least chad teammates wasn't quitters.

I actually really like this one because it's not easy. People quitting is the only part that is annoying. It would be great if you could do multiple ascensions by yourself.
I agree I like a challenge. Nightmare survival and story mode isn’t that hard. We need a new difficulty for survival at least or more enemies.
You can hold multiple ascensions. I managed to hold the ranged and melee ascension. Couldn't attack at all but I held both. It is possible

This week's trials sucked so much! Don't know how many times I was running to help someone just to run straight into a spirit I didn't see and it proceed to one hit me. Also it wold be that bad if it weren't for those damn Shamans!

Lmao dude, you picked the worst one to try first...Kami Ridge is ass garbage supreme, damn near impossible with randoms. I have yet to complete it. First time they ran Kami Ridge on Trials, I tried 30 times and every fucking time, randoms would quit. I did warn you not to in the same video the guy said to try it. This is by far the worst Trials of Iyo, good news is, most of the Trials of Iyo missions are fun, especially with the Assassin. You really should give it a shot again. Rewards are awesome as well, especially if you're grinding for Legendary gear or Honor.
