I've seen MAT HOFFMAN in the 80's in Bercy sport palace / France.. It was the first 540° on a quarter pipe i've seen too.. A brand new door was opened that day.. Welcome to the next level ! This kind of guys make the History..
I just got the condors autograph last summer and I cherish it. Everything the man said is proven by him! Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do something! Matt built his own bike company and started businesses and won championships all over the globe. Hard work in human form! We salute you Mr.hoffman! Your a pioneer and a legend and it's been a honor to grow up watching your career.
It's amazing... I'm the same age as Mat and I was also BMX freestyling and ramp riding all throughout the '80s (still do today !) and I'll never forget when I was 16, reading about this 16 year old that was pulling HUGE air and tricks that the Pros of the time weren't even capable of.... He was a true phenomena to us riders back then... like a God of sorts even... So inspiring ! And here I sit today at 50 years old and Mat has been 'with' me for 34 years... and he's still amazing me.... TRUE LEGEND !!
Sorry bud, those are not flatland. The knee saver design came to have more clearance when twisting the bike on airs like look-backs, look-downs (how they were called). Then for flatland, the angles were redesigned, sometimes not too much back sweep, etc. But Hoffman's bars are based on the original 4 piece knee-savers with dimensions for ramp riding. But yes, cool that he still uses those, bringing the classic freestyle look from back then.
@@XGames I’m 33, I still cruse street bmx hit a few spots for fun road park heavy as a kid, but man I will never forget having to track Eurosport channel daily in the summer waiting to see this cult hero ride, pre you tube and before I could earn to buy tapes! If you got to see even a highlight of this don you felt BLESSED 🙏 now chilling stiching the ride mag stories and props to build a big air picture of Hoffman the king of bmx
Wow. You gotta be kidding. Hoffman was setting records back when I was a kid, and still today. True legend.
he invented half the tricks in the book... if not more.

They need to rig up some kind of airbag suit that they can activate if they know they're going to bail.
@@ScoobyDooby530 I don't think so.
That’s a legit tuff mickler
Danny Way "I wanna build a custom giant ramp to beat my own record" .... most people: "groceries are way too expensive"
King hoffman
Matt and Serj Tankian are twins oh my...
Getting a strong Zappa vibe. Both innovators, both originals, both entirely totally badass.
Mad respect to the condor
I started riding again in my 40's. Im not in it to impress anyone but myself at this point
I had no idea that Danny's WR attempt was it 2015 - I assumed this was recent content :D
I am 43! I just want to build a dirt jump over the creek in my pasture! Then I might be happy!
43: the magic number!
AIR MASTER HOFFMAN.
okay this is badass … this is almost motivation ….
One of the greatest to do it... But you always get one hater who clicks the thumbs down button
fuking legend love u matt
🤙🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤙
Didn’t bob b. Build this ramp to break his own record?
Let The Rad Days Roll On...
kill bill pai mei ?¿ xD
I expected a good story, then you mentioned that he broke his collarbone :(
have you ever finished anything?
A broken collarbone for Mat Hoffman is like the rest of us breaking a fingernail.
Never forget that Danny killed a man with a brain injury for looking at him...
Fisirst
Mat has more guts than brains. One of these days, he's going to end up on the 6 o'clock news for all the wrong reasons.
