Back in the late 90's 2000 I was trying to put together my own ramps and rails. Hell I've watched redbull backyard build off 100 times😂 this dude gave me confidence to build what I loved. Now I own a stainless steel fabrication business 20years later.

I was born in ‘80. I started bmx/ freestyle by 6 years old. I worshiped Mat , Dave Mirra, Jay Mirron etc. They were actually not bad role models and I can still rip on anything from dirt bikes to horses.

I rode, and snowboarded with Nate in the early 90’s. He’s always had an eye for building these gnarly jumps, whether it was dirt, or snow he was always building. Loading up 6-7 bikes in his trunk and driving out to the Super Shops. A bunch of crazy ass young men. RIP Mikey Barry.

Nate Wessel was one of those dudes I couldnt help but idolize as a child. I learned to fabricate, I learned to make ramps, and I took that "JUST FKN SEND IT" mindset to heart.
This is a dude who was so inspirational to me, I even named my first born child (Nathaniel) after the legend himself. 31 years old now, and I still get a rush when It comes to BMX

Still remember seeing the photo sequence of the gap he jumped from shed roof to shed roof in ride bmx mag back in like 2001/2002. That really blew my mind. It was a big sketchy gap that was going to be an ambulance or helicopter ride if he didn't land it. He had to haul ass across a parking lot and used the ground level angled roof on the first shed as a launch ramp to jump to the second angled roof with at least 20ft or more between them not knowing how the roof would throw him. True badass
