Why are these wings shaped so strange?

Why does the Corsair look so funky? Turns out that the reason comes from here in Seattle!

The wings also meet the fuselage at a 90 degree angle witch reduces drag.

The wings look more elegant then the Ju 87's. I suppose those were that shape to make space for a larger bomb underneath the fuselage...

I knew the answer as to why the wings were this shape. Its the only things i know about WW2 US aircraft. My loss definitely.
