John is a perfect fit. His style is just awesome. Ole Bob sounded great. It will be a shame to see these guys retire. These guys are legendary!!!!!!!! They will be missed!!!!!
This is perhaps the best version of this song I've ever heard and the lyrics have only grown in power and pertinence over the years! Thank you John Mayer for making this happen!!
I was at this show...this band is such a class act. Less than 2 wks after a mass shooting, The boys were able to play tribute to those who were effected without uttering a single word about it. They responded with music🎶🎶🎶 The encore brought tears to my eyes that very special evening❤️ They made everything ok for a few short hours. Thank you Dead & Co.
This show was 12 days after the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School (MSD). As a Parkland resident whose daughter was a student at the school, I was thankful to be able to attend with several other students and parents. The meeting with the band during the break was special and I will always cherish. The set list was so appropriate for the evening. As a long time Dead Head whose first show was in 1977, it was just what the doctor ordered. Thanks again to Dead & Company for a truly memorable evening!
I remember I stood in a frozen position, as the students who attended this walked directly passed me, I was the devil in the blue dress. I didn't know how to react, and than this happen, sofa king powerful. "By and by again, the morning sun will rise again"
John's solo in this one is incredible. The true guitar masters can make a guitar speak, and his solo here is almost like a choir for the kids. You can really feel how much heart and emotion was being poured out by John and the whole band. BTW, I always love Bill's little grins when one of the guys are really on a tear, and you could see his emotion here too.
Couldn't help but comment... partly because if the "k" in Erik... but gotta check out West End Blends version of this from the Relix channel when the did a 50th anniversary "songs of their own" tribute. It's wonderful
I was sick as a child plus I was deaf with puss & blood coming out of my ears so I was very close to dieing but saw my guiding angels @ the foot of my bed waiting to c if I was going to die or not but obviously I’m here & can hear perfect by the time I turned 6 I was good !
We drove straight from NOLA to this show then Orlando to close out the tour. Highlight of the show for me but the NOLA show was the best of the tour IMO.
This took place in sunrise fla about a week after the florida school shootings.the boys met with a bunch of the survivors during intermission and the shirts said msdstrong
I never understood what's with the very happy progression at the end, as this song is so satirical, cuz it has such corny cadences that are just too satisfying. Now I do, it's a mockery.
leave the politics out of the rock and roll. you just give a platform for the agenda to chugg even further down the crooked rail. dont be like neil young, all protest and no hat

I really like Trey as a Phil in, but who’s the guy from dark star who did it for awhile
This is perhaps the best version of this song I've ever heard and the lyrics have only grown in power and pertinence over the years! Thank you John Mayer for making this happen!!
Thank you mr. John!
there are a few songs that dead and co does better than the Dead in my humble opinion - this is one of them
Yes, John Mayers playing is my fav part of this band. He's exceptional guitarist.
I heard that Queen Elizabeth has moved out of Buckingham Palace!....yeah.. she moved in with John Mayer!!🤣😂🤣
How do you like it now that we are getting ready to be nuked?? I love the Grateful Dead but now Bobby is in the Bohemian club. What happened?
I don't know if I've ever heard Bobby sing with so much emotion. Those kids had an impact on him and the whole band. This was amazing.
Kids can do amazing things. If just given the chance. Their the pureest blessings come down from heaven and the grace of the Father Most Highest.
Here June 13, 2020. Now more than ever. This this THIS.

I was there too. Once they started playing touch of grey the tears started flowing

@@cynlcole4649 I'm sitting here crying my eyes out listening watching this.
This is the best version Bobby has ever sang. Period.
your damn right, this was a special, special moment
he does sound like himself from 1989, turning back the clock
absofuckinlutely, I was front center pit, I could not contain myself.
Absolutely incredible much love from New Hampshire!
Hands down best version of this song I've ever heard!!! Outstanding!

parkland was a false flag with more than one shooter. just listen to the teacher interview. BUY GUNS! USA! JERRY GARCIA OWNED AN AK-47!
Glad some good came out of such a terrible tragedy. Music is the Fruit of Life.

that sounds awesome but you'll never take our guns. sorry. :/
This one makes me cry every time! Thanks Bob!
The version from the Sphere is epic.
This has always been one of the best Dead songs to me.

Mindblowing melodicism
Peace, happiness and love to y'all ❤️🌹
Wow! This is my current favourite Dead-tune. On repeat on youtube and spotify 🎶🎵☮️🐢

@@erikhoffman2866 I will, thanks for the suggestion and Merry Christmas Erik! I saw your response on december 23rd!
John Mayer was such a great addition!! RIP Jerry!!
Excellent version. Much thanks
I enjoyed that
This was an amazing show.
Perfect today for sure!!! 2020
Nice job Roberto! 👏💐😎
Peace ... Love and Happiness ✌️❤️
Awesome set list, Bobby doing it all for the youth, every song about life, friends and only the way the Boys tell their story
Chaque fois que j'écoute ce morceau ❤❤❤
Merci bob, john 👍🙏🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🎩🎩🎩
I don't mention Jeff enough & he has been working with Bobby since Ratdog or before, what a great keyboard player, often gone unnoticed.
Jeff can do no wrong, I’d love for him to have played with Jerry
The unsung hero. Jeff is amazing, he's the glue that often holds it together. Just brilliant.
Jerry listens smiling
Ray Christensen lmao
Ray, WHY?
Bob killed it on this throwing stones!
Genius it’s all too clear. Nameless…timeless!!! Ad Infinitum!
Love it! Thanks for an awesome flashback. Jerry would be proud.
wish I would have went looked awesome a shout-out from Oakland Park
Excellent version of this tune & I think Jerry would continue to smile, seeing the guys still jamming & approve of John & Oteil.
So perfect
Never saw the Dead in matching outfits! LOL Whoa!
Awesome songs awesome skills awesome guys awesome band.
This never gets old and you know is listening somewhere
Get it Bobby, get it!!!!!!!!!
Everything about this was awesome
Its dizzying with possibilities
See you at the Shoreline and the Hollywood Bowl next week! I can hardly wait!
Was there and @ many other show ...best jam I've seen..... 5:30 on......
No more killing, food and water for everyone, the way the world is supposed to be, human family
I heard Bobby with Johnny K.."FURTHER" at red rocks last tour.Throwing Stones was exceptional too .U was in front row too .. BLESSINGS
Further was a much better band.
@ericwhyte9804 Further had the Phil zone. Both great bands.
Nice laid back tempo - great version.
I was at this one. Loved the shirts! Loved the show! Always love the bad!! Thanks for posting!
My favorite... love this version (~);}
Watching the band smile through this was almost better than the jam.
❤my only band they are epic deadlife
Dig the shirts. Wish they weren’t necessary. Msd ‘97

Peaceful place so it looks from space, closer look reveals the human race.
Maybe if everyone on the planet took LSD things would change
This is just pure magic
Wow!

holy shit
Nice ☮️
Love John Mayer & Dead & Co. 💙✨💀
Bottom line: STOP KILLING PEOPLE! Is it too much to ask to try to love your neighbors, your fellow human beings?
The Mayer of Guitar... and very, very moving. One of my favorites.
John is just too good man I swear....
8:18 bob says damn Boy
For Christmas I want world peace
it is such a shame you tube interrupts this beautiful song like 5 times. Awesome Version!!!!!
⚡️💀⚡️
Just listening to John Mayer play should be enough to motivate the hell out of you, to become a much better musician...!!!
Is Jeff playing brent’s organ?
yes. you can actually see the less-worn spots where Brent's stickers used to be.
8:21 Nice to know John is a human too!
Fr
Hah at least he said screw and smiled while doing it
Yikes. Yeah, quite a few flubs from 7:57 to what you caught. (Meanwhile, the cut to Oteil at 8:19 makes it look like he ISN'T human.)
@@xianshep XD Not wrong, and still, the Dead live on.
Awesome
There is no doubt, jerry is proud!
But nobody bothered to help me talk but for my cousin !
The Ian Murawski tour of our lives starts in about three weeks
✌️✌️✌️❤️🌹🎶🎶🎶✨✨✨🕊🕊🕊
Perkekt genau
Does anyone know where I can find this entire show on video? Nugs doesnt have it.
Hate that they’re done
How come Phil Lesh isn’t touring with them???
What's up with their shirts?
This took place in sunrise fla about a week after the florida school shootings.the boys met with a bunch of the survivors during intermission and the shirts said msdstrong
@@larrybarocas8950 ah, thank you. That makes this song even more powerful!
If you speed it up 20% it’s not half bad
Not bad... not bad at all.
8:18 WTF Oteil Burbridge!!!
I have to watch every single Dead and Co on 1.25x speed
Me too
Sounds like a 45 playing at 33.
Live through in real life what the words say and it will harden your ability to care.
the ad interruption is rude, I will never patronize their products
I never understood what's with the very happy progression at the end, as this song is so satirical, cuz it has such corny cadences that are just too satisfying. Now I do, it's a mockery.
To me it represents the hope that we on our own can make the changes and be the light we want to see, but that's what's beautiful about music
C DM's
Mayers jam thoooo
It's missing the essence
Such a slower tempo. Great version but speed that shit up!
Why does Mayer have to jump up and down like a circus clown?
Sounds like a mix of Althea and brown eyed women in some parts.
LEO IS A DOG
Just another year goes by with no Wisconsin or East Central Minnesota. Typical
leave the politics out of the rock and roll. you just give a platform for the agenda to chugg even further down the crooked rail. dont be like neil young, all protest and no hat
Same old endlessly rehashed crap. Vocals are horrible playing mediocre. Here's a idea, write a new song. Am glad I didn't waste my money
