Great to see Mad Ryu getting just the right amount of attention I feel he deserves. Everyone started dismissing him because he "falls off hard" which, while true, doesn't negate the fact that until those late 20s early 30s he still is solid. I agree 100%. My current team is M.Ryu based, and I'm still pushing content with him. Slowly building my fire team for when F.Blanka becomes available to me so I have another option if he does indeed fall off. Just upset I built Makoto to SSS First so she will probably be my F.Blanka Link.

Rerolled a new account and put my Viper to S (you can get a second copy in that puzzle minigame) and I beat up to 6-40 in 4 hours. She's good, but she's pretty squishy. I legit having M.Ryu PTSD using her lol.
I personally am not w fan of hers tbh BUT a little trick. If you need food for your units you can actually put a B unit in there and have a chance to pull them as an A
Wouldn't Makoto be good late game with her sss cars ability, specially considering that both Cammys are so strong? The extra dmg for female fighters seems to be really strong
haven't tested that possibility! Perhaps but I was speaking relating to her survivability compared to other tanks cause you fight teams 5-10xs your power and she gets dropped quick!
I'll put a video together for her soon (maybe tomorrow tbh). She is a great assist unit and main unit for off heals/debuffs and dmg tbh and she is a bond for F Blanka. So almost a must if you plan to use him
I know you mentioned mad ryu and chun-li fall off end game, but is that more for PVP and events? Realistically I don't think F2P players have many better options for progressing in challenges at the moment.
consider end game to be stage 30 - 40, ryu gets one tapped cause of suicide and chun li is valid still for team 2 - 3 comps. But most f2p won't be at 30+ (some are)

Blanka is probably top 5 when it comes to F2P units, been using him since the start of my account and it is the only unit on the game (appart from Bison) that can Tank and do HUGE dmg at the same time.

One thing I'm not seeing you mention is speed. For example, Blanka is the fastest thunder character and Decapre has incredible speed on fire. Is this just not as important because your comps don't care about speed as much? I feel like losing first strike bonus makes fights an uphill battle, or am I missing something? Additionally, it would be interesting to see your thoughts on non-mono teams and how to build them properly and what assists to use. I'm currently using Bison, Mad Ryu, Chun Li (for speed), Elena, and then have Blanka and Makoto (for Thunder faction bonus) as assists. I'm on 23-8. I'll probably dump Chun Li as soon as I get Beast Gief up to SSS but I'm waiting on fodder. I'm not f2p but I'm not a whale either, only spent less than $150. Another interesting thing to add would be who are you putting as tag units for these teams and what combo are you prioritizing.

I never looked at my Flame units until the faction towers unlocked. Now i play there with Viper->Decapre->Viper->Dhalsim combo and its realy fun.😊
