Eden songs usually have a very defined hierarchy to them? A very strict order where you have two focus singers and then the two other members are auxilliary that help to anchor and elevate the voices of the main singers which is very balanced, but it's also been a way of reinforcing and reflecting the clear lines drawn that separate Ibara and Jun from Hiyori and Nagisa. Slowly, those lines have begun to be erased and not just as group but as peers and equals, they're beginning to understand each other more and Deep Eclipse just seems like the logical and beautiful end to what EXCEED started. I got so emotional when the second verse hit and it was a perfect mirror of the first but with Ibara and Jun as the leading voices, proclaiming their own stakes and parts in the enduring myth of Eden. You almost never see such blatant equality in the division of songs in Enstar pieces, just because of the way the songs are divided, but Deep Eclipse had everyone switching from auxillary to lead and it just shows off how far each and every one of them have come in terms of working together as more than just unitmates but actually understanding and valuing each other and what they bring to the collective concept of 'Eden' and it's just - Truly an amazing piece of music, and a song I'll cherish for many years to come.
