Thanks for this video! Is it possible for the gasket to go bad and cause an intermittent fuel leak from the top of the tank? I have a leak every now and then when the tank is filled up. My mechanic didn’t see any leaks but I’m not comfortable about driving around without knowing what caused the leak.
Can you confirm something for me , my fuel pump makes the humming noise only when i crank the engine, not when i put the key to ON position.. is that normal.. is thats how yours work too.. just want to know if thats how Toyota Camry pump works.. i have the same model like yours.. thanks
you missed a big step. The plastic assembly comes apart further before you take out the pump. Watch other video guys because it's easier and some pumps these days require you to wire in a new connector anyways.
Any mistake that makes a spark can ignite gasoline vapors and the car will explode from gasoline like a bomb. Gasoline does NOT burn and make a fire like kerosene does. Hire a 'mobile mechanic' and you can order the new pump assembly ahead of time and then pay him. Let a pro take the risk... see? I had it done at 285K miles on my Corolla by a certified 'mobile mechanic' and stayed well out of the way and paid what he charged... see?
@@carfix5130 you can choke and get help or choke and spit out or cough food. A gasoline explosion will kill or blind a person in an instant. It is 2 very different risks you compared.
Why you you pay someone when you can do it yourself though? Just lazy, who cares about the risk unless your brain is made of bricks you’d take the proper precautions to avoid an explosion like a dumbass
Quality content with no bs, thank you.
Well done, short video, but enough detail. That's all I was chasing
Great video 😎looking forward to yur next videos

Good video. What are the other two things under each passenger seats that has rubber caps?
Thanks.
Should the fuel pump gasket be replaced too?
Wondering if the XLE and the LE pumps are interchangeable?
Depends v6 or i4
Are you using just a dryrag to clean around the filter?

that small metal thing with hole beside the fuel pump is fuel pressure regulator.
Yes it is and its easy to replace that
Thank you. Very easy
At 2:46. There’s that yellow piece, what is it called and where I can get it ?
When would you need to replace the assembly? Would you recommend replacing the assembly along with the pump?
You could, but not necessary unless you drop and break it. It's expensive as well, hundreds of dollars.
Is V6 2002 Camry the same?
How many miles the has have when you made this video?
So my 2004 Camry the fuel filter is inside the whole fuel pump assembly ?. Is the fuel filter also that strainer looking thing ?.
Yes
Thanks
How do I get the screen off of a fuel pump from a 2001 Toyota Avalon
Yes
Pry or cut off that little lock tab washer......
Should not edit the video when showing how to remove each connector that's annoying
Right. That was the part I needed

Este es el Mismo para un Camry 2005,porque el mio se ahoga
Why were you dissembling the old pump? It didn’t look like you used any of it?

You can choke while eating but that doesn't stop you from eating. Risk is everywhere if you think about it.

There are so many things you do everyday that can kill a person in an instant not just fixing cars.
You put yourself in much more danger getting behind the wheel and driving than changing the fuel filter.
