- How to get the Golden Chip in Megaman X3.
First off you need to have all items including:
All 8 Hearts
All 4 Sub Tanks
All 4 Ride Armors
And all 4 Body Upgrades EXCEPT the any of the Chips
Now go to Doppler's Lab 1 and go all the way through the level until you reach the part with the falling spike balls. Now make sure you have FULL health and jump down the hole on the left. Make sure to cling to the left wall and near the bottom you will fall through an invisible wall. Finally there should be a redish pink capsule. Hop in and when you come back out you are Golden.
You now have all 4 Body Chips in one. So you can now dash twice in mid air, take enven less damage, recover health when you stand still, and a new power has been added to you ability list.

One of the best ways to get there with full health is to use the ride armor (there is an access point) while at full health. That way, you cannot be damaged on the way there.
Umm he literally took damage at 1:53 and still got it. You have to be at full Life when you.get there
Um Actually You only need full Health, You can get damage but before to Enter You need to take the sub-tank to get Full Health 🤓☝️
@MetalYoshi2009 The golden chip combines all the other chips. 1 lets you dash twice in mid air . 2 lets you Regenerate health. 3 Gives you a new super charge ability and 4 makes you take even less damage than before. It is the best =D

Now you can complete the game with the Golden Chip! Mega Man X is a game that can be completed in many ways and have quite a few different endings. It's nice to always explore more possibilities. :D

@AKROXSDD if you use a number of passwords in mmx3 you can get the z saber before Doppler stage 2, and that is for all people asking why.
@EnvoRemax Hang on, I thought you could only get the Z Saber in the second stage of Doopler's laboratory.
@EnvoRemax: 2 things: 1. the sub tanks dont all need to be full to get the gold chip, i've done it before. 2. it was not there because I did not get the ride armers (which I thought were body chips at the time) so I made a miskake and you did too
Yes. It makes you much stronger. It gives you a new buster power along with an added air dash ability more health and regenerating health. It's great!

wait, how did you get the Z saber before doppler stage 2?
Probably, his get a password in a site,who have a password having all itens and a Z-saber, because all this is possible before the final bosses, but the Golden armor doenst possible save by password
Passwords
If you save your game after you beat doppler stage 2 the Z-Saber will save along with the file. This does not include the gold chip in X3 or other overpowered moves like X1's Hadouken.

I just started the zero series today. I couldn't find a working version of the first one tho, so i started on #2. making a Boss Run video. with zero damage.

@EnvoRemax In Megaman X Collection when you have the gold chip and save the game with the chip then you load it back up the chip is gone so that must mean that they limited it to just passcodes well thanks for the info.

Just gotta keep trying, you'll get it. always Dash wall jump. the jumps have to be kinda precise, if ya miss a jump you'll die..

I figured it out, there's a few passwords that give you everything and starts you at doppler stage 1. the same thing goes for mmx1, x2, and mm7

How did you get the Z-saber so fast before you even eached the red upgrader portal? i saw it when you flew it in Doppler Labratory 1. Check this part.. 0:40
If you have a PS2 or a a Gamecube, you might get Megaman X Collection, which has all megaman X up to he sixth game.
If not... Well... You can always check the storyline with google =)
By the way, have you played the Zero series ^^? They are for Game Boy Advance.

I cant get the gold armor for sone reason. I beat all bosses, got all heart tanks, sub tanks, and all capsule upgrades and did not get any body chips ( the pink capsules) and I have full health and it's not there! do you have to get some sub tanks full?
Energy has to be full on all weapons.. heads up
if I have 1 upgrade chip, what can I do to get rid of it? besides starting all over

Don’t move, if you don’t press even the d pad you will heal and fill up sub tanks
Well, you´re lucky. I don´t have a Game Boy, and I can´t download an emulator because I share my computer with my family, and I wouldn´t like to spoil my game.
Anyway...

Is the chip permanent or do you have to keep going back and getting when you turn the game off?
uh... what determines whether or not Zero dies? i went through all of Dopplers castle, got every upgrade and zero was okay. Do i need to play through the game as zero?
No, the only time you need to use Zero is for the mosquito fight. Did you get the gold chip or one of the others? Did you make sure to kill Vile with the ray splash/saw blades?
I killed bit, byte and vile before i got to Doppler's castle. And i didnt fight the giant mosquito in doppler's castle, he never appeared.
Did you happen to let zero die somewhere else in the game and are you sure you got the gold chip as well?

You can't have one of the four pink capsules before going for the gold armor.
does the health packs all have to be filled?

alright well after playing through the game twice, getting all the power ups and defeating bit, byte AND vile, the gold chip capsoule does not appear. care to shed some light on this for me?
You don't need all 4 sub tanks filled, but having a few filled helps to fill up your health before you get to the capsule.

no just right before you get the chip, use sub tank after you drop down, after enemies
