Btw there is a dead skeleton in the gith creche that has the scythe and few other loot specific items, the scythe also has homing weapon so you could use it as a throw weapon. The exact spot is when you go down the stairs then enter the double doors you get a cutscene with the gith to the left in the prison cells there is a skeleton called Dread overlord cultist loot him for cool items in act 1

There's also several books scattered around in act 1, one is right next to the necromancy of Thay book, one is at the Zent HQ, and other places. Really cool how they enriched the game with lore for this class

Dread overlord is such a fun and funny class when you use all the stuff given to you through it. With just one level. You can gain all the additional ability score and saving throw totem buffs. Gain additional armor class through taking souls. And best of all. overcharge the shield so you can laugh at all the range enemies. Still can’t help but laugh at that Vlakith warlock who shot herself with an Eldrich blast off a high ledge several times.
With this mod conner also gets a buff. Every time you resummon him he leaves behind a gore pile so you can raise undead. That way you dont have to kill an enemy to raise their corpse
I'd love to see some more level 20 builds from you I know they break the balance of the game but it's so fun having the extra 8 levels to toy around with

I'm still trying to find the Damaged Soulshepard armor that you get a blueprint for in the underdark during the Dread Overlord quest. It's pissing me off because I want some badass armor specific to the Dread Overlord class, but I can't find it. Lol. 😂
@ghostface490 the armor can be found in 2 places, first at the githyanki cresh in the prison cell area and second in the underdark in the shed above the Underdark Beach fast travel
So I’ve downloaded a few of the level 20 class mods, as well as the xp boost mod, but I haven’t gotten around to finishing a modded campaign yet, how easy or hard is it to actually get to level 20? Is there anything you would need to do differently or could you just play as normal and do it?
It is impressively strong! Once you get the skeleton dragon its game over for anything that stands in your way! Such a fun subclass I can't get enough of it

Honor Mode for the extra Legendary action/difficulty but I have a few OP mods that kinda make the run not as “survival” oriented and more “mod showcase-y” One of the mods Progressive Weapons helps early game too. They’re weapons that level up with you. Dread Overlord I believe also has some sort of secret side quest for special gear/abilities? Not sure lol that’s why I put the ? I found something near the Necromancy of Thay. 😮

Unlock level curve mod could work for you.Then try the double xp mod.That’s how far i’ve gotten but again i have not played the entire game.I do not know if that’s gonna be enough help to get you there.But i do know that you’ll be closer to reaching that level if you do.
@@JasonDunna honestly it's been so incredibly fun and powerful for a while, summoning a bunch of hands that travel so far AND can hit for about 7 damage each itself is super nice. Though it's definitely a bit more powerful than usual as I have the double xp mod to get to lv 20 and the feats on even levels so im extra op.

Noob question, download mod and testing in one run, after test, delete. In run 2 do any change, like modifig the save file With no load during test in this run?
You can also get some pretty cool bonuses if you do the mini unmarked questline that the class comes with. In act one, I was able to find four of the totems for the quest. Two of them gave me permanent bonuses for my character. One was just a plus one to arcana and plus one to history checks. The other passive gave me a plus 2 to medicine and the chance to create two potions instead of one if you roll a 15+ to medicine check. The other give items, one is a chest armor that boosts the sheild of souls. The other one gives you a grenade type of item that when you toss it on a corpse, you'll summon one of the mushroom guys from the underdark. That's all I've found so far!

That one gave me trouble to find, lol. There's another in the mushroom colony. Go up the mushroom steps where the skinny sovereign guy is, then go up another set of mushroom steps to the left of the skinny sovereign guy. This totem requires you craft something. You'll need to give Nere's head to the skinny sovereign so he'll turn it into a mushroom head. Swipe the head and craft the item. Idk if you can get the mushroom head from the fat sovereign if you side with him and I don't have a save to check. Sorry. The last one I found near the underdark ancient forge waypoint. When you pop out of the waypoint, hang to the left a bit and climb up the stairs, the totem is at the top. This one also wants you to craft an item. Use the underdark beach waypoint for easy reference, trust me, lol. Right next to that waypoint is a rope netting you climb up, and inside the broken looking shack, there should be a skeleton of a executed dead cultist. Loot dat bad boy for the item you need to craft with. Boom! Profit!
Also, you get passives from reading the Libor Mortis that comes with the mod on any Dread Warlocks in your party. Be sure to check back on the book every now and again because I got another passive to pop from it at a later level. I'm only L8 right now, so IDK if you get more or how many you get. For funsies, I tried respec'n to see if the book and totem passives stay.... and they did! HAX! Lol.

You can also get an undead dragon by being a level 17+ Oathbreaker Paladin and using Control Undead on Ansur. (He will have 0 movement and will only follow you to the South Span or Rivington Waypoints, so he isn't of much use in combat though.) I did that in my second (first Dark Urge) playthrough. (I also took control of the Apostle of Myrkul in that same playthrough, but had to save scum because it soft locked the game as I couldn't get him to drop Ketheric's netherstone.)
@@JasonDunna I only had a 20% chance of success when I tried it on Ansur, but my Gale was a Wild Magic Sorcerer and his Bend Luck reaction provided exactly the bonus I needed to barely pass. I'd hit the undead dragon with one arrow before trying Control Undead but he was still at almost full health. Neither he nor his Myrmidons got to take a turn.

From what I’ve experienced on patch 7 the mod load order doesn’t matter, I thought it did but doesn’t seem like it makes any difference

The issues in my ps5 runs is all fix’s. Using now 6 mods and is just play. Cosmetic heads is so limited on consoles
Is it only certain necrotic spells because bone chill doesn't seem to be working for me as far as the minion points go
