+Ibrahim- Santiago \m/
+Ibrahim- Santiago this is my favorite comment on youtube ever
The groove at 1:08 is unreal
Bruh, it makes me happy to be alive
@@lets_lvl_up Daaamn throwback, completely forgot about this song
ill make you remember again
When the bass drops, someone's gotta catch it.
Just discovered this band(I know,I´m late to the party),damn this stuff is awesome, technical but lots of groove.
+greekfreak1980 listen to his older albums like "A voice within" its awesome shit!
+greekfreak1980 No. Listen to Epiphany. Right now.
+d talmood I'm awake is a song on this album, do you mean In Time or A Space Between?
Christian Ryle yes! haha i just re read my comment after you said that. i meant a voice within and a space between is also a great album
+greekfreak1980 Kind of a new style for them. They were a bit more on the heavy chugging side earlier. Still a great band to listen to. Aaron Marshall can really play!!
another band similar to this style that I can think of right now would be Polyphia
When it started I immediately got that John Petrucci Suspended Animation vibe with some serious Aaron Marshall in there! I fucking love it.
I swear this song gets better every time I hear it!
Man the notes you choose are so damn fabuloso haha
Get chills every time at 2:53. I think this is the best moment on the album, and possibly all albums of all time. Maybe I'm just partisan.
I do too it's so goooooooood!!!!! Going to see them live soon and I'm so beyond excited.
Idk about being partisan that shit's just fuckin butter! Don't know if I've heard anything as smooth my whole life
All albums of all time? Alr now💀
I definitely give Intervals props for sounding progressive without making use of those overly djenty off-beat rhythms. The mood, & texture is very upbeat and warm. Yummy!
wtf you got against odd times gnarly sequences ? :0 you should listen to some animals as leaders :D
Man this album has such a bright, positive and joyful sound
This album is like 10 years past it’s time, can’t believe I’m just finding it now
The album artwork is beautiful and the bass at 0:55-0:57 is killer, best moment for me in the entire album. love the music
OH CRAP OH CRAP GONNA LEARN THE HELL OUT OF THIS
+Adrian Valencia ^~^
+Kobold I'm working on a vocal cover myself ;)
1:09 only gets stuck in my head everyday, It's fine.
HELLS YES, THE NEW OLD INTERVALS IS BACK BABY.
Just in case anyone's trying to practice this, full speed BPM is about 165, and the 75% speed is 123 BPM
3:05 gets me every single time
I love 2:09-> the variations of the hook line after that beautiful fingerpicking are just breath taking live. I almost levitated front row
can t wait to learn this one...
+Jason LovesABR lol dude www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/intervals-sure-shot-tab-s402926t1
Jason LovesABR no you can google and find that lol
this has been on replay for an entire day now and still discovering small intricate beautiful licks
Listened to Aaron play this live tonight in NYC -- this song is an absolute leviathan. Well done. Best show I've ever been to.
I was at this show too! :D Best live performance I've ever seen.
+SeatofWisdom Concur completely. I was new to Save us from the Archon and Angel Vivaldi, so they warmed me up. Plini was outstanding. But Aaron blew it out of the water -- he sounds tremendous on stage and he easily has the chops to both replicate the sweet album quality + keep it fresh in a live setting.
Intervals became my favorite bands, thanks a lot
Wow...these sounds! are humans capable of listening to such a divine sound????? bravo Aaron
This is prob the heaviest song on the album lol I enjoyed the ride with this album.
Jesus... This is just... beautiful, can't express with words actually. Such a great song and very enjoyable!
So groovy and magic, love it Aaron!!
these melodies just nail my brain
Punchy bass, amazing groove, slick licks.... nothing wrong whatsover with this!
Heavy ass guitar riffs too. It's just amazing
sooooo awesome!!!! intervals are getting even better :D
Just had the honor of seeing these guys live along with Plini and Save us From the Archon. Best show of my life undoubtably! Plini and simon grove played guitar and bass for Intervals. SUFTA was awesome, plus their guitarist accidentally kicked a hole in the wall. Got to meet everyone and say hi. Plini was a fucking monster to say the least, as was Aaron! It's impossible to listen to such good music and not just grin like an idiot. So much fun, please come back to NC anytime :D
Probably the best clean part I've ever heard.
Best tune on the album. Absolute beast.
One of my favourite songs in the whole album (:
Keep coming back to this song, bloody incredible. can't wait to see Intervals with Animals as leaders and Plini in July!
The whole song is amazing -- 1:44 is pure magic
This is the most incredible instrumental prog metal song I've ever heard! Kudos to Intervals for this masterpiece!
I love Intervals...period!
Must. Finish. Learning. This. Riff. The bass guitar tone is amazing on this album!
This is art
Scale the Summit radio on Pandora got me here, just found out about this band a few days ago and this was the first song, amazing.
Favorite track of the album right there! That chorus is perfection
When the guitar is the vocalist damn can't get enuff ! TAF
I don't think that Aaron is influenced by DT or John Petrucci, but as someone else pointed out, this song has got kind of a Suspended Animation-feel.
+Roderick Peterson Check out the Epiphany video and note the tone and riff around 0:55 - 1:25. Could just be me, but I thought it was pretty Petrucci-esque. Also note his axe lol
BeginningOfEternity Gotta agree.
+Roderick Peterson I get a strong cky vibe.
Daniel Daigle Are you for real.
+Roderick Peterson the riff around 1:10
best song by you yet Aaron! love this new style of yours! peaceful yet funky
i feel as though i have been spirited away on an epic journey full of emotion and adventure and righteous causes. Many thanks to the artist
JUST GREAT !!! THE SHAPE OF COLOUR AND GOOD ENERGY !!!
fantastic this album has it all regarding the distribution of technical and sound, but the best , which is instrumental .
the bass. love the tone.
This song is PERFECT
this song is so good live its unbeleivable
so much love for this one
dat heavy riff!
that ending sequence.
Whole album is amazing. Well done. Can't wait for my pre-order this Friday.
This is beautiful man. I love it when you can hear the growth and expansion of a musician/band from record to record. Fwiw, I prefer Intervals as an instrumental project. Thank you for the beautiful music. Hope you get to a show or two in New York. Peace! - themetalmystic
Awesome album - love it! Best one since the mighty "Space Between" I would say.
was worried I wouldn't like this album as much as the last one since I loved the vocals but I love this album. Just wish the pre order wouldn't take so long to get to UK!
this is just amazing
So kickass, this and Chon and Polyphia!!!
Intervals and CHON ❤
Good stuff
looove the groove
Dayyyuuumn son, he got groove!
I wish they could do another song similar to The space in between- Begin. That was the most amazing song i ever heard , if you see this intervals please consider it !
Absolutely amazing. I wanna learn this badly!
Come to Brazil! :D
This shit makes me feel utterly incompetent as a musician.
just takes talent, practice, hard work, dedication, and equipment....
Talent doesn't exist. Just practice. Anyone can achieve good guitar playing if they put the hours in.
He's actually being pretty objective, talent is just when other people perceive that you didn't put any hard work into being good at something, when in reality countless hours were spent on the activity, "talented" people have made it such an ingrained part of their daily life that it gets practiced every chance they get. My friends think I'm talented when it comes to guitar, no, I'm just an obsessive compulsive noodler that can't put a guitar down once I've picked it up because my hands constantly need to be doing something. Heck I've lost sleep because of it, lol, not saying that it's necessarily a bad thing, but anyways other people see only the result and they think "wow you're so talented, I wish I had that!"
+Swarky What are you talking about? Literally saying "You need to put in the hours of work to achieve this level of skill" is somehow "Participation prize". You have problems, one of them being reading comprehension.
If you think "talent" exists in our bodies, you are objectively and scientifically wrong. Get real.
+Swarky where did this millennial assumption come from? lol, I'm probably older than you, getting upset isn't going to make people agree with you
Not a hater though i love polyphia but this is how you combine feel and technique versus just playing technical or technically being good. Polyphia is good HANDS DOWN fast notes/crazy riffs but just sounding bland there's just no feel to it. anyway mad respect for this album wishing aaron all the best!
+Jure Zadravec intervals and chon > polyphia.... agreed polyphia sounds cool and all but it sounds like theyre just soloing over a backing track at times
+Jure Zadravec I think Champagne, especially Nick Johnston's solo is very listenable. Other than that, I don't really have much interest in the band.
+Joshua Jose I love Polyphia too -- Finale is my favorite song, because I think it perfectly combines technicality and melody, and I feel many instrumental groups completely neglect the latter in their modern works... -- but I just *feel* Aaron's groove a lot more. This album combines everything together seamlessly: power and calm; groove and the moves; tasty layers and strong solos; melody and technicality. An incredible job well-done to the new Intervals: I'm pumped to see Aaron and Plini tour in NYC in late March!
+michael latham my nigga! *high five*
***** or just not their taste? because it is possible dislike polyphia?
Here after you played this live in Winnipeg tonight. Maaaaaaaaan that fucking show blew my mind.
Dope
My biggest criticism of this album is that it can get a bit too jazzy and noodly at times, which isn't my thing. I'm more into riffs and grooves, so this song is easily my favourite on the album.
When is being jazzy a bad thing ? Lollll
***** I never said it was, it's just not what I look for in a djent band.
Well perhaps he wants to get away from the "djent" label.
Someone needs to get a lifetime supply of LSD to Aaron Marshal
Claim it on tax lol
By someone i meant not me...xD
We could have another Vai on our hands, only this one is better xD
+Fat Milky ^
+Jonathan Lin Not enough people know what true psychedelics can do to a musician
Found you on instagram about a week ago looking at guitar videos. It was a preview to one of you new coming songs that I am fucking pumped for!!! I have saved all you're new previews and I freaking love them. I hope to be as good as you some day, hopefully with a PRS like the black one you have XD never stop rocking bro.
Im glad your music has gone instrumental. I respect the vocals, but for your music vocals are unnecessary. your guitar does all the singing.
that was only one album
. all their albums before were all instrumental. besides there's an official instrumental version of that album
+Chris H They're both such different beasts. The great part is, they're able to write around vocals too. The instrumentals just shine that much more when they're written without vox in mind. I'm elated with pretty much all of their work, vocals or not.
TRUE.
I couldn’t agree more, Chris H!!!
Dear god have mercy. *faints*
1:09 Post Chorus Party Time 69000 Riff
The jams
2:08
The Great Saphenous doesnt get better then that
Aaron did a masterful job not just playing technically and shredding the entire album but also writing great compositions. The melodic guitar riffs that take the place of the vocals is absolutely amazing. You can totally imagine vocals being sung with the lead kinda popish and catchy melodies he's playing. But it's my pop melodies in a bad way, totally in the best way possible. He adds a lot of pop punk style riffs and chord progressions. Travis orbin put a lot of groove behind this album as well. I like Anup better than Travis but this album is definitly my favorite intervals album and quite honestly this just might reach one of the top instrumental albums of all time for me. That's how much I dig this album. Animals as leaders The Joy of motion, peripherys self titled instrumental , intervals the shape of colour, and chon's Grow are definitly my favorites and are all must have instrumental albums for this genre imo.
0:43
L I C C
dope
Definitely some John petrucci influences.
2:08 yaaaasss
1:09 sounds like Still Winning/Sonor
Goddamn gorgeous
Went to look up the tab on Ultimate-Guitar and got bummed to see the artist had it removed...are you releasing or have you released a tab book for purchase for the album by any chance? I'm really wanting to try and learn this song in particular
WOW :D
at 2:07 could anyone suggest song which have chord progression like this and awesome clean tone?
can you please sell this on amazon??
This band should definitely stay instrumental imo.
The vocals ruin everything.
Not meant to be rude but your music is so unique and perfect that it really does not need any vocals! \m/
Keep up the great work! ;) \m/
Man they don't ruin a thing, it's just different... u can simply state that u like instrumental better without saying voice ruins the songs
Litty
Fucking love every second of this
Diggin' this album but where is the heavy side?
wew
0:48 Remain Indoors?
Fucking hell Aaron!! This is insanee!!
I don't think there's a song that can touch "I'm Awake"
The solo...
Why the bass volume is so low??
what happened to the vocals? I liked them :c
OMG THIS SUCKS SO MUCH WITHOUT ANUP, LUKAS, AND MIKE!!!!
haha j/k I have only heard 30 seconds and so far it's aight!
even as amazing as this album sounds, I still slightly miss the sound from the old album
