Huh I saw this just after I started doing a challenge in Skyrim were the games on master and survival and when I die I roll a D8 and go back 1-8 saves depending on the number of the die
I got an idea for a series - you made boss, biome and NPC themed houses and locales, but I have an idea for a series of builds that might be cool. You know how many furniture sets have dedicated work benches like the Skymill or the Living Loom associated to them? How about you make builds using those furniture sets... but you paint them in a way that gives them a completely different theme for what they'd normally be intended for.
@@Khaios dude you're either too humble or tripping on something good, your creative building prowess in Terraria is at least three or four orders of magnitude beyond anybody else I've seen in the community. You deserve every sub and more.

Genuinely, this looks beautiful! I've been starting a journey mode play through to just go with some building-focus in the game, and you're for sure going to be a big help with all of your amazing vids on building!
Ok… -Painted snow rubble is a really creative way to represent crystals, and I think it worked out really well. -Those trees look so majestic and awesome. -I’m glad Re-Logic allowed builders to make artificial shimmer biomes (unlike oceans 😔) -And overall, this build just looks so good, nice job.
@@pirilon78 Maybe access to the sky and have shell piles or something???? If you didn't know, the "surface" layer (the one that emulates it, not the true surface) in the Remix seed works as an ocean hybrid biome in some places (particularly those with a lot of water) for the purposes of mob spawning, so it's not something actually set-in-stone like we thought it was, it's just there's no inherent way to detangle it from its positional requirement as-is.
Broooo u got 300k, this is only terraria building channel i watch oftenlly, i really like his voice and, his pation in building. I really like building in minecraft while i was younger. Now i am terraria player, i like building in terraria now. This channel gave so many building tips. Well done!

I wish we could make a new type of poo block which makes flies glow. Maybe it could be Shimmering Poo Block. Also, I wish that waterfalls cause continuous ripples to appear on the liquids

I just started playing Terraria in the last few weeks (like, I'm watching "NEW features in Terraria 1.4.4!" videos and going "oh, that was there the first day I opened the game" 😅), but I love building environments in pixel game styles-I've got history in modding Pokémon games-and your build videos helped me immediately shoot the quality of my builds through the roof. Can't wait until I've got the experience (and tools!) to make great-looking builds like this. (I'm still pre-hardmode lol.) Thanks for putting out so many build tips, congrats on your recent boom in subscribers, and I'm happy to be one of them.
I just wanted to say, if you make a dummy engine to actuate blocks, the blocks still APPEAR non-actuated, but you can glitchily walk through it, lets say, for custom trees?? I thought you might find it usefull!

Looks amazing! (as always) I love the custom trees and invisible fog machines - those add so much and make it more than "just a pile of liquid." The falls from one pond to another also add some dynamism and make it feel like a whole Shimmer nest! I took a totally different avenue with my Shimmer biome - it's on the surface, a huge pool of it in the Hallow. The shifting colors blend perfectly with the vibrant Hallow architecture - it's a shame they're stuck underground. The glowing Aetherium blocks surround the lake, as a way to transition from the brightly-lit Shimmer to the unlit Stone - I might have to use those Gemspark Walls you did for an extra splash of lighting. Aetherium blocks also go amazingly with Cloud Walls, as the Aetherium Wall kinda looks nothing like the block :P

Nice idea on the fog machines. I found echo painting bubble machines and hiding them in the shimmer gives a nice effect. Also activating aether blocks and making spikes with them as backgrounds looks good. Backgrounds also Mixed with aether wall and aether block wall that had speckled illuminate coating here and there to look nice, pink painted ice flow wall mixed sparely thru also provides a nice effect. Also coat the walls in gems and crystal shards I totally agree we need a shimmer waterfall block and wall and dropper, a shimmer moss would be nice too or even aether trees. Another fun idea would be a shimmer mount that allows you to ghost phase thru the world and have freedom of flight at the same time

With a build like this, what do you think about building a tree in the background, actuated? I think that would be neat, it would give it some depth and solve the issue of getting more trees in without the space becoming unnavigable

This makes me think that it'd be really cool if Poo Blocks could be painted in certain ways to make their emitted flies have the same effect. Pink-painted Illuminant-coated flies would look amazing in this build. ( Still can't believe that the Poo Block is a valuable resource and building material. Darn you, Redigit )
I feel like giving the poo blocks an additional effect with paint where the flies change color depending on how they are painted could be cool. Or if they have the glow paint stuff become fireflies

By the way, if you make crystals out of aetherium blocks they look amazing!!! Just build a pillar with a hammered sloped top. The pillar can be either vertical/horizontal or diagonal this way. Usually I use aetherium bricks for the tip of the crystal because they have a smoother look to them. I've added lots to the ceiling of my own aether biome and they act great both as decoration and as a natural light source. It looks much better than crystals made of crystal blocks, anyway.
When I was thinking of a remade Aether biome, I was thinking of a bunch of sectioned-off areas within a large circle with a large section of Shimmer (similar to the current Aether biome) in the middle, but this is nice as well.
I have honestly watched so many of your videos on my switch at this point that I’m actually decent at building now. My cousin always says I decorate my world too much lol. (Also congrats on 300k! I’ve been watching your videos ever since 2020 and I honestly love them)

I had considered that, but decided that the delay between critters converting, and the sound of them converting would be far more distracting than they're worth. Sound idea tho!

My first experience with the Aether was when I was playing the Celebrationmk10 seed, so I just assumed it generated the same in most normal world gen maps, but no, in mk10 the aether extends below the pool and all water down to a certain level is replaced with shimmer. Pretty cool 👍
On the subject of adding life to a build, it would be interesting if we could take critters and make a... thing that essentially spawns a copy of that critter in nearby. Though maybe just in a cosmetic sense, so you can't interact with them. So something like a terrarium, but the terrarium is invisible and only the creature inside is visible.
I gotta say, this turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! And I absolutely agree: We need some form of either Shimmer or Aetherium Walls for the sake of background detailing!...
