      Remember, if the challenge fails, we get another penalty and a chance to end up out of reach if it becomes 3-1 Preds. I personally didn't mind the non-challenge because this team has already come back to win on two occasions. The reffing has been downright awful this series.

    With the way goaltender interference challenges have been going these playoffs, Tocchet should’ve challenged the first Preds goal because ain’t no way that counts. Can’t believe that counted in the first place too…

    Nashville winning thanks to a goal scored by kicking Silovs into the goal just a day after Tampa lost off of having two goals disallowed because someone was standing sort of near the net is peak NHL.

    I was glad the Preds won but dissatisfied with their first goal. A Preds player pushed Šilovs into the puck which was what caused the puck to go into the net. Goaltender interference, yes? I would have expected Toronto to say so.

      im a canucks fan - its just a good old fashioned crash the net goal. Puck was clearly not covered and just ended up in the net. wasnt worth the challenge. Joshua penalty was the real problem for that to happen =/

If you push on a goalie it is no goal. "puck wasn't covered". Do you see the puck at all prior to it going in? Man nucks fans are dense.

    So, Tampa gets TWO goals called back because of interference by just barely touching the goalie, yet they let a player crash into a goalie and move him into the net and it counts. I want the Preds to win but come on, that was clearly not a goal.

      Yeah, reffing was ass in this game anyway. They missed the high stick on Barrie in the 2nd, so they had to make up for it by looking for anything to call on Vancouver. Then, of course, the goal in question happens. The Tampa game was even more ridiculous with those disallowed goals, especially the 2nd one

    How did the refs allow the preds first goal to count . Our first goalie is injured , second goalie got ran over and third goalie got pushed into the net and they counted the goal . You would think that they would have greater emphasis on the goalie related incidents but evidently not .

    Two goals taken away from Tampa yesterday and this one that counted against Vancouver - it just makes no sense at all to me. Zero. You either have one set of rules for everyone in every situation of the same nature or else just stop pretending.

      @@jamesharris4041 I truly believe Butthead is directly related to the cupless drought Canadian teams have been suffering from. I mean, how much more coincidence can this be? The first year he was announced commissioner was also the last year Canada has owned a cup. Do the math, 32 teams, 7 of them Canadian, the odds should be every 5 years for a Canadian team to win a cup, but nope, 30 years and nothing. It’s so way off the average it’s like something’s been tampered with. And officiating has been the atomic bomb behind it.

    Hopefully this is the game that causes the league to rework the challenge rule. Give each team ONE challenge to use a game. There shouldn't be any punishment for issuing a valid challenge, and it's less likely to be abused if they only have the single challenge to burn.
    That puck had lost all forward momentum until Silovs was shoved into it.

      I also think they should automatically review any goal where the goaltender was contacted by an opposing player in any fashion. Doesn’t have to be a long review, but it should be checked every time. For free.

    It really is fascinating that out of all the Vancouver high danger chances there were, the Zadarov shot from the side board is the one that went in. Really entertaining game in intensity. However, I think both teams need to re-evaluate their powerplays cause that was horrid from both teams. Should be entertaining on Friday.

Teams like these can beat anyone in a series, sure both teams are beatable but who would really want to play either of them for multiple games in a row. Ouch

      @@Nickh4929 If you watch the replay in slow-mo, you can see the puck had remaining no forward momentum. It only gained momentum again when the goalie was pushed into it. If it was loose, it should have been touched in with a stick, not with the goalie's body lol.

If anything, they were trying to just will Van to end the series. Nash got away with a few non-calls, but NOWHERE NEAR the amount that the zebras let go for Van.       Canucks played very well defensively and the predators barely did anything until the refs decided that the Canucks weren’t allowed to throw hits and the predators were allowed to hook. This was a sad American biased game and that’s all

Either you call the penalty on Joshua and set the standard for what a penalty is, and therefore also call the penalty for the hook on Pettersson right before the 2nd preds goal, or you don’t call penalties at all. Either way, the Canucks had that in control and probably would’ve won in regulation if no penalties were called

    Goalie interference on first goal. Preds still the better team but Silovs gets run by the player on the break and goes down then the puck ends up behind him and then preds player shoves everyone into the goal mouth causing the puck to go in. Not sure why they didn’t challenge tbh

      He was the backup goaltender for game 5. They may opt to just play Silovs as the hot hand considering DeSmith is likely not fully 100%. But you never know! I'm sure DeSmith would love to get back in the net as well.

      If you look at the replay of Boeser's tying goal in G4, he smashed Saros' stick away as he swatted the puck into the net. With your logic, that would be goaltender interference. Both the goals you're complaining about were good hockey goals.
