    I agree with the fire bottom up not top down!! in a wood stove because of the natural air flow and gravity of wood stoves!! In Canada we have Blaze Kings which are one of the best rated stoves in the world cheers🙂

    Wow even stricter regs than here in the USA! Just another step closer to banning wood stoves. We need more education not more regulations!

    Dont waste your time and money buying pine for kindling or building a fire bottom up like this, instead;
    Use (dry) small bracnches or chop down a split log into small pieces, place those on top of your split logs and light them with a very small amount of fire starter or by lighting one of the smallest bits of kindling (branches etc.)
    This is the top down method and avoides reaching down through the criss crossed nonsense to attempt to light far too much firelighter material as well as opening the door up after the pine has taken to stack split logs on top.
    Instead a top down will burn and drop hot material onto the split logs underneath which will then catch and there's no need to tend to it for hours, not opening the door more often than a necessary is more efficient and avoids smoke in your home, especially during the starting.
    I learnt this from a Swede decades ago and it's far more efficient than the process in this video.

    How the hell did we manage for thousands of years without enviro regulations and all manner of associations to protect us from ourselves?

    Burn efficiently? They are now made so you can’t fully shut your heater down over night and still have coals in the morning, I have no idea who thought that’s a good idea cause you burn way more wood than ever before and even have to get up early hours of the morning to stoke it cause they can’t shut down. How is that good by using way more wood?

      The new Australia standards make companies build there wood heaters so that they emit way less emissions then in the past… nothing they have said is incorrect.. so don’t mislead others with your opinion..
