Daniel I finally got a chance to play your line of the Vienna where you sac all your pieces and mate him in 20 moves. It went exactly like your video move for move and it was the most satisfying thing I’ve ever done. Thanks man
I think it's just decency. Going around beating lower rated players and calling them trash is not exactly nice. However, aside from the blunder on move 6 his opponent indeed played well.
Just wanted to say thanks so much for the videos, Danya. I'd been hovering between 1700-1800 for a long time and watching these has really helped me improve my chess principles and calculation. It's taken me to 2000+ on lichess for the first time, and I've even managed to beat a couple of 2050+ rated opponents! I like how you keep it focused on the teaching (apart from the occasional historical tidbits, which are also great). Lots of love and admiration from India.
I just found this channel and I couldn't agree more. I love some other streamers/RUclipsrs who are all very entertaining, but none are as educational as Daniel.
I think a large part of it (besides Dayna's great communication skills) is the format. Going through a game and explaining ideas, strategies, and logical thinking is so beneficial for any chess player.
Just want to give you a big thank you for this series. Yesterday I hit a 2000 rating on lichess for the first time in my life. Largely thanks to you 🙏🏻
These are amazing, honestly the best explanations I've ever seen. I started playing chess during the pandemic, just discovered your channel a few weeks ago and have added over 100 ELO because of it. Just wanted to throw a comment your way for the algorithm. Keep it up, I love having these speed runs to watch every few days, and I doubt they'll ever get old
Hi Danya i heard we are playing d4 openings so i would love to see the Catalan. Its my favorite opening of all time and it would like to see you play it
Towards the end of the game I was thinking about the idea of seeing ghosts and remaining calm when you're being attacked. Certainly a common problem for us lower rated players. Is it just a case of experience of knowing which threats are real or could you do a specific video on the topic?
@@Andreyous As far as I remember in this closed stucture with e5 you first try to clear things up with Bh6 and h4-h5 and then it depends on the way black defends, so knight to e2 and g3 (perhaps f5) or via h3 to g5. The bishop surely looks a little stupid most of the time, but at last he can go to d3 and perhaps there are chances that you can play f4 and e5 or his job is simply to stabilize the center and connect the rooks, so you can triple on the h-file. So in this closed structure it isn't really a priority to develop the kingside.
If black plays an early Nd7 blocking the LSB, as shown in post-game analysis, white can play Nh3 and then Nf2 to develop the knight without blocking white’s LSB diagonal.
I really don’t understand how he’s good at everything? Even after being down a piece he still played terrible, senseless move. For example his bishop just sat there doing absolutely nothing. Taking the g pawn was terrible aswell. All the guy did was make one move threats lol. He played poorly from start to finish.
@@redr0sid210 he played surprisingly well for being down an entire piece (Danya said so as well). Towards the end you can't really blame him. Taking the g pawn doesnt particularly matter when you're gonna get mated in a few moves regardless. The only real bad mistake he made was not seeing the threats that lost him a bishop. If this game was against anybody else other than a GM some of that counter play probably would have worked.
I love thinking about the person on the other end of this game who is playing his/her heart out… Thinking they’re playing another 1700 and just getting slowly steam rolled the entire game🤣🤣
I found that e5 90% wins you the game on the spot on 2000 lvl. It's actually funny. People want to be smart and set a "trap" by giving white an extra possibility that's bad but they just check a few moves, see that it's supposedly bad and stop. Then they end up shocked when they get mated by move 20 because it turns out that Black really needs to know what they are doing. I am at 2000 level and I have won every single game with e5 quickly. Definitely worth to look into if you are under 2100-2200.
I am a rookie. But I am playing KI since the beginning. It would be very interesting to see you on the other side of the board, playing KI. Thanks for the content!
Daniel: It doesn't matter at this point how you decide to win. There are a million ways. Me: lmao no yeah totally but just for fun, like, how would YOU win
As a 900 I'm surprised I'm getting majority of these guesses right instinctively. I just have no opening database in my brain yet. I'm sure when I do I can get over 1000elo
Could you possibly please play the KID as black?? I would love to learn more attacking ideas. There are times where e5 is stuffed by white or they don't lock up the center. Just different attacking ideas or lines. I play mostly sicilian or the KID and would like to strengthen my KID lines.
4:29 my intuition told me that pawn takes is definitely better in this case that i plugged this position into an engine and i was right. so you are wrong about knight taking being the best move
Lol Danya's analogies always have me dead, "It's like we won a lottery ticket but we are in a warzone"
He's a great educator tbh, always has really nice comparisons and analogies
If only you knew Harstem's analogies...
😂😂😂 like how do you know if you won?!? Are you googling the winning numbers while bullets fly overhead? 😂😂😂

5 moves in: proceeds to play the sharpest line in Kings Indian
Very true !!
well most of the time the sharpest line is the semi-averbakh or the bayonet attack but almost all variations are equally as sharp as each other
Daniel: this was a tough game, our opponent is really good also Daniel: this game was completely over on move 6
Do you even realize how underrated this guy is?
@@inordirectional what do you think his actual rating would be?
@@ahmedejaz1125 probably exactly what it is. Streamers seem to have to call everyone underrated

6 months into my chess journey and undoubtedly danya is the most educational streamer...not even a debate.
I share you opinion too. I would even say the last 300 points that i gained were mostly from watching his videos. I'm learning so much

Blitz or rapid?

6:31 Missed a good tactic: Bg5 allows Nxe4!
But it still drops the bishop on D7 at the end if fxe4 and qxg5
@@poopnugget7225 Qxg5+ comes with check, so for instance, after Kb1, black can play Rfd8, and the bishop on d7 is fine.

does anyone know how to develop the kingside pieces in the samish?
He says it in the video 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 g6 3. Nc3 Bg7 4. e4 d6 5. f3 T
nah i meant like the kingside knight and bishop. they literally took like 20 moves to get out

For black, it's a great example of where someone is good at everything despite being down a piece, but man that king is really really sad and alone.
