Lol Danya's analogies always have me dead, "It's like we won a lottery ticket but we are in a warzone"
He's a great educator tbh, always has really nice comparisons and analogies
If only you knew Harstem's analogies...
😂😂😂 like how do you know if you won?!? Are you googling the winning numbers while bullets fly overhead? 😂😂😂
Daniel I finally got a chance to play your line of the Vienna where you sac all your pieces and mate him in 20 moves. It went exactly like your video move for move and it was the most satisfying thing I’ve ever done. Thanks man
Can you link me to the video?
@@TrinhNguyen-yw6dg search it... on his channel... idk
most satisfying thing you have ever done??😂😂😂
What line is it? Sounds interesting
If someone can link it that would be awesome
Before game: "I'll bore you guys with positional games"
5 moves in: proceeds to play the sharpest line in Kings Indian
Very true !!
well most of the time the sharpest line is the semi-averbakh or the bayonet attack but almost all variations are equally as sharp as each other
We've won a lottery ticker, but we're in a warzone.
*scribbles notes furiously*
Daniel: this was a tough game, our opponent is really good also Daniel: this game was completely over on move 6
Do you even realize how underrated this guy is?
@@inordirectional what do you think his actual rating would be?
@@ahmedejaz1125 probably exactly what it is. Streamers seem to have to call everyone underrated
I think it's just decency. Going around beating lower rated players and calling them trash is not exactly nice. However, aside from the blunder on move 6 his opponent indeed played well.
🤣
"This isn't alcohol, it's tea."
Me, drinking tea with whisky in it: "Same here."

Just wanted to say thanks so much for the videos, Danya. I'd been hovering between 1700-1800 for a long time and watching these has really helped me improve my chess principles and calculation. It's taken me to 2000+ on lichess for the first time, and I've even managed to beat a couple of 2050+ rated opponents! I like how you keep it focused on the teaching (apart from the occasional historical tidbits, which are also great). Lots of love and admiration from India.
6 months into my chess journey and undoubtedly danya is the most educational streamer...not even a debate.
I share you opinion too. I would even say the last 300 points that i gained were mostly from watching his videos. I'm learning so much
I just found this channel and I couldn't agree more. I love some other streamers/RUclipsrs who are all very entertaining, but none are as educational as Daniel.
I think a large part of it (besides Dayna's great communication skills) is the format. Going through a game and explaining ideas, strategies, and logical thinking is so beneficial for any chess player.
I agree
Have you checked out John Bartholomew and Chess Dojo? They are very educational too.
17:23
Danya: I know the first check a lot of you might see is Rf1
Me: *shrugs in Rh8* I didn't even see Rf1 before you said that
7:30 This is 100% my all time favorite chess analogy
Hahaha yeah I hate when this happens
Same, I loved it
Just want to give you a big thank you for this series. Yesterday I hit a 2000 rating on lichess for the first time in my life. Largely thanks to you 🙏🏻
Blitz or rapid?
@@vladinoo both
@@stephenwells1559 congrats. I am more or less stuck on 1800 on blitz. On rapid I find it quite easy to get over 2000.
Thanks!
Thanks that is very helpful and informative
Daniel is definitely the most interesting and likeable GM in modern chess
Thank you for your opinion, mr trollface

We do not deserve this legend of a man .. another great upload ! 🤟🏽
I should be asleep since 9 yet here i am, 1 in the morning watching oh my lands. Never disapointed
This is my favorite series on RUclips keep it up!
I just beat a 1740 rated player even though im currently at 1300. he did the king's indian too, your videos are so helpful thanks danya!
Also, I really enjoy your instructive content, I’ve been making slow but steady improvements since I started watching
Nice video as usual Mr Daniel and keep up the great work from ur No 1 Supporter.
You are a chess genius. We are privileged to see the inner workings of your mind.
These are amazing, honestly the best explanations I've ever seen. I started playing chess during the pandemic, just discovered your channel a few weeks ago and have added over 100 ELO because of it. Just wanted to throw a comment your way for the algorithm. Keep it up, I love having these speed runs to watch every few days, and I doubt they'll ever get old
Awesome video. Great explanations and commentary throughout. Keep up the excellent work.
When he starts talking with less than a minute left 😰😰😰lol
You the man Daniel.best educational chess vids out there.
Beautifully explained
Chess game I have ever seen in my whole life.
Thank you GM Danya
Great video!
Thank you. Your instructional video's seem to be a catalyst for improved accuracy.
Hi Danya i heard we are playing d4 openings so i would love to see the Catalan. Its my favorite opening of all time and it would like to see you play it
Yesss the goat thank you, so ready to see a ragozin game by you I need your breakdown
U're Certainly the best teacher in the World ! Thanks again 👍
This form of instruction is THE BEST!
6:31 Missed a good tactic: Bg5 allows Nxe4!
But it still drops the bishop on D7 at the end if fxe4 and qxg5
@@poopnugget7225 Qxg5+ comes with check, so for instance, after Kb1, black can play Rfd8, and the bishop on d7 is fine.
Very helpful video. I play the Kid and don't fancy being up against Danya. Good to see it from the White perspective.
Wtf 9:30 "Queen has million different squares 🤣"
For black, it's a great example of where someone is good at everything despite being down a piece, but man that king is really really sad and alone.
I really don’t understand how he’s good at everything? Even after being down a piece he still played terrible, senseless move. For example his bishop just sat there doing absolutely nothing. Taking the g pawn was terrible aswell. All the guy did was make one move threats lol. He played poorly from start to finish.
@@redr0sid210 he played surprisingly well for being down an entire piece (Danya said so as well). Towards the end you can't really blame him. Taking the g pawn doesnt particularly matter when you're gonna get mated in a few moves regardless.
The only real bad mistake he made was not seeing the threats that lost him a bishop.
If this game was against anybody else other than a GM some of that counter play probably would have worked.
I am a rookie. But I am playing KI since the beginning. It would be very interesting to see you on the other side of the board, playing KI. Thanks for the content!
I love thinking about the person on the other end of this game who is playing his/her heart out… Thinking they’re playing another 1700 and just getting slowly steam rolled the entire game🤣🤣
I commented so fast that I already blundered my queen
Dang I wanted to goto bed to get rdy for work.... Guess I'll be going in like a zombie
Wow ! amazing game and well played black
17:18 Danya: don't rush with the first check that you see
me who saw Rh8+: 🗿
My wish has been answered, a new Kings Indian Defence video
Great game. Black’s attack was very good.
I found that e5 90% wins you the game on the spot on 2000 lvl.
It's actually funny.
People want to be smart and set a "trap" by giving white an extra possibility that's bad but they just check a few moves, see that it's supposedly bad and stop.
Then they end up shocked when they get mated by move 20 because it turns out that Black really needs to know what they are doing.
I am at 2000 level and I have won every single game with e5 quickly. Definitely worth to look into if you are under 2100-2200.
Thanks for sharing
It bothers me when the clock is running out and you are calmly taking your time to explain stuff haha it's like leaning on a ledge
which is that bobby fischer game which daniel was talking at 0:53 , ??
i think this is the game ruclips.net/video/jAwSBrLk3Uw/видео.html ,
This example of world class skill is so masterful. Like watching the whales in Maui, a site of absolute beauty.
Towards the end of the game I was thinking about the idea of seeing ghosts and remaining calm when you're being attacked. Certainly a common problem for us lower rated players. Is it just a case of experience of knowing which threats are real or could you do a specific video on the topic?
A lottery ticket in a war zone. That's a gem.
Best teacher of all time
As a 900 I'm surprised I'm getting majority of these guesses right instinctively. I just have no opening database in my brain yet. I'm sure when I do I can get over 1000elo
speedrun time indeed sir
The good stuff
Daniel: It doesn't matter at this point how you decide to win. There are a million ways.
Me: lmao no yeah totally but just for fun, like, how would YOU win
You got the golden ticket
Thank you Daniel!
GM's are so fucking brutal, dayum the poor guy
thanks
Good game danya
amazing
Danya the KID slinging fast tactics
I was thinking for Black at 10:00 Qxb5 would be creative, think it just trades down though... not good at visualising tbh
does anyone know how to develop the kingside pieces in the samish?
He says it in the video 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 g6 3. Nc3 Bg7 4. e4 d6 5. f3 T
nah i meant like the kingside knight and bishop. they literally took like 20 moves to get out
@@Andreyous As far as I remember in this closed stucture with e5 you first try to clear things up with Bh6 and h4-h5 and then it depends on the way black defends, so knight to e2 and g3 (perhaps f5) or via h3 to g5. The bishop surely looks a little stupid most of the time, but at last he can go to d3 and perhaps there are chances that you can play f4 and e5 or his job is simply to stabilize the center and connect the rooks, so you can triple on the h-file. So in this closed structure it isn't really a priority to develop the kingside.
Hanging Pawns has a good video on the samisch.
If black plays an early Nd7 blocking the LSB, as shown in post-game analysis, white can play Nh3 and then Nf2 to develop the knight without blocking white’s LSB diagonal.
Gut
At 16:42 wasnt pd3 a better move for black?
White can just take with the light squared bishop.
0:56 does anybody have a link to this game ?!
I am wondering what if his opponent take C6 with bishop instead of knight, would he still go for the pawn on d6 and exchange the queens on d6 ?
16:18 what if black plays pawn to D3?
bishop takes d3
Just resign
day 28 of saying you're the best danya, thank you for the excellent content. Your stream is awesome too!
Instead of mate at the end there, I would be too excited and just move the rook again to win the queen. Still winning but mate is better of course.
Before bg6 ...would Nd4 work?
Could you possibly please play the KID as black?? I would love to learn more attacking ideas. There are times where e5 is stuffed by white or they don't lock up the center. Just different attacking ideas or lines. I play mostly sicilian or the KID and would like to strengthen my KID lines.
There are more of Danya’s vids on the KID on his channel
@@incognitobtd6187 could you possibly link it for me?
@@brandonbuckmaster3077 Look it up man I ain’t yo momma
Would love to see some KID as black :D thanks for the great free lessons.
He has alot of KID games from Black in his previous speedruns. I can't quote an exact video but it shouldn't take long to find a few games
@@that355 thanks for the heads up, will definitely check the older videos out
Defence???
I want to see him play 4 pawns attack
Play 1.c4
HI DANYA
damn this Danya guy is really good, he might become a GM one day
My twin and I are almost the same. We're Sämisch twins.
Booo
YO
4cr
4:29 my intuition told me that pawn takes is definitely better in this case that i plugged this position into an engine and i was right. so you are wrong about knight taking being the best move
First
Can I please get a match in some time I would rlly love to play u I’ve watched all of your speed runs
Wtf? Where's the speed the bullet? This is boring.. Bad for Daniel
def a closet cheater
The moves were very good, but all seemed quite human?
