Early family guy used them sparingly, while I still like new family guy. Classic family guy is timeless, I dont even think seth macfarlane writes family guy anymore, I dont know when he stopped. But he did definitely write family guy when it was at its peak. Only thing he does for family guy is record voicework for characters. (Which if you didnt know he voices brian, peter, stewie, dr Hartmann, lois dad, quagmire, sheamus, and Tom tucker). I think hes also gone on about how he wanted family guy to end at I believe either at season 10 or before it. Family guy has been cancelled twice, but it was more like when it was at its peak. It came back due to adult swim ratings, american dad was basically used to replace family guy but he got back on air so that's how he had two long running successful adult animated shows.
I love how Peter says "except for not smiling when I get my picture taken" then later at the African American league, he raises his fist with a smile, sees the camera, then drops the smile
That might be funny :-) but it is certainly not as HIGHlarious as the KRAZY fact that did you even know that even though Cleveland is depicted as a black character in the show he isn’t even voiced by a black person? I have never seen anyone else talk about it or catch on to it it’s so incredibly funny and smart cuz why would a white person ever do the voice for the black character? They let a mistake slip by
23 and Me had to apologize for false returns on its DNA tests. They lied to many white customers by claiming they had small percentages of African ancestry. They said they did this to "fight racism" by leading people to think they had DNA they didn't.
I think it was some type of joke where in the first scene he didn’t exit the theatre normally cause he saw a group of intimidating looking black people so he just left out of the emergency door.
Not to mention all the black people there are the exact same color. That’s not even true within the same family a lot of times. (True with whites as well.)
One thing that people seem to forget is that, of all Peter's friends, Cleveland is technically his best friend. In multiple flashbacks, it's been shown that Cleveland was the first one he met, then Quagmire and finally Joe. Peter felt the noticeable absence once Cleveland left, even visiting him a few times during the Cleveland Show's run. And when he finally came back, they were fighting hard to make sure they could hang out and be friends again, even through their wives didn't like each other at the time. In a show where continuity often takes a back seat to comedy, it's nice to see something like this be consistent even now.
Y’all are totally praising the character designers for doing the bare minimum. There is so many White Creators who get so much brownie points for being progressive and not a bigot lmao. This is average, and the total idea is that there is so much racial stereotypes..

I once knew a girl when I was a teenager with porcelain skin, straight blonde hair, and the most crystalline blue eyes I'd ever seen. Found out she was half black. She managed to inherit ALL of her recessive genes and none of the dominant ones. I also, as a teen, was friends with a girl I thought was mexican for years (darkish skin, black hair, dark eyes), until I warned her about a serial killer in the next town over targeting latino people, and she was like "...but I'm white, though." Boy did I have major egg on my face. Genetics are amazing. *To all the people snidely accusing her mom of cheating: No* Since making this post 2 years ago I've learned that mixed race babies coming out with only one parents skin tone happens way more than I initially thought. It's actually extremely common. I've seen light skinned babies no one would ever guess were half black and dark skinned babies no one would ever guess were half white. Genetics are strange and we still know surprisingly little about it. So appearance is entirely meaningless in those regards. Just further proof that race is is a social construct arbitrarily thrown together for the purpose of discrimination. Personality, morals, and actions really are the only things you can accurately judge people on in any meaningful way, which are things that can and do change constantly. This means literally everyone has the ability to be a good person if they try, and that's such a hopeful thing to think about.
My neighbor when I was a kid had three kids around my age. After twenty-plus years I realized her dad - the kids’ grandpa - is a black man. At least partly anyway. It doesn’t matter to me one way or the other, but it’s so weird to not even know that for so long.
Maybe there isn't much to be happy about since they've been oppressed for hundreds of yrs? During the black lives matter movement last summer, my white coworker was complaining why do they have to protest? I told him he was lucky he never had to protest since he never felt oppressed.
That part with Peter at the Comedy show was my exact experience when I was in the audience of a live taping of the Wanda Sykes show in NY (all black crowd) and a comedian ask the crow "Who watches Frasier?!" I raised my hand. Keep in mind ,IM "BLACK"🤣🤣🤣
