My wife is the good cop. She always says she tries harder to keep people out of jail than to put them in for stupid shit. She later became a parole officer or as they call it here, DCS department of community services. She always told her offenders all she wants is compliance with their parole requirements and respect as a person and she will treat them the same. She was so good to some of them that when she left the job, a lot kept calling the phone she had then looking to talk to her because their new officer was horrible. Now, on the flip side, i will just say someone she knew who was also a cop, was one of the dicks that almost killed someone with a knee to the neck and is now in jail. So do that douchebags actions define the kind of cop and person my wife and so many other good officers are? Love this video Vic.

I love ya Vic, but it's just not that simple. Can we agree to disagree and call it good? Keep making your awesome videos. Comedy, politics, the *kind* of video doesn't matter because I respect your opinion. Have a great day Vic!
I love you, Vic! And you said " time to evolve." That gives me hope. I hope we are in some sort of evolutionary thing where it gets worse before it gets better. Then, i might just be wishfully thinking.
Let me preface this by saying I'm a huge fan, I just hope I don't p!šš you off, as I don't want to be on your bad side. Also, I don't say any of this to be a real right pr**k, or killjoy, or nitpick. I do agree about how we should not generalize. I'm not a huge fan of Islam, but I would never generalize that they're all extremists/terrorists or sexist/homophobic. However, I fall prey to generalizing sometimes (sorry Republicans, you've done it to yourselves). But when it comes to police I believe it's at least half bad. I used to be very pro-cop, and previously worked as a 911 operator. Even there, I saw and heard the racism. It's called "systemic racism" for a reason. I do believe there are good police still, except if they were truly good, they would stand up and openly work to rid their ranks of the bad ones. But they don't, they just protect their own... and I feel that their being silent is being complicit. In Albany, an officer (who, aside from his normal duties, was part of a particular task force) was put on suspension or removed from that task force for pushing over an elderly man during the protests. ALL of the other members of that task force resigned from that particular task force duty in protest over the other cop being punished. They were mad that he got in trouble for knocking over, and injuring an elderly, peaceful protestor. It's not JUST racism. It's also good old fashion police brutality, arrogance and power trips, and there seems to be a trend of fascism. Now, on Insurrection Day, we saw the double standard. If that had been BLM, those rioters would've been shot dead. There were even police officers seen supporting the rioters. BUT... We did see some heroes that. We saw many of them fight for justice, and to protect the building and those working inside. So, yes, now I am torn. Maybe there is decency in their ranks.
It's simple really. I know there's good cops who do their jobs. They don't call out the bad ones. Instead, many "good" cops and unions are protecting the bad ones. Therefore they're complicit and enable the cycles of abuses by bad ones I wish the good cops would prosecute the bad ones for a change. As of today, they aren't.
Vic spitting when he talks? That tics me off? Lol😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️. Love you vic? I know I had to go there? Keep them video coming they are great? Just like you.
We've all known good cops and bad cops,Good boss's and bad boss's,Grey areas exist too if your not thinking black and white. We can aknowledge that white supremacy is an issue in all parts of state and local government but not every person is following the same agenda. People make generalizations more in a divided society because everyone is put into a class type regardless of ones subjective beliefs or intent in the experience of life. That causes a trickle down effect when you have wealthy people pulling the strings on an entire country through what it means to be a patriotic, what clothes to buy,who to vote for, what policies to vote for,how to think until we become an empty hateful product of consumerism and divisive politics.
I hear ya, Vic. I try to avoid generalisin' whenever possible; it's just bad form. However, I _do_ tend to put folks into two types. Works pretty good, too. For example: there's two types of people; those who put people into two types, and those who don't. Here's another [my personal fave]: there's two types of people; those who can draw a correct conclusion from an incomplete data set. . .
I think the big problem is our system encourages criminality while still punishing it, they really drive all types of people into scenarios that either stress them out or lead them down the road of criminal behavior. As the prison system thrives, so does the criminal trade. They need to work on treatment of the illness that lead to all this. that goes back to the days of slavery. Vic makes good points, but it's important that all ends are covered. like he said. Generalizations are terrible, and America kinda has been built on a lot of it. over the years, Meanings shift but it's the same nonsense.
Vic we need you to run for president. We need an independent moderate in there to clean up this garbage ideology from both sides reps and dems. Politics suck. My parents always told me there’s three things you don’t talk about with people : politics, religion, and race. It just divides people.
I don't hate cops. I'm just afraid of their tickets. 😜 But seriously, all the cops I know personally are pretty cool, just overworked and definitely underpaid!
Hahaha. "fix the prob". "get rid of the bad cops". Love ya vic but your oversimplifying. I don't trust police. I had officer friendly who came to my 1st grade class to teach us about the law. Ff, senior year my buddies house gets robbed an officer friendly shows up. He asked us if we had drugs in the house multiple times to the point it was fishy . Right before they were leaving he asked again. Again we said no. His response? "Too bad" "I'd have split them with you". I had an officer pull his gun on me for trying to rush my unconscious girlfriend into an e.r. after speeding to the hospital. I've seen more bad cops than good. I've had cops catch us with weed and then film us doing push ups and singing silent night an mary had a little lamb. Cops are just a gang with too much power
Yeah....I have a problem with how Italians are depicted. Take the movie, Run Silent Run Deep. Who do they assign trash detail?, the Italian sailor, Russo. And the poor guy almost drowned himself dumping the garbage.
But vick, I'm telling you you got this wrong. it's the vast majority of bad cops and very few good cops. We live in a society where a 100% of anything is virtually impossible but if we have 96% bad cops and 4% good cops I'm not going to worry about political correctness and I'm just going to say all cops are bad cops. That includes the good cops that are silent when there's bad cops in their department they are bad cops too for allowing it to take place and not say a word. As a police officer you are a public servant and protector to the community and if you don't use your platform as an officer to call out corruption and bad cops then you are a bad cop by default. It's really just that simple. Just like how seriously they take officer down to protect the brotherhood or sisterhood, we have to take it just as seriously when one bad cop ruins it for everyone and therefore every other officer should take responsibility for the one or two or 20 bad officers in the precinct. When you take the oath to where the badge that means you stand up to all nefarious actions including against your own fellow officers. I personally believe that all cops are cowards but that's my personal opinion. Let's call it an unpopular opinion but I can tell you this, the world did not come up with police brutality, defund the police, and police discrimination all by itself.
@@VicDiBitetto I know you addressed this. That's what I'm saying. There IS a reason to generalize the police because that profession doesn't operate in morality and ethical values when it needs to be moreso than other professions.
@@VicDiBitetto you are all good my brother. Trust me. Keep it up and keep up the videos. You are the best at this right now and I envy your confidence.
@ it may sound like all of those things, but the truth hurts. Do you feel comfortable around police? Driving near police? Would you be ok calling the police if you had an issue? Some people (most people) will have a different answer than you, believe it or not.
Don't spit in a rental car...convertible no less. Just joking, where are you Florida. Thanks for not showing us a picture of a thermometer. We know it's warm in Florida....
I get what you are saying Vic and not all police are bad and you can't just generalize all of them. But the actual laws they enforce are so outdated it makes them all seem pretty bad sometimes. How many cops have taken food off the plates of the families that they stopped to give a 200 ticket for a bullshit traffic offense that didn't endanger anyone around them or the person doing the traffic incident. There's no justification for that. During this pandemic with millions of people out of work how many officers were just, "doing their job" and ruined someones day, month, year, whole life for possibly no reason at all? The issue is most of the time you see police not really doing much but patrolling streets and parked on the side of the road with their scanners on. Police do a lot of things but when you see them doing majority of one thing throughout your state you wonder what they actually do other than trying to meet their quota for the month. The laws they enforce need to be updated for this day and age as not all "offenses" are created equal. And when these laws are so outdated and you have police just "doing their job," stopping someone going 10 miles over the speed limit to get home to feed their family after working a long day at minimum wage and gets served a massive ticket. That's their food money for the family, or a bill, and especially seeing it now during this job crisis in this country makes you wonder, can't they just go and solve real issues and crimes? You honestly just have to step back and take a look at our justice system with all these people who got away with crimes that they clearly did, or our jails compared to other countries like New Zealand, Denmark, Germany, and more that actually want to help these people and not just lock them up because it's a another revenue stream for the prison system. Down at the bottom you have the police that we are talking about right now who gather these people up to feed into the system while just "doing their job" . Where 75% of these "criminals" really did nothing wrong but still have to pay a hefty price. It's not just a police issue it's a justice system issue, and that's what ticks me off. I can go on and on but I do agree and disagree with you Vic. Big fan! Keep the spit coming!

If a good cop doesnt do anything about a bad one is a bad one himself

I often disagree but damn do I fucking agree Vic. Thanks for starting the day some THOuGhTS.
I love ya Vic, but it's just not that simple. Can we agree to disagree and call it good? Keep making your awesome videos. Comedy, politics, the *kind* of video doesn't matter because I respect your opinion. Have a great day Vic!
Please explain ?
I love you, Vic! And you said " time to evolve." That gives me hope. I hope we are in some sort of evolutionary thing where it gets worse before it gets better. Then, i might just be wishfully thinking.
Damn, I was starting to think the blood vessels in your temples were gonna burst. Need me to send you some decaf? Lol
Um, public sector unions.
Cop's are a bunch of really nice soldiers.
It's simple really. I know there's good cops who do their jobs. They don't call out the bad ones. Instead, many "good" cops and unions are protecting the bad ones. Therefore they're complicit and enable the cycles of abuses by bad ones
I wish the good cops would prosecute the bad ones for a change. As of today, they aren't.
Calm down my friend 🤣
I get it Vic, no one is policing our “stupid” LOL 😆
Vic spitting when he talks? That tics me off? Lol😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️. Love you vic? I know I had to go there? Keep them video coming they are great? Just like you.
Spit going everywhere lol
We've all known good cops and bad cops,Good boss's and bad boss's,Grey areas exist too if your not thinking black and white. We can aknowledge that white supremacy is an issue in all parts of state and local government but not every person is following the same agenda. People make generalizations more in a divided society because everyone is put into a class type regardless of ones subjective beliefs or intent in the experience of life. That causes a trickle down effect when you have wealthy people pulling the strings on an entire country through what it means to be a patriotic, what clothes to buy,who to vote for, what policies to vote for,how to think until we become an empty hateful product of consumerism and divisive politics.
just end qualified immunity (bet you wish you had that). that will resolve 85% of police issues.
I hear ya, Vic. I try to avoid generalisin' whenever possible; it's just bad form. However, I _do_ tend to put folks into two types. Works pretty good, too. For example: there's two types of people; those who put people into two types, and those who don't. Here's another [my personal fave]: there's two types of people; those who can draw a correct conclusion from an incomplete data set. . .
Vic, you need wipers for the inside of your windshield!
Fire men or the army
But seriously, all the cops I know personally are pretty cool, just overworked and definitely underpaid!
Tnx for generalizing.
@@VicDiBitetto I didn't say there weren't good cops. I have just yet to meet one in my 41 years

I wonder how the military knows how the personnel vote? Did they look or take a poll?
Why would you say this ? I addressed it in the video. Did you NOT hear what i said?? Or did you just hear what you wanted to hear?? Mind boggling.
@@VicDiBitetto I know you addressed this. That's what I'm saying. There IS a reason to generalize the police because that profession doesn't operate in morality and ethical values when it needs to be moreso than other professions.

My apologies. Bad day.
Great comments Vic. OOPS! 5 dislikes/haters already. Their the ones you talk of. 🤜🏼🤛🏼

The only group without imperfect people, is a group of only perfect people 🤔 if they are not perfect, they shouldn't be part of the group 😎
