Need some new Commander cards? You can get them from our sponsor Card Kingdom at www.cardkingdo...
We're back with more Throne of Eldraine commanders this week. Andrew couldn't make it to this episode's recording, so stepping in for him is Richard! I guess that means we're about to lose to another janky tribe! Here's what we've got:
Crim reminds people that Blue is, in fact, a good color, doing plenty of Blue things with Gadwick, the Wizened
Richard shows the power of Beast Tribal, smashing face with the keyword soup legendary Questing Beast
Seth is playing a "janky" version of Emry, Lurker of the Loch
Tomer hates Group Hug, but he loves Politics, so he's here to make some "friends" with Kenrith, the Returned King
Yup, Richard is indeed back with a jank tribe. Can the table shut down his pile of draft chaff, or will he somehow secure victory once again? Let's find out!
Tomer: "oops I missclicked, both words start with an F"
Seth: "I know another word that starts with an F but im not gonna say it on commander clash"
XD
I audibly laughed at that
But doesn't Gield of Guin start with a G?
Seth: "I do think anyone who plays Counterbalance needs to be punished."
Crim: "But I haven't done anything yet."
*Me* : You added Counterbalance to your deck list. Enough of a reason for me!
*meets Crim's gaze angrily*
*cycles Decree of Annihilation as punishment*
Jeez Louise oml : D
I saw Questing Beast in the title, and immediately realized the only thing a mono-green commander could mean. Welcome back, Richard.
*Sees Fractured Identity in Tomer's Decklist*
I hope he's running Phage
*Sees Tomer's first hand*
Aww Yiss
That win was *chef’s kiss* Tomer.
Sometimes I feel bad for Crim because he gets targeted so much but he really does it to himself.
I guess im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account?
I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Jalen Jagger Instablaster ;)
31:03 "I do not have combos" Tomer says, holding Phage in hand and knowing full well that he put fractured identity in his deck.
He kinda lawyered them. Tomer said that he had no infinite combos. That combo is by no means an infinite combo.
@@ms.sysbit5511 He didn't say infinite at 31:03. Tomer's more like a tax evader.
Ski Gloves it’s a good thing that at 7:09 ie in the deck introduction that he says “I stayed away from infinite combos.”
Me: *sees Questing Beast is being played.* First thought, ooh, Richard is so playing that. Then I realize Richard isn't playing this season...
Moments later (0:28) Oh! Richard! Yay! Am I going to be right?
1:46 Knew it! Richard is the only person that would want to bring a mono green deck...
Tom and jennifer would too but not that commander or theme.
This week was cool. Crim is too good at painting a target on his back Tho.
Crim: "There is one card that I really cannot wait to use with Gadwick, and it'll probably get blown up immediately as soon as I play it, so I will not speak its name."
Also Crim: "I think my favourite combo in this deck is Top and Counterbalance."
That's true, but at least he's cool about it, I mean he tries to politic his way out, but he isn't whiny or salty about it, so it's fun to watch
2:36 Man I really wish Seth would have purposefully mispronounced the card in that dub-over. I would have died.
The editor just copied Seth's audio @2:59 for the dub-over. That's funny in its own way.
Crim wonders why he always gets targeted when he brings a deck like this lol
He does not ^^
Also, great job Tomer, pulling off that particular win. That is the whole point of my Chromium deck.
I like the things like Seth Cam perspective (this is not the first video you've done this type of thing).
Let’s go Tomer. I believe in you. This is why I sub.
Not Even 5 min in and Crim already has to tell the table why they have to hate on him...
Also why Tomer miss the chance to phage kill someone...ops too soon, well done Tomer
I hope someone has brought this up on stream before. Seth should record with bring to light + panharmonicon in pioneer
Tomer you made the RUclips comment section proud
1:07:01 Oh how I wished for Richard to topdeck Krosan Grip to punish Seth here
No link to the decklists?
To Crim...NEVER GO FULL CRIM!!
I can't believe Richard isn't playing Viridian Longbow for his deathtouch, vigilance, haste Commander :P
As soon as I saw that fractured identity, I got so giddy.
The irencrag drakuseth! I've been trying to make irencrag work, and sometimes playing drakuseth turn 3 or 4 is just enough to win.
The interaction i'm trying to make work is with irencrag and fires of invention though. The turn after fires, with 5 mana you can irencrag to play finale for 10. Finale of devastation fetching a hasting 17/17 drakuseth is glorious xD
Tomer definitely deserved to win that one, mostly because everyone else got their terrible plays justly punished.
YES Tomer! I'm so proud of you!
Ah, we are blessed with a Phage kill the weekend before Halloween, truly a holiday special. Also, I think there should be some kind of penalty for those who are gonna violate the "ban" list. While I get why Seth wanted Lion's Eye Diamond and Transmute Artifact in his deck, there's still the $100 or less restriction.
They’ve always said that if it’s necessary, that it’s fine. Kenobi used LED for that very reason in Teshar. Not to mention all of the Wheels and FoWs they run. It’s a lose rule at best.
Yes I know it's a loose rule, but it does seem like an added advantage depending on the cards since the other three are followed the guidelines. Wheel of Fortune I can at least understand, since didn't have much card draw to begin with.
I mean Richard could have made the same excuse and jammed Gaea's Cradle in his deck or Tomer could have justified a different one, but they didn't. It just seems like both Seth and Crim at various times keep violating that guideline, especially Crim. Seth trying to say he's playing a janky version of Emry when he's running LED, Lotus Petal, Myr Retriever, and Scrap Trawler combo is bit of a stretch for jank and certainly has a higher power than what the other three were doing. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy both of them, but I just like to see Crim and Seth follow them better.
King and noble tribal has to be a thing at this point. I'd like a clash all the comanders are kings or queens or lords of some kind.
Tomer. Incredible. I love it. Simply incredible.
1:11:50 Seth couldve flashed in lattice and then activated disk blowing everything up XD
what i would do is sac disk, then give it flashback with emry. then after cast shimmer myr then nev disk.
veil of summer does nothing if no one is running blue or black. Drawing a card is tied to opp casting a blue or black spell.
There's pretty much ALWAYS someone playing blue or black in a 4-player commander game though.
@@5corponok yes but tommer made a statement even if no one is playing blue or black it draws a card and every green deck should play it. There r times when it's a dead card
respect to crim for bringing the aetherize this time
BIG THUMBS UP, Tomer. Fantastic.
I think Crim also played Mowu before. That was mono green and not blue/black. :)
That phage combo was awesome!!!! Kudos!
Kulrath Knight would be awesome with Kenrith's +1/+1 counter ability
Imagine playing questing beast and not playing fog tribal
Tomer if u have a Counter Spell u could have vampiric tutor for it, then draw a card and then counter the Mystic Confluence
Crim you should have make a trust with Richard when Seth betrayed you around 1:07. Instead of wasting your Tale's End on that land, you could say something like "Hey, Richard, if Tomer gies haste to all your creatures, and you attack Seth with everything right now, I can Tale's End the disc" That way Richard and Tomer get rid of a blue player, and you get a satisfaction for killing a betrayer.
1:04:15 Crim could have countered the Pact of Negation trigger for U with Tale's End and held up Aetherise mana
no, tales end was on top of deck not in hand on upkeep
kinkajuu1 oh no! So near but so far
Constant Mists with Questing Beast is some next level tech Richard (@MTGGoldfish), wish we could have seen it
Tomer I have a Kenrith political deck as well and it is super fun to play with! I even won with Happily Ever After last time I used it.
7:08 I built a kenrith deck too and didn`t realize the combo at first but: if you have 2 cost reducers for kenrith's draw effect as well as smothering tide and kenrith himself on the field, you kind of can go infinite!
Edit: And all of those are in the deck!
Kenrith Mill combo? Count me in.
Tomer: "i don't have combos"
Win playing two cards in one turn
"I don't have (infinite) combos."
I would 120% go for it if I had a chance too, great job Tomer!
Janky wins are best wins. Guts and glory!
Yes please daddy
Man gotta love that sick edit
that was the best win in commander clash history
You guys should do Pioneer commander!
Crim plays oppressive decks and wonders why he's targeted...
He's said before that the "wondering" is a joke.
Oppressive and annoying arent the same thing btw
Guided Passage in Tomer's deck 10/10 Week.
One of my favorite tutors ( :
Lol. Tomer: *Casts Tempt with Discovery"
Me the intellectual: Don't grab a land unless it wins you the game next untap
CommanderClash: everyone grabs a land.
never change lads
Who makes The thumbnail art? :0 it looks so amazing every single time!
Decklists?
The decklists are here: www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/commander-clash-s7-e6-more-of-eldraine-emry-vs-gadwick-vs-kenrith-vs-questing-beast
@@skulleeman thank you
Some people say John Stockton and Magic Johnson are Crims 2 fathers as that is the only possible explanation of this mans 99 assist rating
Has seth never seen tempt with discovery? There is a reason I had to pull it from most decks I run, it is basically never correct to be tempted, you always regret it really quickly.
There is a non-verbal agreement that everyone who does fetches a strip mine.
@@cloaking111 Ouch
Snowbasics are not strictly better,
SNOWISLANDWALK!
Rip the one week I didn't watch the end card they announce viewer submitted decks and I miss the deadline. Missed the past 3 submission deadlines for it.
I missed at least 8
If Tomer was going to get 2 basic lands out of Tempt with Discovery anyways. Why didn't he just pick up the fetch lands, to get those basic lands for deck thinning?
Its so frustratingly painful seeing Tomer punting away like 4 mana each turn. Someone needs to backseat game him or this curse continues O.o
*wins with a two card combo requiring 12 mana, 4 of it being black in a 5 color deck with 2 mono blue players at the table*
Anyone who dies to phage can’t be mad about it, killing the whole table with phage was just the cherry on top that made my life complete in a way that Kaldra never could
I'm the sort of commander player who, if I were tomer at 1:10:40 I'd have cast fractured identity on the counter balance just to sit there and giggle
Game 1
Tomer 5 points, first place plus first blood. Total points 17.
Seth 1 point, tied for last. Total points 24
Andrew (Richard as proxy) 1 point, tied for last. Total points 13
Crim 1 point, tied for last. Total points 14
Game 2
Tomer 1 point, tied for last. Total Points 18
Seth 4 points, first place. Total Points 28
Andrew (Richard as proxy) 1 point, tied for last. Total Points 14
Crim 2 points, tied for last, plus first blood. Total Points 16
1) O safe issue key vibrate wifi low signal 0% battery. Release DDM /051
41:26- is Kenrith read as only white and not all 5 colors? He is a 5 color Commander after all. City of brass, filter red, give taste, add 5 Mana with Bloom Tender, Coercive Portal?? Or is Tomer worried about them taking Kenrith? I feel with Tomer not mentioning it he didn't see it; however, at the same time it was probably proper to not play it.
Colour identity is weird. Kenrith's identity is 5 colours, but when he's in play, he's only white because he only has white in his casting cost.
Color identity is a homebrewed rule made to allow for more flexible commanders.
Advocate of the Beast is pretty good for Beast tribal.
can't; tomer fractured identity the intruder alarm to disrupt the combo ?
I do not see the decklists. Anyone?
www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/commander-clash-s7-e6-more-of-eldraine-emry-vs-gadwick-vs-kenrith-vs-questing-beast
Eh the turn before the nev disc tomer could have cast phage and then used the red ability on Kenrith to kill Crim. Unless he didn't see it he bluffed pretty well at his fear of Crim. Good self control I would have windmill slammed that to kill the one with counter balance. People who play that need to be taught a lesson
Tomer could have fractured identity'd any of Seth's combos in the second game and that would have stopped Seth from winning...
Crim started out playing commander clash with really annoying decks but having watched all episodes with him, it’s clear that he’s trying to play nicer. I don’t appreciate tomer’s constant prejudices towards him after seeing Crim’s growth throughout the series
Counterbalance, enough said, kill crim
Hi this is Crim, better known as Teferi.
Toothy, best boy! :)
28:04 F for repsect, friend, or foe?
But why never just Phage, Kenrith haste+tramp, pump Phage over blockers = kill a player?
No tonnes talkiing about Seth could've saved everyone with mycrosynth lattice and shimmer Myer with board wipe?
He had no mana left when Tomer cast Fractured Identity, otherwise he could've simply foiled his plans with Duplicant. That disk poping was very preemptive, however I wouldn't want to have a Kenrith on board with untaped mana.
Though decisions.
If Seth's deck has both Transmute Artifact and Lion's Eye Diamond, doesn't that break the $100 USD self-restriction?
Apparently they are starting to like good cards
They've said if it's something the deck hinges on they'll allow it
Crim actively won Seth the game the second game...didn't see double headed giant in the title
Best.
Win.
Ever.
does richard have a twitter?
i dont even think sensei's top + counterbalance is that good in edh. i dont know why he keeps playing them EVERY TIME
#TeamTrees
So much laughing at nothing.
BRING RICHARD BACK FULL TIME!
Crim please, literally no more than 5 seconds to search "oracle:illusion" on scryfall and the illusion enchantment was the third result.
o:illu t:ch
Would love to see no banned list commander. Power, crazy combos no price cap. Literally anything goes.
Maybe two decks each since the games would be so fast.
Not the channel for that. Go check out Playing with Power if you want to see sweet and quick combos.
chair tribal when?!
Man I missed Richard.
jankiest win ever?
While the Phage kill was cool, I can't help but think that it was kind of lame. It just kind of seemed like adding a two-card combo to the deck that doesn't really fit the theme of politics. It felt like that time Tomer added the Kiki-Jiki combo randomly to one of his decks as a wincon. Could just be me though.
Tbf Phage works with his commander granting haste and Fractured Identity could be seen as a political piece, so they kinda fit the deck.
He is winning by GIVING everyone something but still getting the better end of the bargain. It is a perfect fit for the theme of his deck!
Easily on theme if you think about it.
Tomer is the best
I guess Richard is not gone after all?
No one's ever really gone.
@@coreysierchio4650 Jake is though.
@@jasonkorf7700 Did Jake pass away? I heard he was hospitalized awhile back. Well, his spirit lives on with Phage.
@@coreysierchio4650 No he didn't pass away, but I think he's retired from streaming though.
YESSSSS!!!!!!!
LED is on the "soft banned" list of any card >100$ in paper. I don't think it would have had much of an impact on these games but Seth should be disqualified!
Ignore it. I'm sure everyone else will.
Oops I had a brain fart and thought I was texting someone lol
i love how easy this is to watch....
u.u... *legit depressed about this*
Hexproof triggets Crim.. so bogles send Crim to the corner talking to himself..
Good.
Tomer should read Veil of Summer again. It doesnt draw a card if not a blue or black spell was cast...
*It only draws a card if a blue or black spell is cast.
@@PalPlays actually it is "an opponent has" but is cast but "is" is as wrong/right as was here....
@@Karonar I'm more correction your wording than the meaning of your statement. Your grammar is illegible.
@@PalPlays "I'm more correction your wording"
That really hurts....
Crim, if you were actually not sure why everyone was targeting you in that game, Commander might not be the format for you... you don't get to play Counterbalance and act all innocent!
He has said before that he's joking when he says that.
The false familiar famous doctor electronmicroscopically wish because archeology timely load pro a brave wind. discreet, internal relative
week after week, Crim makes me never want to play magic with him. look, play what you want man, but possibly consider not playing douchebaggery decks once in a while. there's 4 people at the table trying to have fun, not just 1.
