Cristi M I started working for germanys biggest sportscar magazine. Hard to make time for my own channel but I will try to improve that for 2017:) Merry Xmas!
Great video, as always Guido. I really enjoy all the new technology but as an owner of a 1987 3.2 Carrera, I think the mechanical feel of the older air cooled versions is still something special. So, nice to see you driving a 911 from that era. All the best with your new role. Cheers from Canada!
So glad to see you coming back! And the fact that you made friends right in your hometown is just rewarding. Sometimes life if full of surprises, isn't it?
Beautifully shot video, Guido. And, lovely 911. I agree with you completely about the feel and character of these older cars versus the new ones with all the tech. We miss your work but hope you are doing great.
Exactly what I was wishing you start reviewing. Great video. Hope to see more from the air cooled age cars on your channel. Basically if it was a coupe it would be perfect.
Which is precisely why I would like to get your take on it. I bought a 2013 TTRS+ 6MT based on your review. It's great. The mainstream press did not love the car, but you did and I think you were spot on for back road spirited driving. Now the mainstream press is saying what an improvement the new car is over the original TTRS. I wonder what you will think of it....
Personally, I've always preferred the G-Series (esp. late 80's) and the 993 over the 964 but this is still a wonderful car by any means. Thanks for the awesome video!
Like your reviews very much. What reviews are in your future plans. Golf R FACELIFTED mk7.5 manual and or DSG 7 speed. Audi RS3 facelifted and compare with above.
Sehr schönes und atmosphärisches Video. Hab zuerst gar nicht geschaut von wem es ist und war direkt auf fullscreen :P Ich hoffe dir geht's gut. Schön wieder was zu sehn. Grüße
Awesome video Guido and it's great to see you post on here still! Your editing and filming is right up there with Petrolicious now too buddy, really well done! This car seems to fit what you like in 911s perfectly. When will you be putting one of Michael's 964s in your garage?? :)
Thanks Matt ! I appreciate you checking it out, was a chance I couldn't resist to take :) Given my access to press cars and long-termers I hardly drive my BMW these days, not even on the weekends. And a car like this is about as much as a new 991 ;)
Guido another fantastic review....been a fan for quite some time! My question is: If you had your pick of the bunch with the current car range from Porsche what would you pick and why?
Thanks Gary ! 911 R and Cayman GT4 aside, I struggle. The new Carrera doesn't excite me engine-wise. I love the 911 Turbo / S engine character way more. It's also the only 911 of the range where I appreciate having a PDK transmisson ( what I said in my review from 2013 remains true in this respect). The Cayman and Boxster aren't too bad I think, despite their odd sound. They deliver their power in a more exciting way than the 3.0 Carrera Turbos, I think. And if you've seen my Macan Turbo review, you know my love for this car. So yes, Turbo and Macan Turbo would have to be my favs right now. - Guido
I started working full-time for Auto Bild sportscars, germany's largest sportscar magazine. You can check out their channel to see some more videos from me. The 991.2 and 675 LT Spyder are subtitled :)
TheGetawayer Yeah, just watched your review of the new 911 Carrera at Auto Bild. Have to agree with you, driving Porsche's is like playing and instrument and now some of that enjoyment is gone with the turbos.
Thanks you ! Yes, I started working for Auto Bild sportscars. You can check out their channel to see some more videos from me. The 991.2 and 675 LT Spyder are subtitled :)
Thanks for the great video, interesting story and a well done production all around. Would you ever consider reviewing an E86 BMW Z4M Coupe, I would like to hear how you would feel about driving one.
Love your videos. You've been missed big time pal. Another beauty produced. Have you any plans of doing the 2016 RS4 soon at all? Hope you have been OK during your absence. Keep it up 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks ! Well, I'm sure I will drive it at some point now that I work for Auto Bild sportscars, one of germany's biggest magazines. But filming it for my own channel probaly not
I think it's the mix of having something that still looks classic but also brings you the possibility to have awd. Michael actually prefers the Carrera 4. Check out the Petrolicious film to hear all his thoughts :)
Hi Guido, fan from the UK. Will you be posting regular videos on this channel or are you restricted because of your new job. Have missed your content. Will try and find the autobild site as well
Thanks Alan ! Getting press cars as a freelancer always was a pain. That's why people like Chris Harris or me started working for bigger media. You can check out my Instagram and ask me about the cars I'm driving for Auto Bild, which are many many many :)
Glad to get your feedback, my friend ! I've driven a 72 RS, 81 Turbo, 964 RS, 993 RS Clubsport and a few others and the older cars really do excite me more. It's just different driving. Mind you the new Turbo S wins all our comparisons at Auto Bild sportscars for very good reasons :)
Yes, thank you ! Well, I started working full-time for Auto Bild sportscars, germany's largest sportscar magazine. You can check out their channel to see some more videos from me. The 991.2 and 675 LT Spyder are subtitled :)
+TheGetawayer I know Auto Bild, we are neighbours, Im from Poland. Im going to have to look into that. Glad that everything is fine :). Congratulations on the job, it must be great :).
I'm working full time for Auto Bild Sportscars now, but when I find a nice car to film ( I actually really want to film a manual Ferrari) for the TheGetawayer, I will :)
Porsche, was promoting the LTD ED "911 R" using words like "purist". Just because it comes with a manual transmission and is 200 pound lighter than the 911 GT3 RS (yet slower). When really a true "purist" should be driving a 911 like this 964 AIR-COOLED or a modified SINGER 911. In mint condition. Cars like this are TRUE 011s. If you can afford a Singer 9111. Any idea how much this 964 goes for today $? Yes, more air-cooled 011's!! :) Thanks for bringing us this video.
Nice to see there are people like Manufaktur in Germany and Singer in the US who take pride in restoring the 964 to a point better than it was new. Maybe one day you could travel to California and test drive a Singer restored 964 and make a video about it. I'm sure you'll think it's worth it. Then compare it to the 964 restored by Manufakur 964. :)
Singer struggles to make their cars street legal here in germany. I'm sure their cars are great. This car here is using less custom work and mostly original Porsche parts. I appreciate both approaches :)
TheGetawayer I do too. Wish I could afford either one. I know there's another German 911 restoring company called Kaege. Might be restoring 911 964's or 933's to the same extent. Nothing drastic like Singer going so far as to redo the bodywork in carbon fibre. As I said THESE (964/933) are the TRUE "pursuists 911's not the recent 911 R. :) Porsche has unfortunately become too much about making money more than focusing on making "the best sports cars" money can buy. 991.2 are still great compared to other cars today but lack the character that "made 911's true 911's". MUST be air-cooled IMHO. :) Hopefully you can do more videos on 964's or on a 933. :)
***** Exactly8 Their just a little greedier than most other car companies. Because there are so many 911's models being sold every model year. No other company has so many versions of one model. Porsche just revamped their GTS models. :) And "soon" they will be introducing the 2017 911 GT3 and then the 911 GT2... They make arguably the best balanced sports cars around. I'm a HUGE fan. But, putting otu 20+ 911 models every year??
Porsche didn't offer me a press car back in 2015. I've driven one at a magazine test just like the 911 R. If an owner offers his car, I will of course film it :)
Good to see you back!Keep them coming!
Thank you !
where have you been Guido? you don`t upload something for a very long time!
Cristi M I started working for germanys biggest sportscar magazine. Hard to make time for my own channel but I will try to improve that for 2017:) Merry Xmas!
Best German reviewer ;)
TheGetawayer hey man how's work going if your posting vids elsewhere for the mag let us know ok
Great video, as always Guido. I really enjoy all the new technology but as an owner of a 1987 3.2 Carrera, I think the mechanical feel of the older air cooled versions is still something special. So, nice to see you driving a 911 from that era. All the best with your new role. Cheers from Canada!

You are so right, Max :) Thanks !
I hardly write comments, but just want to say it's great you're back. Keep on uploading Guido, you have a lot of fans!
Thanks Harry ! It's abit of a time problem now, but check out Auto Bild sportscars here on YT, where I uploads clips regulary :)
So glad you are back! Great return with cool video of this Porsche. What a car...
Thanks Nick !
Beautifully shot video, Guido. And, lovely 911. I agree with you completely about the feel and character of these older cars versus the new ones with all the tech. We miss your work but hope you are doing great.
Good to see you back Guido...and with this beautiful Manufaktur 964. Great! Thx Guido.

Exactly what I was wishing you start reviewing. Great video. Hope to see more from the air cooled age cars on your channel. Basically if it was a coupe it would be perfect.

Colour of the car is great.
I discovered your channel last night and immediately subscribed. Great content with some amazing cars being reviewed.
Thanks Dennis !
You can tell how good the quality of the video is when the dislike rate is less than0.5%. really like your reviews, shout-out from LA;)
This is such a high quality film. Well done!!!
Thanks !
Good to see you back Guido. Would love your take on the new TTRS.
Not too excited about it since it only comes with a DSG now :(
Which is precisely why I would like to get your take on it. I bought a 2013 TTRS+ 6MT based on your review. It's great. The mainstream press did not love the car, but you did and I think you were spot on for back road spirited driving. Now the mainstream press is saying what an improvement the new car is over the original TTRS. I wonder what you will think of it....

Triumphant return in an amazing Porsche.

Great tips in this my hero. Good to have back mate.
I appreciate it !
Great review as alway, buddy! Keep up the good work!

This car is even more enjoyable with the rooftop down, the most rewarding cabrio out there.

Welcome back, i am really happy, if you can review AMG GT-S please this will be great.

Charismatic vid and car ! Cool 😀👍
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it !
That sound!! Awesome video, I really enjoyed it! :-)
Glad to hear that, thanks !

Been to long bud. Thanks for another great review, keep up the great work.
Thanks Chucky ! Glad you enjoyed the video !
Gratulation zum neuen Job!
Danke! Bin ja nun schon länger bei Auto Bild Sportscars :)
Welcome home. You've been missed! 👍
Thanks Jason!
where have you been mate? such a long time
I started working full-time for Auto Bild sportscars, germany's largest sportscar magazine. You can check out
their channel to see some more videos from me. The 991.2 and 675 LT
Spyder are subtitled :)
TheGetawayer Yeah, just watched your review of the new 911 Carrera at Auto Bild. Have to agree with you, driving Porsche's is like playing and instrument and now some of that enjoyment is gone with the turbos.
+TheGetawayer the getawayer dnt need some autobild...
its a lot "bigger" than that,
hm😤
Video was worth the wait!
Thanks Tom !
This car is timeless perfection
Fantastic video!
Thank you very much !
You mentioned the radio. I prefer a radio in all my cars especially when taking a long road trip.
Good to see you back. Do they have the webpage in English?
Sorry, not available yet
Great video. Long time no see.
Thanks you ! Yes, I started working for Auto Bild sportscars. You can check out their channel to see some more videos from me. The 991.2 and 675 LT Spyder are subtitled :)
TheGetawayer that's great, wish you good luck. For sure I will check out :)
TheGetawayer
Thanks for the great video, interesting story and a well done production all around. Would you ever consider reviewing an E86 BMW Z4M Coupe, I would like to hear how you would feel about driving one.
Appreciate your postive feedback Doug ! Thanks ! - Guido
I hope Auto Bild pays you well Guido! Love your work!
Thanks !"
Perfection...well done
Thanks Casper !
perfect is an understatement for this car
Hankook tyres eh? How did they feel?
And, as other have said, good to see a new video from you Guido!
Thanks ! Not the biggest fan of those, but the car has the wheels from the 965 Turbo, so maybe the size is hard to find. I don't know
welcome back
Thanks !
But filming it for my own channel probaly not
TheGetawayer thank you. Do you have a link so I can keep aboard please with you?
Just search for Auto Bild sportscars or use the link on my channel that leads directly to it :)
Great video. 👍👍👍
Thanks !
Of course this is a great video, like all of your's. Still, would like a video on the 718, and M2 as well as the 2 series. Where have you been?
I've driven both new 718s and the M2. There's a german M2 review on the Auto Bild Sportscars channel, the magazine that I work for now
TheGetawayer think I need to learn "German" to properly understand
David Feuerhelm
Your last name is german, I thought you do :) Well the 675 LT Spyder and 991.2 are subtitled :)
My last name means "fire helmet" in German I think. Need to travel to Germany again. I was there briefly back in "13.
Top job Guido!
Thanks buddy !
Great video! Love it!
Thanks !
good to see you. fantastic and lovely car. how much is the fish? ;) ok...i'm checking out the homepage.
Thanks ! Just depends on the base car and how many modifications you need. I would say about as much as a new Carrera S without options
Agh what a great surprise to see you back! Haven't even watched the Video yet either. 😎
Hope you like it John !
Missed your reviews. And youtube is not helping, not showing your videos. This Porsche is my dream car.
Thanks Wim !
Great review!
Oh, also, what is your thought on the 964 versus other classic models? Why did Michael focus on the 964 model?
I think it's the mix of having something that still looks classic but also brings you the possibility to have awd. Michael actually prefers the Carrera 4. Check out the Petrolicious film to hear all his thoughts :)
Hi Guido, fan from the UK. Will you be posting regular videos on this channel or are you restricted because of your new job. Have missed your content. Will try and find the autobild site as well

He's Alive!!
YES :D :D
Hi Guido. Will you review the new gen 2 Audi TT RS? I'm already looking forward to your review :)
brightbluesmurf Since it doesn't come with a manual I'm not very excited about the new TT RS:/
I have a '73 911 and a '97 Turbo S. They are both more fun to drive than my '15 Turbo S. Not nearly as fast or competent. Just more fun.

+TheGetawayer I know Auto Bild, we are neighbours, Im from Poland. Im going to have to look into that. Glad that everything is fine :). Congratulations on the job, it must be great :).
u should do english videos for auto bild
In your opinion if you were to choose between a BMW m4 or a 991 S , 2013 which would you pick ?
Any idea what cup/exhaust system is used in this 964? Sound is amazing. Is it a Techart one?
I think it was Porsche OEM, just really well used with hardly any cat left😁
Clearing out my subs and realized that it's been almost a year. Still keeping you subbed...
I hope you'll come back and continue doing car reviews : ).
I'm working full time for Auto Bild Sportscars now, but when I find a nice car to film ( I actually really want to film a manual Ferrari) for the TheGetawayer, I will :)
Oh I see!
Perfect job for you then. Getting paid to do what you love...nothing like it : ).
i wish i could live in germany and hoon those beautiful forest roads.
Come and visit !
Hey, you haven't posted anymore videos, i hope everything all right
Finally!
:D
great vid
nice to see a vid with a modded 930..please oh please
A friend of mine owns an all original 930. Might film it next spring

Love it!
Thanks !
I have a Pavlovian response to these sounds.
Dude where have you gone??
->> Auto Bild Sportscars
Do you think you'll ever get your hands on a 911R?
I've driven it for Auto Bild sportscars and wrote about it. There's some video footage on their RUclips-Channel :)
can you review Golf GTI clubsport S?
They are rare, could be hard to find one
Was kostet so ein wunderschöner Wagen?
When are you going to review the GT3 RS?
Porsche didn't offer me a press car back in 2015. I've driven one at a magazine test just like the 911 R. If an owner offers his car, I will of course film it :)
TheGetawayer i would love offer you mine but I am in New York.
What is the COST of a full restoration??????? ????? ???? Thanks
Check with the company please
Haleluja...... it was about f...ing time......
Hahahah :D
