West Midlands Metro: Black Country Valley extension on Sunday 30th June 2024

On Sunday 30th June 2024, we travelled to Dudley, Flood Street and covered the new Black Country Valley metro extension as far as Great Bridge and noted how far this extension has developed since our last visit.
Work is really coming on now with track in place all the way from Flood Street to the Very Light Rail Innovation Centre and much more work has been completed along the rest of the route to Great Bridge.
By far and away the biggest development is the erection of the new "Hanson's Bridge" across Birmingham Road.
The Black Country Valley extension has really developed and looks to be much more on track to open soon.
