Yes. But they wouldn’t risk flying it. The chances of failure or malfunction is so little, but they wouldn’t want to take that risk, so they won’t attempt to fly it.
@@suburbandystopia4130 Don't joke about stuff like that. Regardless of if you think the bombing was justified or not, over 100,000 thousand people died. We should all hope that circumstances never arise where something like that has to happen again.
Such an iconic warbird should be on display for decades to come. It is nice to know that "Doc" and "Fifi" are once again flying! Maybe more B-29s will be restored to flyworthy condition.
Well, they left off the controversy of displaying the nose and cockpit in the main Air & Space Museum in 1995 for the 50th anniversary, as well as the consequences to Hiroshima. I guess this is the kind of video the veterans' groups wanted: no victims, no questioning the necessity of dropping the bomb, and no talk of the Cold War from 1945-1991.
A country that had attacked us first and killed 2,400 people for also just existing. You smack someone, they tend to smack you back harder. Cause and effect.
we went to this museum its a 10/10 for sure
She's a *beautiful* bird! There were many just like it in the UK during the 1948-49 Soviet surface blockade of Berlin.
She is not a bird she is a plane
@@arns6812 “no”
But no matter if it was beautiful, it still took alot of people to the heavens.
bird of death@@arns6812
I love the B29 , many of my fellow Brits will no doubt prefer the Lancaster , but the Boeing was a new generation.
Good to know the greatest B-29 is still alive
But could it still fly i heard that only fifi and doc where air worthy
@@dwaynethemineraljohnson412 I can't imagine it could, because there's no way you could even find pilots that are alive that know how it works.
the name says it all
When you say perfectly restored does that mean it is airworthy
Yes. But they wouldn’t risk flying it. The chances of failure or malfunction is so little, but they wouldn’t want to take that risk, so they won’t attempt to fly it.
Gotta make sure it’s ready to give japan a reminder
There are 2 other airworthy B-29s though
Doc and Fifi

@@Obi-Wan_Kenobi shit made me laugh lmao
Beautiful aircraft all polished up… with such a contrasting history
I saw that aircraft in the Smithsonian. It gave me the creeping heeby-jeebies.

Some day I hope she can fly again. As a reminder. To get peace, sometimes, it takes violence.
Shes airworthy, they just wont take the risk. Maybe when the world ends, ill meet you there bro. We'll give it one final flight. 🤙

Very informative thank you :)

Seeing this plane while playing that Kingdom of predators OST of HxH will be a perfect match
IT'S NEVER EVER GONNA FADE AWAYYYYYYYYYYY!
Protect that treasure at all cost, it saved the world that day

So what? It’s largely a technical video on the aircraft and its whereabouts over the decades. Plenty of other videos out here covering all that.
The definition of "I have won but at what cost?"
Enola gay
Originally the B-29 didn't have the capacity to hold "little boy",only the Lancaster did!
Makes me sick to think how many people it’s killed
My dad was there to watch it take off for Hiroshima.
That's Enola Gay AF!
This plane dropped a bomb that killed almost 150,000 people in one day
Just one bomb
It is only a plane, dont hold a grudge against a plane.
Right ,I saw the look on the planes face 😂. It snickered after it did that .

When gay actually meant "happy" instead of the garbage pushed nowadays

I'm surprised that the democrats haven't demanded that the plane be dismantled and destroyed.
It's a part of history, it shows the horrors of nuclear weapons and why we should never use nuclear weapons ever again.
