I guess I'm a kenophile because I love the idea of seeing places with no people in them that usually have a lot of people. There's something about being the only one there that gives me a feeling of freedom to do whatever I want. It's weird
The basement of my dads church was like that, I went down there once and it was just unsettling seeing tables that normally have a lot of people in them but are just all empty seeing that it was just me down there, my dad eventually came down looking for me and he scared the crap out of me when he came down and I think that’s why I have kenophobia now lmfao
I woke up in my bedroom. My body ached and I was drenched with sweat. Oddly enough, all the lights were on in my room, and it was pitch black outside. The only sound I could hear was my own lungs gasping for air. I couldnt remember if I had a nightmare or not, all I knew is I wanted out of it. I decided to see if my parents were still up. I when down the stairs and got a glass of water then headed to their room. As I passed through the winding corners of my house, I saw that all the lights were on again, so it wasnt just my room. There was complete and udder silence. It was strangely peaceful. I went into their room only to find that neither of them were in bed. Yet the T.V. was on. It only showed static. My heart skipped a beat and I started to feel a sense of dread come over me. That's when I finally heard a faint sound. It almost sounded echoed, like it reverberated throughout the whole house. It wasnt a human voice or anything ive ever heard before. It had an unnerving dissonance it it, like something trying to calm me, but inevitably revealing that it's trying to warn me. That's when all the lights cut out. But the sound was still there. This odd almost groaning sound was barely audible as I explored the house further. My chest felt locked the whole time as this sound never dissipated or changed notes. With almost no light in the house except for the little slivers of moonlight shining in through the windows, I spent what felt like years traversing my house, with an uneasy feeling. A feeling that something was watching me, knowing my every move. Yet I couldnt see it. If something was there, it knows my house more than I do. The place that felt so familiar to my whole life now felt distant and mysterious. Once I made my way through the whole house, the sound stopped. My relief was short-lasting, knowing that if something is in the house with me and my parents are gone, the only place left to go was outside. The mist outside was thick and blinding, obscuring much of my vision to even see for any potential threats that lie beyond it. With one deep, shaky breath, I stepped outside and instantly the sound started again. This time it sounded as if it came from the very ground I walked on. I looked out to let my eyes adjust, but they then settled on something in the fog. Eyes were looking right back at me... Cold, dead, piercing eyes shot right through mine. I screamed, but no sound came out. I was frozen in that stance as the creature from that dense cloud retreated into the night...
I continued the story for you + ending Warning: bad english I tried hard to scream, but I can't. I'm sured I opened my mouth, but no sound of scream can be heard. It's like my vocal cords are being torn, but none of the pain can be felt. It's just me, frozen in the space. I tried telling to myself that this was just a nightmare. The creature is getting closer to me, and finally it revealed it's own bony body. I tried tracing back my steps, but as I was frozen still, I can't. Finally, the creature openee it's jaw so big that it can devour ten people. The moment when it tried to devour me, I heard my parents calling me. They asked me if I was OK, then I found myself back in my room. I tried recalling what happened to me, but the memory was washed away. But thankfully everything's a dream...
