  • after working on these jeep Cherokee's for 3 years during my career with Chrysler I can honestly say that these vehicles come riddled with issues, its only a matter of time before these issues pop up one after another after another after another after another.
    -Flex pipe's (Breaks)
    -Oil cooler (Leaks oil)
-Injectors (stop working, usually cylinder 3)
    -Vent temperature sensors (Malfunction)
    -Wheel Bearings (Wear out)
    -Brake rotors (normal rusty rot)
-Lower front ball joints (Pre-mature wear on early production models)
    -Radio Faults (Software issues)
-Lights and Messages on the dash like you've never seen before
    -Rear shock absorbers (blow out)
-RDM (Rear drive modules fail and set fault codes)
-Buttons in the steering wheel go dead
I'm sure i'm missing 50 more things that go bad on these but you get the point.

I gotta whole list of complaints... my belt burnt up my ac compressor. Oil leaks, exhaust flex broken, as u mentioned, my radiator hose blew at the seam and had to eventually get new radiator 3 of the 6 rods or rockers needed replaced. Start/stop never has worked. Rains from my interior light & from rear speakers. Oh and the service 4wd light comes on & off. I got taken at the used lot & I still owe on it. DONT BUY ONE! IT LOOKS NICE BUT CANT PAY FOR IT IF U Can't drive it to work.

2015 Jeep headlights don't seem to last long low beam.

2015 jeep cherokee. Bought at 50k miles, at 100k today. fixed so far... Shifter, (problem happend again after replacing "service shifter light") battery, alternator, all spark plugs, all ignition coils, all break pads, all rotors, all tires.. Next on the list, I have a coolant leak. and the start stop doesnt again work after dealer fixed it. Cars paid off.... keep or sell? lol

190,000 miles. Latitude 3.2L. Beside wear and tear items. Only issue is I had to replace the radiator at about 150,000 miles

Ive owned my 2015 jeep cherokee for 4 years the ticking in engine had to deal with that. I also had to deal with one front wheel bearing along with the catalytic convertor being clogged so my check engine light came on. Replaced both rear wheel bearings and i believe after hauling my camper first time i had to replace one back shock.

142K, no probs except for the screwy transmission in low gear is jerky, sometimes feels like engine will die, but then it doesn’t, last I heard, it’s a computer issue that’s unfixable

My 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude only has 44,861 miles on it and is extremely well cared for. My drivetrain needs to be replaced at the cost of $1,600 for the parts and labor is extra. I paid more to buy a Jeep because they are "suppose" to last long and be a superior SUV.......guess what, not true.

  • @LasharneDunlap

The radiator goes to you. You have to change it every two years.

Service 4wd (PTU - Power Transfer Unit Failure)

  • @tracyblasser1973

PTU (Power transfer units) commonly fail. Will set a C14A17-97 code in the DTCM. (Drivetrain Control Module)

Australia - spare parts for Jeep are cost prohibitive , small problems become expensive problems unless fitting non-jeep after market parts. eg HID headlight bulbs blow like crazy and Jeep wants $400 each genuine bulb. Non genuined voids warranty. genuie turns out to be phillips bulbs. Eventually, i fitted non standard LED bulbs which work a treat.

I just bought one. My 2010 Grand Cherokee has been decent to me, so I figured I would give this guy a shot. Same dark blue as my 2010 Grand Cherokee and both are very sharp vehicles. I had a friend with one that put close to 160k on it from new over 6 years and no problems. Figured it was a safe bet and heard the Pentastar motors were improved in these model years (2014 and up). Disappointed in hearing the rocker arm issue was not resolved. Guess I will have to pay out of pocket as soon as I suspect it's faulty. So far, it is quiet and idles smooth. I did not know these were based off of a Dart. We owned a Dart from new and it almost caught fire due to a harness issue. We were able to get good money on trade though, but I don't think I would have bought it if I known it was off the Dart body. My guess is the harness is different and shouldn't be an issue apart from what you mentioned, but the "No Start" issues you mentioned are familiar with the Dart.

Hey brother, great video. Not sure if it's common or not but my wife's 2015 Cherokee blew a heater hose fitting. Top of the motor, driver side, hard plastic 90° just split in half on the freeway. Jeep had less than 100k miles. Found the part cheap on Amazon

  • @off-roadingexplained8417

What about the backup camera and all the lights on the shifter turning red and are those two things related

  • @Vivianauxito

Great video buddy. Are you open to doing any product review that related to Auto led lighting? We would like to arrange to have our product shipped for doing that.

  • @cutactiontake9

2019 jeep Cherokee where do you buy the ball joints without having to buy the whole steering knuckle?

  • @FlackerMan

The PTU on my 2015 failed while on vacation. Apparently those are such a problem that the warranty on them was extended to over 100K miles

2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude great !!

  • @derrickmiller3562

2015 Latitude, PZEV 2.4 4 cylinder: Fog lamps go out quickly, wheel speed sensor fails, front wheel bearings go bad. Front brake rotors warp and cause car to shake when braking.
