Hello, my seats are clean but there is a slight smell in the mornings, i think i want to go next level with the steamer. What type you recommend? I am located in EU and not US. Thank you
I'll have to pick up one of those steamers. Definitely clean your car people, no need to finance a new car if your issue is really with the stained seating.
Dish soap can often leave what people call "water stains" on certain fabric or carpet seats. I explain in the video why it's best to use an all purpose cleaner. Or specifically a shampoo for car interior. Dish soap can be used on some surfaces. But you get better results with an APC.
@@jonathonhasling4295 water stains can be tough. I find the best method is to actually just extract the seats. But if you don't have an extractor. An all purpose cleaner and a wet/dry vac to "extract" the water out also works well. Every material can be different.

Hey Carlos, I spilled the juice from some food in my trunk a while ago and the smell still kind of lingers and I was wondering how you would get the smell out?
Sorry I missed this, if the smell still lingers. Try leaving coffee grounds in wherever the smell is the strongest for a day or so. Gets rid of smells, an old detailing trick!
@@carlojoseph5858 Baking Soda helps absorb and neutralize odors if left on upholstery and carpet for a few days. Bacteria is the reason for the terrible odors.
Hi, You probably won't see this, but I was gifted a 2014 Nissan Juke with cloth seats, I was told all purpose cleaner takes off the fabric protectant? Is there a way to restore it? A way to protect the seats in the long run?
There are many protectants available in most detailing sections of large stores. However, I have found that APC doesn't take off fabric protectant any more than time will.. so either way it comes off :(
Normally I'd just go about steam cleaning it. Because it is so sticky. However when I don't have steam I use goo gone (automotive) for those sticky gums and food situations on seats. I have a video where I reference the goo gone automotive in this video - ruclips.net/video/RlHtIbmD-SI/видео.html
Use RUBBING ALCOHOL and a toothbrush to scrub the sticky away after peeling as much of the gum away as possible. Ice will make the gun hard enough to pull off with tweezers or needle nose pliers.
Mr. Joseph, thank you for the nice presentation. I have a dilemma, and I hope you see this comment. I have a car with light tan seats, and I have a few stains, believe it or not, some were caused by me trying to clean stains with water, but it caused even more stains. I do not have fancy equipment. Is there a chemical that I can buy at a local auto parts store to help get my stains out. The detail shop wanted $165 to do it. I don't have that kind of scratch. Thank you and to others who may have ideas. BMM

My seats aren't stained, but the fabric is hard and matted. How would you clean fabric to make it soft again? It seems like the previous owner used dish soap to clean them.
I spilt apple sauce and use turtle wax which was recommended to me and I have a huge stain now. And before I had a who cream stain as well and used a leather seat cleaner by mistake. What would you recommend

Exactly what you said Joanne, you most likely need to have it detailed. Aside from the smoke smell they can properly and professionally disinfect it for you much better than you could at home because of their tools and experience.
No need to put it into the steam cleaner. Just use a microfiber towel with an APC and wipe down before and even after steam cleaning. The hot water in the steam is more than enough.
Hot water is great, but you might not be able to see the water\soap damage after time from the cars that you are reselling using that soap on! Thats when actual detailers have to fix the mistakes down the road..
