Hi, Your techniques and instruction are first class, really impressed with you and your assistant. Cheers, from Tom Scott, Shinji-Ru Karate, Manchester, England, U.K..
@@holgerdanske8935 It was a INSTRUCTIONAL DEMO, if it was done at speed the first strike would cripple the opponent. Have you ever been in a real situation, thought not.
@@manugogo2 I never mentioned anything about any demo ! I only commented on the guy doing the talking and his omm ahhh after every word, made me turn off, while you were standing still, ie before you even moved, so I dont understand your reply.
Could you do that in the octagon while someone's feet are dancing and they are throwing punches while not so much static stances. You have great material, and great techniques, But the cane should be used as a reality street defense tool, and it should smash bone. I've never been attached by someone in a traditional front stances with the reaction hand to the waist. Just an observation and not a criticism..
Thanks for your feedback, it's just a foundation to build off of, like most traditional martial arts, its a way of practicing distance, timing, and application of the techniques. We all know that no one would punch in or attack like that on the street or in an octagon, we practice sparring type attacks with the cane to give it a more realistic approach
note My comment was placed at the cell phone defense video I hope I dont have to post it in more than one spot hope you can read it and or view if you have spare time thank you
Every cane video I have seen and even live demos in class are WAY too convoluted and downright awkward, slow and strange. If your aim is to have the attacker stand there and die of boredom or double over in laughter, well.....
Canes are a very useful weapon as they are allowed anywhere and very unassuming, but these techniques are... bullshido The best thing about canes is that they can help you create distance from a potential threat, trying to use them in the ways shown here is a ridiculous waste of time.
Respectfully...I have to say that...the sound quality makes it Impossible to listen. This is often the case with many RUclips videos. When I click on a 'Panel Discussion' video, this is usually what I hear...faint, echoy, often not understandable to We, the video viewers. I ask that you..maybe...dubb the specking portions of your videos. Otherwise, it is Useless...to the Viewers and to you, the makers/teachers. Thank you.
Hi James, thanks for your feedback, we are working on a new noise filtering system, the background noise if from the HVAC system, definitely a distraction
I really enjoyed your video.
Looking forward to seeing more.
But , I hope you picked upped the tab for the ibuprofen.

Nobody out of a dojo setting is going to step and punch that way. Nobody.
Not a cane expert but it seems to me that these are concepts. In the end, you have a readily available blunt instrument in your hands. 🤔🥹

NO FANCY TECHNIQUES. JUST SWING THE CANE TO THE ATTACKING ARM. AND THAT'S IT. BUT WHO WANTS TO PUNCH SOMEONE WHO HAS A CANE IN HIS HAND?
