Thanks for this! I needed some curtain sheers to decorate for my daughter's wedding. I need 8. I was looking at some that are $30 for two. Because of your video, I immediately ran over to Ikea and got what I needed for a much better price. Thanks!
A table runner on the bed is genius! Another tip, if you can’t find a desk you like, consider getting a dining room table instead. It’s sturdier, and there’s a better variety of sizes.
In my native language, there is only one word for desk/table. You could add an adjective to describe what purpose it surves, but people rarely do it because most furniture was multipurpose by default. As a little kid, I really struggled to understand how to differentiate between tables and desks, and to this day, all of my desks have been from the table section of Ikea 😂 Another example is cup and mug. It serves the same purpose, drinking hot liquids from, and while cup used to refer to a smaller size, the meaning evolved and these days a cup of coffee could easily be over 500 ml (16 oz) - think Starbucks 😂
Having a basket of Ikea slippers, in both sizes, in the entry way allows people to take off their outdoor shoes and boots when they come over. Inexpensive but fancy. With winter snow/slush/rain/mud it's an easy way to encourage leaving the shoes at the door. Not everyone comes over with their 'going out slippers' or wants to walk around in their socks.
Omg you.are.GENIUS!!! I ordered cloth shoe covers from Amazon that are hilariously hideous😂 _but_ washable…?! I’m allergic to literally everything they tested for except for some tree that doesn’t grow in my state haha….ANNND indoor air is generally far more polluted than outdoor air which perturbs me, lolz…one of my brothers/sisters-in-law actually got me a skinny doormat that tells peeps to take their shoes off! But now I’m going to ball out with idea slippers woohoo! Again, you’re brilliant! Thanks for sharing🥰
That’s what Koreans do, have family and guest slippers in the entryway. We immediately take off our shoes as soon as we walk in the house. I also love IKEA’s wall mount shoes storages for that reason
I appreciate the pacing of this video. While the narrator talks a bit fast, I still like that she moves quickly between topics without stringing out her points.
Hi Kiva! One of the best videos on IKEA products. Not only showing the items but showing how you use them and in different ways. I love IKEA but it can be overwhelming sometimes, as you say, so watching your video gives me great ideas and what to look for on my next visit to the store. I'll tune in to your videos often. Thank you so much! 👏👏👏😃
We have been using the waffle towels for a few months now. They are much fluffier after the first wash and they are super absorbent! They also look luxurious! Highly recommend!
Vegetable brush ➡ makeup brush mat! So smart, and a great price! (Right now I use dish gloves bc I refuse to buy some giant pink mat!) I also appreciate your recommendation on the towels - bath and hair! Added to my shopping list, Kiva, thank you as always ✨
Really enjoyed this video, mostly because you got the point on each item and didn’t drone on about its features. Lastly, you spoke in a tone that was pleasant to listen to.
I've had the curtain wire for over five years and absolutely love it!! I have sheers on it and have only had to re-tighten it once as the wire became just a bit loose. Great buy!!!!
I also love Ikea products. I had not seen 5 of the items you just showed us in this video. I truly need to go to Ikea again, take my time, slowly walk through the rooms, and try to stay informed of the staff they are selling. Thank you.
I searched IKEA on Google because I'm going for the first time in 5 years tomorrow, told Hubs I needed 2 things, big deal, next thing I know your video pops up on my feed (hmmmmm) and now I'm wondering how I'm going to ditch him and take son and a pickup truck for the additional mountain of items. IOW, LOVE your channel and all the hints, did not realize I NEEDED all this stuff!!! Naturally I subscribed and will be binging for the next 18 hours. :)
I literally ended up purchasing most of the items and looking forward to picking them up when ready😅. Thanks for sharing! I’m excited to try out using table runner hack as bed foot sheet decor cover ❤😊
The milk frother is a definite 5 ⭐️. I’ve been using it a lot lately to get that creamy latte foam without having to buy an expensive coffee maker with a steamed milk frother. Same exact results with a tiny fraction of the price.
@@kimhaas7586It's a very simple trick: you pour heated milk in the french press and make a few decisive strokes with the piston (you may want to fine tune this technique adjusting the number and length of strokes). By the way, there is a Bialetti milk frother that uses the same principle, but costs several times more. I saw milk frothers test somewhere on RUclips ant it turned out that the quality of microfoam made this way was the second best after some posh hi-tec frother for many $$$. The cheap battery powered device with a spring was among the worst.
I've just discovered you. You are a treasure. Great product highlights. Several of them are now on my list for my next Ikea trip. I've been looking for simple slippers for warmer weather and here you are. I was hesitant to purchase the battery operated frother. Your review has put it to the top of my list. Looking forward to seeing more of you.
You guys get so many more options from Ikea than we get (in Australia, but I presume there are other countries that don't get the full range). I try to avoid these videos so I don't get frustrated by it but finally gave in to this one since it kept coming up in my feed. I avoid those 'Dollar Store' videos too since everything is about 20 times the price here in Oz! ~I use table runners to cover cushions sometimes. If I find any plastic-like runners for outdoor entertaining that I like I use these to cover cheaper crates that I use as pots. ~I have a faux cowhide rug from a few years ago that I'm going to use to re-cover a dining chair (when I finally get to it). I can't believe Ikea is now stocking these. ~I'll have to look out for towels like the ones you showed. I would have thought they'd be too thin for my liking but if you say they're still absorbent I might give them a try. Thanks for all the ideas :)
Kiva, I'd love a video all about tips to achieve certain styles when the space is working against you! For example, I live in a semi-basement with very few windows but I love the japandi style. All the inspo I'm finding features huge windows (what a dream!) and I'm struggling to make my space work 😭
I'm so happy I found you on RUclips! Would you be willing to do a closet DIY with Ikea items? Our closets are the generic house builder aesthetic, and I desperately want a change but have no idea how to upgrade them myself. Your design knowledge would be valuable for this project. Thank you for your amazing content. ❤
@KivaBrent Hi! The designer's look for less would be fantastic. Both would, actually, but if I had to choose, I would go for the designer look for less 😁
I need you to be one over and just redo my whole home - thank you! 😂😂 omg I just found you and I’m happy I did! Setting up my ikea trip now- whew so glad College Park is around the corner!
The best shoe organizer is the tall Billy bookcase: I fit over 50 pairs of shoes in there, woman size 9-10. If you get it with doors, it hides nicely the mess and is the most cost effective, visually pleasing shoe cabinet you can find!

I bought #80 of those key chain, cell phone holders and gave them out to everyone for Xmas. They were loved. When I go back I'm getting more because people still ask were I got it from. I use mine everyday, several times a day.

Making my Ikea shopping list. I'm not a big fan of their wooden spoons. However, I haven't really looked at them lately. The ones i dis see were a bit bulky. I have a tablecloth across the bottom of my bed, which adds some interest but is really there for the cat hair.😂 I'll be looking at the table runners for that. Thanks for your videos.
You missed the BEST cell phone holder, the one you picked up at @13:21. It's just a block of bamboo with grooves cut in it so you can either put your phone or iPad on a table or - best or all - hold it in your hand. It's super light and flat so I just carry it in my purse and it fits in computer cases or in a bag with flat items such as papers. People who see me use it are always asking me where I got it, so I sometimes carry an extra one so I can give it away. It's that cheap! The one caveat is that it doesn't work with really thick phone cases.
Awesome list! I am addicted to IKEA. I LOVE their wooden spoons! I bought a hefty stainless 2 pronged cheese slicer with the built in blade I bought nearly 20 years ago the first time I ever set foot inside an IKEA. It is still sharp and fabulous, I don't know if they have it anymore to be honest. I have several windows covered with IKEA drapes as well as shelving units in the garage and dork den😆. My favorite is those 99cent trays. I use them as intended and as well as keep one or two in the car. We do lots of day trips on the weekend and brown bag it. It's nice to have a surface, I know that's probably weird. I even take one on road trip vacation for the hotel and it's my landing pad for all my pocket stuff that I am afraid to leave behind. It's flat so it's easy to pack and slides right into my laptop pouch or suitcase. I've had them for years. We've also had the laptop holders forever but I definitely need that wooden phone holder! YES! to coffee gear from IKEA!!! I'm all about making it at home. Milk frother for the WIN!!!
Thanks for this! I needed some curtain sheers to decorate for my daughter's wedding. I need 8. I was looking at some that are $30 for two. Because of your video, I immediately ran over to Ikea and got what I needed for a much better price. Thanks!

This is suchhhhh a great hack!

Console tables can be great too. I find they are often cheaper.
Starbucks use workers as slaves🫤🥴 When i learned about this, I stopped going there. Starbucks abuses workers in Central America.
Thats exactly what I did with an extendable Ikea table 😁
Appreciate the demos. They show functionality and versatility for unfamiliar products you're introducing. Excellent content and well presented!

Not everyone comes over with their 'going out slippers' or wants to walk around in their socks.
My nephew had a basket of Ikea flip flops near the dance floor at his wedding!
Very nice touch of hospitality! Learned this decades ago from a friend who is from Hawaii. Keeps homes far cleaner!

Love the faux fur throw rugs as chair covers!
Ohhhhhhh wow, a table runner for the end of the bed. I love it ❤, great idea.
Thank you! 😊 I always try to come up with novel ways to use affordable items!
My sewing room is mainly IKEA. i have to drive an hour to go to an IKEA. Totally worth it.
So now that I watched your podcast, I'm going to Ikea and look for a couple items you brought to my attention, Thank you for sharing....❤
Bravo! With the exception of the rugs and curtains, I NEVER would have thought to look for these items at IKEA. Thanks!
I love their sponges too.
We have been using the waffle towels for a few months now. They are much fluffier after the first wash and they are super absorbent! They also look luxurious! Highly recommend!
Great tips! I used the curtain wire as a photo rail when I lived in England; worked great!
Yes,It is great to hang pics of the grandkids as they age. It is nice to see a “hard copy”.
Vegetable brush ➡ makeup brush mat! So smart, and a great price! (Right now I use dish gloves bc I refuse to buy some giant pink mat!) I also appreciate your recommendation on the towels - bath and hair! Added to my shopping list, Kiva, thank you as always ✨
also would double to brush the cat! no, really!
Your hands are so beautiful - nails are on point (pun intended)- skin is perfection.💅🏽
Wow thank you so much!!
I thought the same when I saw her feet demonstrating the slippers! Am I weird? Haha...
Yes so beautiful nails and hands
Really enjoyed this video, mostly because you got the point on each item and didn’t drone on about its features. Lastly, you spoke in a tone that was pleasant to listen to.
I love your videos, please keep making them! For sponges I tried a silicone sponge and it didn’t get mildew or smell and worked really well 🧽!
Great finds!!! I agree - the table runner for the bed is genius!

Ikea scrub sponges are fantastic. They last a long time, have a soft and more harsh sides and best of all, they’re not a garish color
So glad you came into my feed, wow… I love your channel. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, thank you so much! I’m happy to have you here!

Love that!
You always bring Joy !😁

Yes, exactly!!
A french press (IKEA's Upphetta is perfect as well) makes even better latte foam. An undocumented feature )))
@@piotr433 Ooo! I have one of those. Is there some trick I don’t know about?
@@kimhaas7586It's a very simple trick: you pour heated milk in the french press and make a few decisive strokes with the piston (you may want to fine tune this technique adjusting the number and length of strokes). Thank you. Loved the Keychain phone stand.
Love your marble in the kitchen and gold bathroom hardware ❤
Thank you!! 😊
Thank you! Very helpful. And I saw the Alexander McQueen exhibit 2x with my young daughter. Changed us.
Thank you so much. I really love the canopy in the bedroom idea. ❤❤❤❤❤
Very helpful Kiva!
I’m so glad you are getting more value out of your bed base. Get better soon.
That organizer looks super helpful.
Thank you for highlighting these affordable IKEA finds, Kiva! Going to give the oil dispenser and the scrubber, for my makeup brushes, a try.
That’s awesome! Let me know what you think!
I love that you speak so fast. MORE info in half the time. Thanks for your ideas ftom Chilliwack BC Canada. YOU are fasinating
Love the amber bottle. Olive oil bottles rarely fit in my kitchen drawer. This looks like a nice size. 🌹
It's beautiful, I'm going to IKEA soon & I'm so glad I didn't miss out on these well made accessories.
Subscribed!

Thanks. I was heading to ikea to buy a bookshelf. I’m def gonna pick up a table runner
Thank you!! I see a trip to Ikea in the near future!!
Thanks! All of these items are great and you present them very nicely ❤
I always enjoy watching your channel.😊
Thank you!!!
Absolutely beautiful bathroom! Thank you for the great video.
Those slippers are amazing!
I love so many of your ideas and hacks! Time to go to IKEA! Thank you. ☺️
I have to travel and hour and a half to the nearest Ikea so this was great to watch knowing I'll find some awesome products.
Table runner is such a fantastic idea! I’ve never heard or thought of that❤❤
You can use them on the back of a sofa too. Lay them long ways. Protects from hair products getting in the sofa fabric.
Those slippers look great to carry with me when going to someone else’s house and taking my shoes off at the door.
And for traveling.
Driving...comfy
I LOVE the milk frother!!! I’m in Canada and here it is $5.99 not $1.99. But still worth every penny!
Excellent choices!
The best shoe organizer is the tall Billy bookcase: I fit over 50 pairs of shoes in there, woman size 9-10. If you get it with doors, it hides nicely the mess and is the most cost effective, visually pleasing shoe cabinet you can find!
oh, and you can adjust the shelves for short and high boots. Love it!
Fantastic information 👏👏👏
Thanks for watching!!!
The milk frother is also great to stir salad dressings and many other oil based sauces.
Thank you again for sharing your beautiful decorating and design thoughts to us. I truly appreciate this video and all of the great ideas you have in it.
I bought #80 of those key chain, cell phone holders and gave them out to everyone for Xmas. They were loved.
When I go back I'm getting more because people still ask were I got it from. I use mine everyday, several times a day.
