It's a beautiful thing for the NBA when Russ is back on track ballin again. Love to see it. 💯 Russ is one of the best at taking mediocre lineups in this case the Lakers bench and getting everyone involved and getting them rolling. We seen it for yrs in OKC post KD departure. Shout Out to Darvin Ham for having a plan for Russ. Vogel didn't know what to do with him and it showed.
Houston worked around him as did wizards. He isn't less of a player than when was there but he isn't in a system that caters towards him so unfortunately it marginalized him. I'm huge fan but certain things were overinflated eg okc they let him get rebounds alot or Houston went small (which they should've ran back) but him and harden had issues with team so they requested out. Only once has he really been a contender that was with kd and they had one healthy year post harden and russ wasnt the issue they blew their lead vs gsw
I think the part that I like most about Russ is dude just loves the game and did something that some aging NBA stars have a really hard time coming to terms with, that they're no longer in their prime and while still able to contribute now have to make way for the next wave of young players. He refused in the beginning but damn, the minute he put his ego aside and let it go and started to come off the bench the improvement was day and night. The fans are getting off his ass and actually being supportive (for the most part) and he himself seems alot happier🥲 Honestly, he's just a joy to watch man, always brings a smile to my face cuz he out there making a comeback story for himself
Russ is balling right now... Last 3 games Russ is averaging 20.6pts, 11 dimes, 8 boards, 1.6 steals, fg 22/46 47.8%, 3pt 6/15 40%, +/- +42... Let's go Russ 💪
i think it's officially safe to say lakers are back in business: 5 game win streak with Lebron playing like he's in his prime, russ doing work, dennis schroeder and thomas bryant getting buckets, and not to mention AD isn't even back yet along w lonnie walker
Almost Bro. Still work that needs to be done with the team. But they need to continue to ride this momentum and build on it when they get fully healthy. Go Lakers.
I always liked how he approach the game, even on his slow years i still had faith in him, look how everyone was like get Russell out of los Angeles but now he the main piece
Laker fans are so confusing “Trade westbrick I don’t ever wanna see him on my team again” “Westbeast 6 man of the year right now we love u Russ always have”
Outside of the first few games he started this season he’s been either good or great every game since coming off the bench. It’s not all about point the assists say a lot.
Russ is just unbelievably gifted as an athlete. He's now becoming a complete basketball player by adding skills. He's also become more serious, more focused and more thinking - controls the game better.
Russ is a beast 😎👍...through all the debilitating narratives spurred on by the media this young man is still playing lights out point guard in the NBA...shout out to Russ💪😎
the Lakers ascension this season all began with Russ accepting the responsibility of becoming the 6th Man. Looking forward to how we look come post-season!!
Title's a little over the top. He's been streaky coming off the bench as a backup point. You'll sometimes get spurts of brilliance, and sometimes disasters. That's the Russell Westbrook experience.
love to see all the playmaking from him ever since he came off the bench, and while he may not have the same bounce he did 6 years ago, hes still an offensive threat off that quick first step.
When ppl was saying get rid of him when he was in his slump, I was saying keep him he's coming. Kept saying he had to find his role and get comfortable with it, he's a dominate scorer he's use to the ball being in his hands constantly. He accepted his role off the bench and now he's ballin like the old Russ...
Atp, he has shown that he is a major part of the Lakers team. Sure people thinks he needs to be traded but if I’m the front office, he stays and continues to come off the bench and be great
Somebody has got to accept LESS THAN 2 future 1st Round Draft Picks to make Westbrook their #1 on the ball decision-maker during the 4th Quarter which is winning time, not just the first 3 Quarters.
Man Westbrook is so underrated when he’s playing good and he’s one of the most negatively critiqued players if he plays average. Bro averaged a triple double not once, not twice but four times, like who the fuck does that and he still gets disrespect from the media 😂 I’m sure people will start to appreciate him once he retires, keep playing hard Russ!!!
Darvin Ham is instrumental to Laker's improvement this year. He knows the players really well. You'll notice he'll take out Lebron as soon as he sees Lebron bad body language. Makes Lebron think of what he can do better to help the team as soon as he's back on the floor.
Casual nba fans and lakers media are shocked. Mf have short memories this man is a hooper put some respect on Russ. He carried them last season too when Lebron and AD were load managing half the games.
Russ change the NBA game with his athletism and aggressive style of game... Young player now play aggressive specially the point guard position... Most of point guard now a dunker! Inspired by Russ...
Russ..got better and better now.. that's it give your best for the team Russ ...and get that damn respect " of yours... Let's go lakeshow.. Long live the King LBJ.
Should Russ finish his career with the Lakers ? 👀
No
he should back to okc and carry like old times
As a fan of Lakers for 25+ years, I'd love to see it!
No
I hope he either stays with us or goes back to OKC.
As a die-hard Westbrook fan. I'm not surprised... Man is amazing.
I'm happy as hell right now I got you my man
I’m happy that he accepted to come off the bench and seems happy, good for him.
Same he definitely prolonged his career by doing so
On this lakers.. he is a starter

He shocks the league every year. He shocked them in Houston, in Washington, and now in LA. People just keep ruling him out for some reason.

To think last season everyone was killing this man is wild , see the mentality , he’s just a DAWG ❤️
Yeah especially when the other 2 stars played half the season lol wtf
Glad to see him smiling and having fun again 😁
Glad Russ is happy coming off the bench, and contributing to The Lakers recent success. Love to see Russ happy.
My favorite player since 08 I ain’t never switch up thru the ups and downs always an inspiration

AD has a an ankle problem nd will be out for a month so we will see him soon
What does back in Business mean they a first round exit at best probably won't make the playoffs👀
Still 0% at the chip without a trade 🤷🏾♂️
Always will be my favourite player, because he got me into watching NBA. Russel Westbrook 🙏🏻🔥🔥🔥
He is one of the best ever.

Would have loved to see his defense getting highlighted too, all the blocks and steals.
This is so cool to see Russ playing like before, he always had this greatness ! Huge fan of him, keep going Brodie, you deserve to be an All-Star 🔥

Nah it’s not that at all. It’s that Ham put him into position to play his game. He didn’t have that last year.
