As a tumblr post I always hold in mind stated: Make your product for 20-30 sickos at a time. The sickos will come.
Geez man talking about the Ngage I swear it sounded so familiar and I looked it up and it was exactly what I thought it was 😂. I remember the commercials for these and new 1 person that had it and I think it was my cousin
Great stream guys!! 🎉🎉🔥🔥 Also Simmons you're a genius with these ideas
wait. didnt talk about platinum. sick new looking platinum game was at this event.
Microsoft is in the business to make profits on software, putting your games everywhere guarantees this, its a 70/30 revenue split
64% of the Playstation player base bought Microsoft/Xbox games
The idea of exclusivity is starting to be seen as a bad thing because of how much it limits playerbase and harms software growth
It's gonna come down to who offers the best subscription model and services, software and platform, hardware will no longer matter
I definitely agree that this is Microsoft's viewpoint. They aren't saying it directly, but their actions say they are at the very least going to stop prioritizing hardware because they feel it silos their market share.
they said they are not leaving the hardware business
They say a lot of things.
Steam? Wouldn’t that compete with their services lol. Xbox is trying to earn money by selling games and subscriptions. Having Steam on their hardware, wouldn’t people just buy their games on Steam? I get that Xbox has games on Steam, but they still get more money from the games on their own store front.
Also, the Switch 2, from what we know so far, is more performant than the Rog Ally. Nintendo will be launching a better performing, better battery life, physical media supported, and possibly cheaper (we don’t really know the price yet; let’s be real) product than any of the handheld PCs. I mean they’re “undercutting” in more ways than one. Providing much better value at a possibly cheaper price point.
There's more and bigger reasons than that as to why Steam probably will never be on Xbox. Splitting profit is not the largest hurdle by far, but definitely a hurdle to the idea. Out of curiosity, where are you getting that the Switch 2 out performs a ROG Ally? It will definitely be cheaper than the other handheld PCs, but out perform them?
