Damn this video is a life saver the simple knowledge of knowing the regulators are the same thread between Acetylene and propane is good knowledge I just started getting into brazing I have smaller propane bottles that I fill with my 20lb tank but knowing I can use a Oxy Acetylene setup for propane and just switch tips and upgrading to T rated hoses
I'm not sure you can braze with propane because you can't use a brazing tip with propane I don't believe. I don't braze so it works great for me for cutting and heating. It does use more oxygen than with acetylene but uses very little propane.
I'm pleased you decided not to cut the metal inside the house :-) Oxy-propane is a great weed killer as well as a metal cutter. In Wales you don't need to worry about fighting fires as the ground is already wet
Your flame is a bit too oxidizing. If you lower the oxygen a bit, it will begin a cut faster. With a #0 propylene tip, if you turn the oxy regulator to about 100 psi, you can easily cut 2" plate.
lol "alright youtube were gonna get some water..." Great video. I hope to get my torch set up soon. Hacking away at 1/4" mild steel plate is getting old.
Thanks for sharing this, they recommend not to stand in front of the oxy regulator in case something went wrong and blow it up. good luck

No doubt since waterbeds were invented in Wales. :)
Mik W no need to fight fires in central west queensland australia at the moment as the ground is that dry that there is no grass left to burn.
Good video. The important thing was you didn't panic and reacted to put out the fire then continued, great job.
Great video. Learned something and reminded me of here, lighting our work area on fire.
Educational and funny! What better way to learn🤪
*Note to self: Water yard first, THEN cut plate✌🏼🤟🏼🤞🏼
Just good ole comon scence, like your style and true grit young man, be safe and have a blessed day

Who needs marshall when chase is on the case!
I made my own propane tips out of ole cuttin tips i may make a video soon
Helpful Tip.....Invest in Fire Extinguisher
Thanks for the video chase5726 I'm just starting out in the engineering world and found this very helpful!
It cuts just as good . Amazon seems to sell everything. Do all you southern boys all how to do the Texas two step. LOL
Can't dance a lick lol
Grass sure is flammable
you can have a fire extinguisher nearby to put that fire down :)
Don't waste a charged extinguisher when you have a hose👍
for that thickness i would have went with the 00 tip
Does your wife (or mom) know you are playing with propane inside the house?
Nice! I'm "converting" from acetylene to propane. Was that the #1 tip for that steel (3/8"?).
Fire fire! Lamfao!
great torch!!!!!
you just keep that stuff in your house lol
10:30 good thing you drank all that beer earlier other wise your house might of burnt down.
