This was the first NASCAR race I've ever watched. I'm English and we don't have NASCAR but we do have lots of rain so rain never comes as a surprise to an English driver. I must say I was surprised at just how many spins there were but it certainly made for entertaining racing. Those cars look like quite a handful in the wet.
They are about 600 hp RWD solid rear axel a Detroit Locker (basically full lock on acceleration 0 on deaccel and not traction stability or abs so your pretty much on your own
Survival is part of racing. Racing in adverse conditions, and doing your best despite adversity is what racing is all about. I like full speed as much as the next race fan, but I also like seeing drivers tackle new challenges, and show their grit and determination in the face of impossible odds. To me, that's racing. Racing's a little different for everyone, though. I respect your opinion. :)
Leila R. Wilson then watch different types of racing. Nascar is meant to be on dry pavement. there's no racing in this because they said they were too nervous to pass, they just want to finish!
Nascar was originally not raced on pavement at all, and rain wasn't really something they worried about 'til later on in the sport. I don't think that's a valid argument. Again, I respect your opinions, but maybe you could respect mine, too? I do indeed watch all kinds of racing, though. :) I'm kind of puzzled why you'd take the time to get into a debate over someone in youtube comments who enjoyed something you didn't. >_>; I'm fine with you not enjoying it. Can you be fine with me enjoying it?
Leila R. Wilson cars weren't going that fast back in the day and safety wasn't a concern. I've never disrespected your opinion and I'm taking the time to comment just like you are. calm down. no need to get so easily triggered.
I was at this race, the last 2 laps were a freakin downpour of rain. It was enough for a flash flood warning to come out. I've no idea why they wanted to end it under green for.
I remember that race. I was pulling for Day so hard. Most off track wasn't even Kenny Habul, that prize would be shared between Reed and the Obaika cars.
You didn't miss anything though. The race began with the green and yellow waved...still running at warm-up lap speeds, but with laps being counted (running yellow).
Love this type of racing! And love racing in the rain... ANDY LALLY. Who would not be in contention if it was dry (at least not as much as he was when it was wet.) We find out who can actually drive a car during these conditions.
Holy cow! Glad they ran the race, but what was the point of this? Might as well just blindfolded the drivers and let the spotters tell them where to go. At least that would make for good commercials.

Please NASCAR 🙏🏽 add more road course tracks 🤞🏽
The second dirt race of the year :D
And Justin Marks is back at the Chicago Street Course!
I wish sprint cup would come to this track
That Justin Marks interview. Wow. That was so moving
Coolest race of the year! Hope to see more rain racing in the future!
Leila R. Wilson are you kidding me?! they didn't even go fast to their full potential. even the drivers said they weren't racing, they were surviving!

this is the most exciting race I have seen all year.
This is one of the most exciting race ever.
I know right.! that's y I've been waiting all week for this race to be uploaded, didn't lack any bit of excitement.

Hopefully sprint cup comes to midohio or road america

NASCAR in the rain! This is absolutely awesome!
I remember that race. I was pulling for Day so hard.

I wish there was a live off-track counter lol.
hi
So far the best xfinity race of this season :D
This race proves that NASCAR needs more road courses. This type of racing is so much more fun to watch than 500 miles at Texas or Michigan.
The fall race at Charlotte will be a "roval" race this year.
@@AEMoreira81 road course oval
Ayrton Senna would be proud of Justin Marks. Senna loved to race in the rain. #Senna #RainRacing
Laurence Oliveri *Marks
Jesus this race was crazy. Every car off the track at some point
Green flag at 20:49
This is the best race I’ve ever seen! Definitely my favorite race in auto sports of all time!!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
37:32 zombie dodge tv time!!!!!
Challenge: Take a shot every time someone spins or slides off track. ;)
you trying to kill people? lol
This is my jam. With Commercials and everything. Thank you NASCAR. Now, do this for the 2019 races
This track is a bear even in high downforce cars with dry conditions. This was crazy to watch!
Mute this video.
Open another tab.
Search for and play 10 Hours of Yakety Sax.
Play the race with the race audio muted.
Enjoy!
Adam Moreira I know this comment was a year ago but that would be PERFECT!!
Why can't every race be like this where it swept me to the edge of my seat and keeping me entertained lol
This is the most interesting Nascar race i have seen in a long time
says full race, doesn't show the first laps
Cause it was the NBC sports app at the time.
You didn't miss anything though. The race began with the green and yellow waved...still running at warm-up lap speeds, but with laps being counted (running yellow).
I've been waiting for this race. It did not disappoint :D
Mid-Ohio "Sports Car" Challenge? LOL! Thanks for the race; this is exactly as USA Network aired it.
Too bad the Olympic basketball preempted the first 2 laps
+phillies4100 still a good game though haha
If it had been USA I'd have been better...
@@phillies4100_mainsite -- The first 2 laps were pre-empted, but the race began under a "running caution".
Awesome race!!!
The dale jr Goodyear commercial 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩
Best Xfinity race ever.
could you post the race faster? maximum on Wednesday or on Thursday after the race?
A NASCAR race AND a football game in the same broadcast? NBC is setting the bar high.
One of the few times where they upload the US feed and not the international one.
Parker Kligerman getting in to commentating early lol He ain't bad at handling pit road
why R there commercials
Because it's taken from the raw feed, unedited.

this is some benny hill stuff
Mute the video and play Yakety Sax in another tab while watching this video.
The most humble victory lane interview in the history of motor sports.
Good practice for some drivers who don't race in the rain!
I wish the Mecs would race here
gargantuan good
Sucks that Bubba Spun Out....
Ikr
Who DIDN'T spin out or go offroading, especially through Turn 4?
Take out the adds
Minute 19:16 in mid-ohio
Holy cow! Glad they ran the race, but what was the point of this? Might as well just blindfolded the drivers and let the spotters tell them where to go. At least that would make for good commercials.
Racing in the rain is a skill. That is why Andy Lally was in this race.
Who ever is number 88 is a terrible driver. He spun at least 10 times
I am emtiontional
have fun racing these cars .. cause .. if hiliary has her way .. your gonna be racing .. camels .. instead ..
How does that even make sense?
It's a reference to the emission regulations that'll will be put in place if Hillary is elected.
Don't worry. She'll probably require them to burn 1.5 gallons per mile for her oil ceo friends. What's wrong with NASCAR going green anyways?
racing camels? I thought they banned cigarettes as sponsors
Racing Boss Camels still emit a bunch of methane, which is a greenhouse gas, so that would have been out of the question.
fecking commercials... I'm gone!
The beautiful thing is this is RUclips and you can click forward to skip them. Quit complaining.
it used to be beautiful, when instead of adds, there was just pure engine sounds.
I think it's cuz USA was involved
