Inshore Fishing South Louisiana, New Orleans. Fishing the Rigolets in a 14 ft Jon Boat

My friend Jacob invited me to go fishing in jon boat. To avoid driving too far we chose to launch from Rigolets marina, a short thirty minute drive from New Orleans.
After launching we motored about 20 minutes out to a trestle. We fished the heavy current lines flowing under the bridge using live and dead shrimp to catch Sheepshead, Spotted Sea Trout, and Flounder..
When the saltwater bite fell off we motored into the marsh and fishied the grass lines with popping corks. Jacob used live shrimp and I used soft plastics and many Largemouth Bass were caught.

Fun bassin in the shallows, and that sheepshead was a whopper! 🐟 Its cool to fish from a jon boat. You can carry all your fishing gear 😀 LIKE alot James 👍🏻
