Catching Bass and Reds Fishing the Rigolets

I made a solo trip to fish the weather window prior to an approaching cold front. I anticipated the fish would be feeding with the falling barometric pressure. I had no idea the struggle would not be for me to find fish, but to get fish into the boat.

My fiancé and I love fishing there. Went fishing almost everyday for a week straight a couple of weeks ago. Caught eight nice reds, and three largemouths. And then I don’t remember exactly where we were, but a damn sheeps head almost took my lunch money 🤦🏻‍♀️ always guaranteed to catch some good stuff there. Unless you’re like me catching nothing but fkn gafftops by the train track and bridges 😂

Hey Addict... I have a 24 ft bay boat, I am hoping you will share a bayou or so near the rigolets that I can get my boat in and catch bass and reds. Thanks so much

It depends on the tide. I usually fish off the ICW and the bayous I have found there are deeper. I stayed close to the marina that day because of the looming weather.
