I just sold my 96 1100R . My Age got me before she did! Loved every minute with that bike. It was as important as a family member to me with the experiences I had with her for 28 years. Thanks for sharing.
@micmac1121 Hi, Thank you so much for commenting. It's great you had such a long and enjoyable time with yours. It was my first bike after returning to biking in 2011. Loved it, such a pleasurable machine to ride with real soul. It saddens me to think I sold her far too early. Even considered contacting the present owner to buy her back. Have my xjr1300 and r1250gs, which are lovely, but miss Barnaby! Take Care.
That's lovely to hear Steve. I've always regretted selling her. Still, need to move on. Went to South of France and Italy amongst others. I really enjoyed bringing her to showroom condition during my ownership. Spend lots of money on her along the way. Hope you have happy times. Say "Hi" for me.... 😊
I just bought a very very nice 1996 model R850R. I am about to start riding it this week in earnest. I had never had a Boxer and wanted to give one a go. What problems have you had with yours? I am trying to learn what to watch out for going forward. Mine has 20K on it today, and not a speck of rust.
Wow. Congratulations. That's fantastic! I've always regretted selling mine. Only only if I had of kept her. Even thought about buying back. I've got an R1250GS, which I love, but given the option, I would opt for the R1100R. It's not all about performance and technology! Happy riding.
@@CLLUK thank you! I rode a modern GS once and they’re an absolute blast but there’s definitely something about just you and the bike with the older 1100r
Okay, I didn't know they came without ABS. I've thought so many times of trying to find another one. Should of listened to all those people telling me not to sell it. Hope you find what you're looking for.
i know Im randomly asking but does anyone know of a method to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost the password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me!
@Maddox Caiden thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Sorry Austin at the late reply :). There are two orange switches here on the right handlebar, the one that I think you are referring to is the left/right canceler (unique, no maybe not, to BMs)
Lovely bike, looking to upgrade from a 2019 V85 TT to a 1998 R1100R That is.. if the old owner can find his keys >.< What type of engine oil did you used to use (reading that this can be an interesting subject) :)

She is a testament to your ownership a nd has only covered 4000 miles since you sold her respect stev6
So clean!
Veramente molto ben tenuta. Ne ho avuta una anche io, del 1996 color verde, per 90.000 km. Motore bello esuberante.😊
@@MotoLuHa Muchas gracias. Cada día arrepiento de haberla vendido 😪
@@CLLUK io mi sono pentito di aver venduto la R1150R che comprai dopo questa.
So sad, had the same a '98, not without problems but was a gentle soul.

@Maddox Caiden it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thanks so much you saved my account !
@Devin Carl You are welcome =)
Hejale, tengo la misma mismo año mismo color es mi joyita.
What is the teal switch with an orange background that can be seen at 3:02?
Sorry Austin at the late reply :). There are two orange switches here on the right handlebar, the one that I think you are referring to is the left/right canceler (unique, no maybe not, to BMs)
The “round teal” push button is the starter button, on top of the orange “kill switch”, which works both to the left and right.
Odd dash board on these earlier models imo.
@lefthandyandy I liked it. Thanks for watching.
Lovely bike, looking to upgrade from a 2019 V85 TT to a 1998 R1100R
That is.. if the old owner can find his keys >.<
What type of engine oil did you used to use (reading that this can be an interesting subject) :)
Thanks Derek, Motul 10W40. I never had any issues.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Muchas gracias Mario, lastima que no la tenga hoy dia :(
