Very good. I was wondering at the end why you needed a cigarette lighter in the back.. I was thinking hoover. But why would you want to plug just for the hoover? Then at the end it all made sense. It really matter if you wanna have power to your source when the engine is off (like leaving your phone to charge inside the car). The only source that has constant power inside the car is the lighter, for some cars. The lights and stereo get the power when you turn the keys to acc or start the engine.
Because I had to secure the wires first! By adding the plug and wires to the panel first, would be difficult to push the panel in place and risking to damage the wire contacts (continuously 12V power that could short in contact with the car chassis).

It’s easier to connect to the existing 12v socket (cigarette lighter). For most of the cars these sockets are on 5Amp fuses, so as long as you don’t use multiple devices at the same time, including the cigarette lighter, you will be fine. Multiple phone chargers used at the same time will work. The worst, the fuse will blow.
Fatima Hassan Cooler specs: Input voltage DC 12V, Power Input 45W(cold mode), 39W(hot mode). Don't know the amperage. For the 2nd question: This outlet is connected to the car 12V battery. Think about using another car battery to power your car battery for an engine start. They use super thick cables!! If you try to charge another battery through this socket than the wires are not thick enough and could either not work at all or get super hot and melt the insulation causing a short with the chassy, or blow a fuse.

It's about the amperage used. If the source being used for charging consumers more than the designed load, the fuse will blow. It's a safety feature!

In DC circuits, Current ( I ) is defined as Power ( P ) divided by Voltage ( V ). Therefore 45 watts / 12 volts = 3.75 Amperes.
why not use the chassis like the negative
