      You mean the systemic racism against white people, like affirmative action, which is the discrimination against white people in university admissions? How about diversity hiring, which is the discrimination against white people in business? How about back in the middle of the pandemic, medical institutions were instructed to deny treatment to white people? How about defense attorneys and judges in Democratic cities that intentionally release violent criminals, only because they're black? How about Critical Race Praxis taught in public school, who's ideas are directly taken from self-proclaimed racists like Robin DiAngelo, which gaslights children into believing that all white people are racist? Will you condemn any of these racist things like a true anti-racist would, or are you going to make excuses, because you're actually ok with (systemic) racism, as long as it's against a particular race (whites)? I've asked this question to many self-proclaimed "anti-racists", and so far, *not one of them has condemned the systemic racism against white people.* That tells me that this movement isn't actually about fighting racism, it's about revenge, and seeking power for people of color. Maybe you'll prove me wrong though...

    Are there any speakers who recognize the true complexity of privilege? For instance, materialistic privilege; the benefit of being a person who identifies with the values of this culture. Talk about being a fish swimming downstream. I may be a
    middleclass-white-cis-male, but my soul is an androgynous curandero of Pucalpa, and it's not inconceivable that I might experience more alienation and more difficulty assimilating with this status-seeking, object-obsessed society than most. Doctors in this culture call me schizophrenic. In any room in America, I feel like the odd man out. My identity is so much more than skin-deep. BTW, the Romans colonized and enslaved my people and I never adopted the materialistic values which motivated them to do it. In fact, I don't even know who my ancestors were, exactly. People of color, I probably identify with (and embody) the values of your ancestors WAY more powerfully than you do. I despise materialism. I despise industrialization. I shop almost exclusively in thrift stores, and I shop less than anyone I know. I don't pay taxes, the majority of which goes to fund imperialism in the modern world. I think we should be living in small, isolated communities, without standing armies, much like the ayahuasca-drinking aboriginals of Peru. I believe only people in such cultures can ethically procreate. Breeding in this society is the most powerful vote you can cast in favor of imperialism.

      Pete Ard If you would sincerely like help grasping the point of this lecture you might want to look up the work of Jaqualine Battalora. The classification of of white people as a racial group didn't exist before the 1600's and was created by elite British colonists to devide and conquer the labor class (indentured servants and slaves both black and white) by whom they were outnumbered in order to stop the possibility of another rebellion. Whites were put in positions of authority over blacks, antimesigination laws had been created (literally the first time the term white people appears in written history) specifically penalizing white people who marry outside their race, and created propoganda and pseudo science that justified the superiority of whites over black all in order to align now "white" slaves and indentured servants with their rulers and turn them against their african counterparts.

    • @brotherjulias4750
      @brotherjulias4750 7 лет назад +5

      Pete Ard The point that egyptians created racial categories is interesting but totally irrelevant to anything I said. The reason the the creation of the white racial category is important here is because prior to its creation, as you demonstrated by the example of Irish slaves, they did not view, treat, or behave towards eachother as a collective. Prior to this invention who you aligned yourself with socially and politically was a matter of nationhood. Furthermore, the point about Irish slaves getting bred with blacks only serves my point further. The reason this happened is because initial antimesigination laws penalized these now white people by making the children of mixed couples slaves until they were 20 yrs old and wives of mixed marriages slaves for the duration of the husbands life. Landowners took advantage of this to increase their workforce until the laws were changed to meet their intended purpose. Furthermore, I never denied black slave ornership, why would I when it only further demonstrates that prior to the invention of white people as a racial category, blacks had all the same legal rights as any other racial group and that the creation of this category was a political tool to divide and conquer and a way to have access to more women that could produce white offspring since the there wasn't a very high male to female ratio in the colonies.

    • @peteard5089
      @peteard5089 7 лет назад

      Julias Thompson I brought up the Egyptians because that was before the 1600's and the Irish slaves because it was after the 1600's. Which is why I don't believe the European elites are all to blame for the seperation of labor classes. In fact serfdom and caste systems which were pre-cursors to slave classes or original slave classes (depending on your view) were around before the Saxons nobility was a imperialist power.

    • @brotherjulias4750
      @brotherjulias4750 7 лет назад +4

      Pete Ard Look, you agree that their was a vilification of race mixing, records show that mixed relationships and marriages were common. You brought up black slave owners so you know that had the same legal rights outside of slavery and indentured servitude, and, as I mentioned before, they
      rebelled against the elites together, look up Bacon's rebellion. The mixed race labor class wasn't divided until the white racial category was invented through antimisegenation laws. Egypt is irrelevant to this discussion.

    • @brotherjulias4750
      @brotherjulias4750 7 лет назад +2

      oaxacachaka holy shit, are you stupid or did you did you just purposely not read or understand anything I wrote so you could maintain your worldview? Nobody is in denial of world history here but you. I don't think white people are the only people who have slaughtered "others", I understand people have been killing other people for a long time. As far as this paticular instance in history is concerned ,(prior to the creation of micegenation laws) there was a time when the concept of "white" people didn't exist. Those who we now call white people had a national identity, not one based on skin color and we're in many instances treated just as badly as slaves. Races intermingled until micegenation laws were created in American colonies to stop the new category of white people from breeding with other races. Yes the Egypt shit happened but had been had irrelevant to race relations for a long time before the colonization of America. The new "white people era" was a whole other era predicated on something entirely different. As I said before, just look up bacons rebellion. Blacks and whites rebelled TOGETHER against the elites.

    As it related to the "god is white" part. Iconography and marketing images , in any country , is generally oriented toward the majority. In countries where POC are the majority, the religious iconography matches the predominant racial group in that country. Jesus is hispanic in hispanic countries, even if there are people that aren't hispanic living in those countries. The fact that images cater to the majority is just an attempt to reach with the majority. As the population of white people in the US has become smaller, the images in marketing have diversified. The diversification in media often follows from the change in the demographics ; it is just good marketing.
