A friend of mine was rebuilding a classic car a while back, and when it came to the wiring loom he was looking at months of work due to loads of ‘have-a-go handymen’s’ handiwork. One night he happened to catch a repeat of this episode, saw this scene. The following morning he was on the phone with them talking about a completely new loom, and a while later it came. And it works even better than the original did before it was butchered. Just goes to show: every one of these companies Mike, Edd and Ant visit, someone somewhere is looking for their services.
Exactly. When ever i read of someone who owns a TR7 they always seem to love the car. And if a car is still going after 40 years it must be a great car. Yes, the early models had problems, but even many of those are still around. Maybe he's jealous ha
@@BlackWolf-di9gq and the Early ones were great cars after the owner replaced whatever was bad. My aunt has a 75 TR7 that she bought brand new while she was in San Diego in the Navy and still has it and drive it all the time, once she got all the bugs worked out of it the TR7 is an AWESOME little car. Yeah it's had to have the engine rebuilt a couple times and it's had a couple paint jobs but it 49 years old.....
It really pisses me off when I've been watching Ant put something together and I'm thinking, 'just cleaning the bloody part.' The guy pisses all over the TR7 with nothing good to say. And if you are going to replace the front loom, do that back as well. Quit with the dramatic pauses. It's probably me but I would have dusted the inside and out of the dashboard before anything got put back together. Reminds me of the Series III orange Land Rover they did, didn't even clean the thing. Also. STOP dissing on the TR7. It may have been bad in the day but with modern better constructed looms, switches, relays etc, classic cars are better today. Get on with the job and stop given a bad impression of how bad the show is now. The drive around after the job was too long winded. Too much bad attitude in this episode.
I have been following the history of TR7 and TR8 for 45 years. In Germany it was never particularly popular, but I have never seen it as negative as Ant talks about the TR7. These are the old prejudices that nobody really cares about anymore. This is really a shame!
My ex wife is British and I heard it alot, the early (74-76) TR7's were REALLY bad cars and had OPSS/Recall after OPSS/Recall after OPSS/Recall but after they worked out the bugs and replaced the bad parts they were REALLY good cars, My ex mother-in-law bought a TR7 brand new in 76 and in the 5 years she owned it it spent it's life going in and out of the dealership and she only put about 10k on the odometer in that 5 years because just about every time she drove something broke or there was a manditory OPSS (What the Brits call a Recall) on it. She ended up trading for TR7 for a TR8 and has driven the wheels off it.
I thought Ant hating on the TR7 was an act when I first watched the episode. I now believe Ant has a deep dislike for the TR7... i wonder how he feels about the TR8? 😜
This episode should be banned. I've never seen a car being put down like this. A friend of mine owned one in the late 70's and it was a very nice comfortable car.

Brewer has found someone to work with that’s almost as annoying as he is, thank god he’s gone, and less time annoyingly messing around at the end, would have given more time showing us how to do the jobs, bring back Ed
Love TR7,s owned one for 10 plus years
I still own mine. Purchased it 40 years ago.
Glad you liked yours.
@@generatorjohn4537 what is with Ant,s hate of the TR7?

That wiring loom doubled the price of the car!
"This car catching on fire wudnt be such a bad thing?!"🤬 How, DARE he say that about the TR7!🤬

I bet that "P&R" manual is Peugeot and Renault.
Pretty cool
I had one back in the day, it had incessant electrical faults
Of course people get scared when messing with the wiring harness, it oftentimes they're scared of screwing it up
How could you downvote this? Oh Ed cult members...

Edd was good but Ant is OK too. They both have good points.
Mike Brewer though he just fat London man with mouth too big.
Greeting from Russia.. ❤️
Year's ago I was driven in a TR7 I thought it was alright.
Anthony needs to was his mouth out with soap it would be disastrous a TR7 or any other triumph catching fire
Who is the woman at minute 2:26? She looks so cute
Btw Mike never sold this car for the price he wanted.

What's with Ants arm and hand shaking, your fixing a car not making a cake mix in a cookery TV show.
A great show ruined by Ego and new production company. Great job
All this episode taught me was that Ant has terrible taste.

Ant likes a 45 yr old Saab….but hates a classic TR7….better off buggering off to California and marrying a movie star billionaire…oh you have !!.
Unwatchable. Bring back Edd!
Hopefully the loom wasn't made by Lucas.
Ant has no tv skills whatsoever
Ed could shit a better wiring loom
Shitting loom out could be hurt.
