After succeeding at 8 heat and 16 heat, I've decided that I'd like to attempt 32 heat as well. Maybe I'm being silly cuz I just want all 3 Skelly statues xD But it's a challenge I'd like to complete as someone who loves Hades. Your resources have been very valuable so thanks for posting so many Hades guides. I'm a bit nervous about 32 heat because my 16 heat choices allowed for lots of flexibility and I'm certain that 32 heat is gonna remove a lot of that former flexibility. But I'll give it a try and see if your resources will make it any easier!
I've done it and I would say definitely tinker with which heat settings you're using as you play. Some things are easier to handle than others. And be prepared to just die and be able to laugh about it and go on another run. You'll get there.
@@johnhammon1718 I'll def need to think about it cuz my 16 heat were already very specific to how I play. The heat I used: EM 3 for 6 Mini bosses for 2 Blue hearts for 2 Expensive prices for 2 Enemy extra health for 2 Armored foe perks for 2
@@l.n.3372 Definitely think about using at least a 9 minute timer and cutting down on enemy health. As long as you pause when you're making door decisions, and you're reasonably aggressive, you won't have a problem with it. Also blue hearts is heavily dependent on what weapon and boons you're using. Dio hangover on gun? You'll strip them off quickly. Artemis crits on bow attack? You're missing major damage. I use 7 minute timer now usually though and it's very manageable for 3 heat.
it's kind of a bummer that Ares, the god of war, is the least sought after god in the game when it comes to, you know, dealing damage, and getting Ares in a run is generally combines with "noooo dammit, not Ares, go away!"
@@expiredmilk5435 That, or you can make him work with other gods, but that means you suddenly have to orient yourself around him. If you have hangover - Dio-Ares duo (prob the only *simple* good duo). If you have Artemis in your pool - grab the cast and then Art-Ares duo, but this requires more Ares boons to be viable at high heat (general rule for other combos). Ares is probably the god I want to like the most, but is at best an inconvenience unless I've decided from the start I'm doing an Ares run.
@@ThePoshboy1 That's a very specific scenario where you decide you're going for that duo right from the start. And if you get unlucky and don't get it (or get it very late), you're stuck with a pretty bad build. Doom deals damage after a considerable delay and cannot be stacked (and the one boon that allows stacking it sucks). If you get Slicing Shot early on, you might try going for Hunting Blades. Getting an Ares boon when you were not anticipating it in the middle of a run is undesirable, because he does not synergize with other gods well, save for very specific duos. There are also very few attacks that work with doom better than with raw damage increase or Zeus / Dionysus. The best boons Ares can offer you that do not fill core slots are Urge to Kill and Battle Rage, neither of which are all that impactful.
Just now i accidentally made a blade rift cast build, shit was op. i had 6 cast(3 + 2 from artemis + 1 from charon) epic PP, aphro-artemis boon + ares-artemis boon for cast and extra crit chance, i had aphro attack on aspect of eris + 15% from the extra 5% of dio's fountain boon
That does sound great, but situations like this is why I always have Stygian soul. It’s worse in the start, but you only need 1 extra cast from Chaos for it to be sooo much better than Infernal. I’m a real sucker for cast builds

My only time beating 32 heat was with Lucifer, Aphro special and triple bomb. A frankly absurd setup for damage and kiting once I could slow but honestly I don't remember anything else about how I beat it or the build tbh. All I remember is I started that run to show a friend how absurdly tough 32 was for me and it... Just kind of started falling into place.
29:31 (size of dev team)÷(size of company) along with (size of dev team) Can't just "artificially" make a "small dev team" because then you might have 10/1000 compared to 10/10, but getting the actual numbers would also prevent something like 1000/1000 vs 10/10 LMAO Probably not the best idea but I think it's a lil better eh?
when i first got crystal beam, i thought it was so op i literally devoted the entire run to buffing the crystal and i got to hades just to lose to second face

My primary weapons are Eris rail and Demeter fists. So I'll probably use one of those at least.

I like Ares boons. I prefer them to Demeter and Aphrodite on average.
Yeah, he's rough. People like to say he's not that bad, but every time I get him I'm bummed. Unless I'm trying to go for merciful end or something.

Wait, picking up the gems and fishing? Who are you and what have you done with Haelian?
I've seen him fish a couple of times if the fish was in the boss room, so it wouldn't affect the timer
