Built your design a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely love it. Have never made chamfers that were as accurate and crisp before this. Love it, and my wife used it today on her boat she is building and was bragging about how well it works.
there are tons of talented wood workers on you tube but your tool making skills are on a whole other level, fantastic to see someone with such amazing abilities producing such great stuff with pretty simple tools.
Dear Sir, Yet again you've selected your timber, carefully marked al components, worked them, glue them & finally after a good dose of sanding, you've assembled the entire components to bring about a most beautiful chamfer plane. As always with spectacular results. Very well done is seems a bit of a mild understatement. Kind regards.
Certainly worth the effort and an excellent video (once again). Thank you for not ruining the video with background music. ;) You can later extend the plane for other profiles, for instance 30+60 degree or 22.5 degree. Note 30+60 degree only needs one tool. Also rounded profiles could be useful to make. All this could actually be done by making "inserts" using for instance dovetails.
I have a chamfer plane by Tsunesaburo, and watching this video makes me appreciate the making process! Beautiful work as always! Your videos are really inspiring!
Your attention to detail and the beautiful results you attain in your tools are amazing. Thank you for taking the time to video your process and share with everyone. Jim
Very nice job, seems to be an old man trying to pass his knowledges to the next generation, everyone should follow your example. My father has too many skills too, and I wish he could do the same. It's a pity to lose these skills without passing away. Congratulations!!!
Bravo vous etes un artiste que ce soit pour la qualité du travail de l'outil ou pour la qualité de votre vidéo merci d'avoir pris le temps de partager.

I just figured that a great clamp design would have to be one that has an L seat on one side to align 'floating' pieces of wood like that. That aside, stunning looking plane. And of course, very functional.
nice job, now you just gotta figure out how to use 1 adjustment screw which might be a little hard. Possibly two sleeved tubes with springs forcing them apart on either end with a lead screw just under the blade, meaning the small plane can only be used in this device
Once again an aesthetically beautiful and functionally creative tool/piece of art. Your videos are the perfect defence against my constant battle with pride. Very well done. R
Sir, I think all your tool videos are fantastic. I just wish you'd share more info on the angles, mouth opening size, blade sharpening angles and so forth.

New Young Je video. Unless the building is burning down, I stop what I'm doing to learn how amazing hand crafted tools are made. Another masterpiece.

Very good! So smooth operation, that made me want to build one, although I always think "router", when it comes to chamfers :-)
I built one a while back and it is usually faster to use the chamfer plane than it is to setup the router, at least on one off small jobs.
Parabéns meu amigo ótimo trabalho ficou top
