- Welcome to our Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady Sea Terrace stateroom tour! This is cabin 11094Z.
Do we think the hammock is a big gimmick? Actually it really suprised us how comfortable it was, we enjoyed spending time lounging in it. This is the first cruise ship we’ve been on that has a hanmock on the balcony and we loved it, well done Virgin Voyages!
The standard Sea Terrace room on Virgin Voyages comes in at around 185-225 sq ft and is suitable for 2 to 4 people.
All rooms include the following amenities:
Rainfall showers
Mood lighting controlled via in room tablet
Large TV
Bathroom toiletries
Ample power and USB outlets
A large safe
Other than the smaller terraces at the front, most of the Sea Terrace cabins feature a hammock.
We hope you find this cabin tour useful! Please look out for our other Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady videos.
Our Valiant Lady cruise started in Barcelona and we cruised to Marseille, Cannes, Palma De Majorca and Ibiza, before returning to Barcelona.
Thank you for Virgin Voyages for giving us the opportunity to sail with them and to bring you along on our Valiant Lady cruise. The cruise fare was complimentary and we received access to Richards Rooftop. All flights, hotel, transfers and onboard spending such as Bar Tab's was paid for by ourselves.

🐒🍌🚢 About Us - Who are the Cruise Monkeys?
We are bananas about cruising! We started cruising in 2014 by doing a mini cruise on P&O Aurora. Making videos of our cruises and sharing our experiences has become our hobby - the complete video is filmed and edited on an iPhone. The videos are our opinions and experiences while on board - really they are us having fun and brining you along with us!
We may not be the youngest cruisers but we are trying to break the stereotype that cruising is for retired people. On a cruise you will normally find us wondering around the ship taking in the atmosphere (and working our way through the cocktails).
We have sailed on Celebrity Cruises, P&O Cruises, Cunard Line, Princess Cruises, MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Virgin Voyages and Avalon Waterways. We'd love to try Ambassador Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), Fred Olsen, Holland America (HAL), Disney Cruises, Carnival Cruises, Costa, Aida, Marella and Celestyal.

We finally got around to watching
Yay! Bit different eh?
I like the balcony! Thank you for the video
Our pleasure!
Brilliant tour - love you guys your hilarious ! Especially when you said toofbrush 😅😂
Hahaha! Didn’t notice that! Must have been the champagne kicking in! 🙈😂
Mrs John here. Enjoyed looking round the Virgin cabin. Nice to see something different. Not sure about the ‘ coffee table’ though. No one in Yorkshire would call that a coffee table! It’s a ledge. Small bathroom but aren’t they all, but liked the modern shower. I-pad control for lights and curtains might be a bit confusing for Mr John though and don’t get me started about that hammock and my hips. 😉 You made it look so easy. Thanks for taking the time to show us round.
Hello 👋 Glad you enjoyed the look around! Hahaha! The iPad was not too complicated - most things one touch which is good for those not tech savvy. Bathroom was snug but the shower fab. Comfortable cabin but not the best! Surprised ourselves with the hammock - thought we’d get stuck in it!
The only thing that would tempt me to go on Virgin would be the food. However food is only one part of the experience and it is just not big enough to overcome the rest for me🚢😊
The food is fab! Hopefully our vlogs which will release over the next few weeks will give you a good insight! We loved it and met many others of all ages and backgrounds that love it too.
Hi both,
Oh not sure about cabin , cant manage hi tech either!!
It looks perfect for you youngsters 😊,
Look forward to watching the rest , we are too traditional!!
‘Us youngsters’ awww 🥰
Hope you enjoy the vlogs 😀
Looks nice boys! Thanks for the room tour. Can't wait for the up and coming content!
Thank you! Stay tuned!
The best part of this video is.......
Luke is getting really excited about hairdryer 😂
And don’t forget the nice bin 🤣
@CruiseMonkeys maybe Luke lost his mind on red ship 🤔 🤣🤣
Can't wait to watch a full vlog now, guys 😍
Sorry but not fussed on that cabin, reminds me of my Ikea bedroom when i was a kid. Cheap & plastic , that curtain yuk!. That's one main reason we will not be trying Virgin Cruises - they should stick planes & not ships! Hope you guys enjoyed your trip & thanks for sharing the experience so we don't make the same mistake😘
It’s definitely not your traditional cabin but everything felt good quality and the bed comfy, but do know what you mean by ikea. Several others have said the same too 👍
Enjoyed the vlog guys. The bed did not look too comfortable though. What was it like in reality? Not to sure if I could have got in the shower though but I fo like those waterfall shower heads. Personally feel Virgin should have upgraded you guys. You are so professional in what you do. Looking forward to the rest of the series 😁
We thought the same on seeing them, but we found them comfy - had great nights sleep. We’re used to to firm style mattress so that might be why it suited us. The shower was fab, loved the rainfall part but the room was snug!
Ohhh, we were grateful they invited us on, so a standard balcony was perfect as that’s what we’d pay for, even an inside we’d have been happy 😃
We found the bedding to be so uncomfortable we couldn’t get a good nights rest. Because that one issue we’d not return. Perhaps they were to get a real mattress we’d try it again.
Such a shame but it’s a lot of money to spend if your uncomfortable so don’t blame you 👍
Forever 21 and IKEA got married and gave birth to this cabin! LOL!
Haha love that comparison 🤣
🐵 🐒 very nice cabin! Although that bathroom is a bit poky! 🤪
Yeah, definitly one of the most snug space wise, a bit more space and it would have been perfect!
Excited to try Virgin next year, but definitely not for this cabin that just screams Cheap; they definitely did not spend any money in these “dorm rooms”. Storage looks really lacking compared to prior cruises on NCL, Oceania, and Royal Caribbean.
The cabins certainly are a step away from the traditional cabins but we found the it perfect for our needs. Could spend hours swaying away in that hammock
Question: Is tonight the first of your vlogs on this cruise, day one embarkation day? If so what time? Thanks
Yes, 7pm (U.K. time) 🥳
Looks a good size cabin, why do nearly all cabins for 2 people only have 1 chair??? 😬
Yeah, always seems to be the way! Unless you get a room that sleeps 4 as they'll have a nice big sofa then ;)
Virgin Voyages seem such an odd one to me. The idea of appealing to a younger market is great, the entertainment looks interesting, the food sounds really good but then the decor throughout (but particularly in the cabins) looks very cheap to me, the pools seem tiny and the prices are so over the top and prohibitively expensive.
I feel like they're a bit confused on what they're trying to offer and who they're trying to cater to. That said, if i look at P&O who I've used several times i think the same could be said of them - they seem to they're three different brands depending on the ship. Maybe a common thing amongst cruise lines now as they try to widen their appeal 🤔
absolutely agree, cruise lines are trying to re-organise a little to appeal to new markets, the big ships - piling them high and selling cheap, with lots of ad on’s. Virgin is still new so too finding their way. The next few weeks our vlogs will show you what we got up to onboard, we have to say this was one of the best cruises we’ve had - which is high praise from us. We’ve put our money where our mouth is and have booked one of the cruises from Portland next year.
I cans see what they are aiming for - fresh and young - but it is missing a bit of bougee luxury considering the price point. Can’t put my finger on it but needs a bit more luxe.
It really wasn’t that bad, I didn’t think we’d like it but actuality being onboard it was comfortable enough.
The thing is when virgin first launched they were going out of their way to be totally different to any other cruise line out there, things have definitely settled down a bit regarding the room becoming more practical for the stewards at least.
They used to convert the bed into a couch every morning by default the idea being to give you a lounge rather than a bedroom but it must have been a lot of work for the crew.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the rooms being remodeled when the ships go in for their first refits, permanent beds might very well be installed I think.
I feel like the cabins look nice but basic - the wardrobe with just a curtain rather than door etc. A bit like an Ibis Styles or something. 😆
We kinda follow you there, the curtain is a bit cheap but it was alright. The room looks bare and minimal but it’s nice clean and comfortable very modern looking. Having now stayed in the room we can say we thought it was really comfortable but a permanent proper bed would be better (perhaps these will be installed in the future) the bedroom to lounge daily conversion isn’t default practice these days so they might take something from that.
@@CruiseMonkeysyeah I absolutely wouldn't let the room design put me off, it looks like it does the job perfectly well. Definitely want to try Virgin Voyages when the time comes for my next cruise.
@utterlee we’d highly recommend them! In fact we’ve booked one for next year if that’s anything to go by! 😉 our vlogs will hopefully start this Friday they’ll go into our experience in more detail.
@@CruiseMonkeys awesome, will look forward to watching!
No, don’t like it, looks like done in the cheap and the room only works with the original idea of the bed being transformed back to a couch in the day. Style over substance and to me, not much style either. But, it wouldn’t be good if we all liked the same things, great review, thanks
Thanks, glad you found it a great review - hopefully it has given you a good insight!
the rooms look too sterile and like a cheap rental sadly
Lots say ‘ikea’. It actually feels nice and modern in there but far from your traditional ship. They’ve tried to improve it with the wood trim etc. they are learning 👍
Just sailed on a Norwegian cruise line and they were charging $6.50 for a bottle of water in the cabin. 😂
Call the police, there has been a robbery! Why do they charge so much 😞
I loved the vlog, but wasn't impressed by the cabin. Looks like my student digs at uni!! Decor by Ikea🤣But maybe they don't want people to stay in their cabin, but be out exploring on the ship. No place really to sit, except on the bed.
Hahahaha yeah lots say the same! It was comfortable but as you say, most of the time we’re our and about the ship 😀
the hammock looks dangerous...
It’s so comfortable and easy to use! Might fall asleep in it though
Probably not going to be a popular opinion... But, I think it looks cheap and nasty. Virgin always trying to do things different and then stop, just like the sofa/bed thing. So now, you have ended up with a massive bit of wasted space where your "coffee" table is. All fur coat and no knickers when it comes to Virgin anything. Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole I am afraid.
They are definitely mixing things up and tying to find their feet. They are still a new cruise line, let’s hope they take comments like yours onboard 👍
We found the room great for us, but rooms to us are a base to sleep and change. The hammock we were expecting to be a gimmick but we actually loved it, so relaxing.
Nah - don’t like the room and just confirms my views about Virgin. Go back on Iona, boys !
Hehe! Not much between them to be honest!
@@CruiseMonkeys ahh - anyways your vids are brilliant. Love ❤️ them.
Would be great to bump into youse on a cruise some time and buy you a drink. We love watching.
